Interesting. I knew about the Vinyl Moon one (that cover with the pinball machines was really cool, along with the blue and red record). However, just listening to the one album that I tried, I just could not get into most of the music they have on there. However, I will admit that I am intrigued by that "Black Box" that will cater more to my tastes. Also, about the Third-Man Records subscription price mentioned at about 11:30 in the video. That is NOT $75 per month. That is $75 per QUARTER, which is every three months, thus comes out to $25/month. It seems they ship their "vinyl vault" once every quarter, but as you said, it appears to contain at least three full-length albums as well as several other perks. Seems to be really worth it if one is into Third-Man Records and Jack White.

i think that for me, the excitement is really about discovery in a store. that's a big part of the fun even though I completely understand that I miss out on atuff that I normally wouldn't go for.
Vinyl moon has the best idea and delivery, but after like 30 of them I was only finding I found 1 good track per LP. Wax & Stamp ended up being a ton of unsold B-stock from record labels and their friends/employees who made bad records. Once and awhile you get some good grooves, but they even sent out complete mis-presses one month which made realize they don't even listen to what they ship. Kinda odd,=.
i like the idea of services but I never do any subscriptions other than streaming tv and PlayStation plus so I can play with my family online. Third Man Records is incredible.
VMP has had my money for over a year now for the Grateful Dead anthology set. I had to send them an email asking when was it going to ship. I got a response stating it should ship this summer. Now they are saying that it supposed to ship this October. With problems like that I am hesitant to join their subscription service

I’m disappointed to hear your experience with Wax and Stamp. I reviewed them 4 years ago: I wonder if standards have slipped!
