    Thx SG :-) for sharing your experience. My setup is PL72 & PL62 X "Mara X"
    Yes … A step less grind mode would defiantly be desired for my workflow. Especially for fine espresso grinds where my PL72 in settings are always below #4 and closer to #1.
    My simple thought is to remove the detent balls and springs but suspect there is some torque and vibration feedback from the grind head when operating which could move the setting if not secured some other way. I've not tried just my brief thoughts.
    On singe dosing, yes that would be great. Being able to conveniently try different coffees on that wonderful Mara X would be a huge plus.
    Again some no cost design off the cuff thoughts … a change of the hopper assembly or plastic insert to; feed the "single" shot supply of beans; stop "popcorn-ing" and allow for a bellows blow out to dislodge grind remnants.

    For mine, I have 3 balls with spring. I move one on the second level and now I can dial with more accuracy. 4 step by level rather 2 before. Very happy for the result ! 😃

      I've just done the same. It's a game changer. The big steps in the grinder knob are my only issue with this grinder. Being able to turn a quarter step is his helps so much!!!!

      I can also confirm it have 3 springs on a unit produced in 03/22.
      I moved one spring on the inner dimples and now can do 1/4 adjustment compared to 1/2 adjustment before.

    i have this grinder. when i recently took it apart to clean it out and put it back, my grinder step is now set between 10 and 1. this is "area" which grinds the best for my beans, however, it makes it very difficult to make adjustments since it's in that "undefined" range and not on a specifc number. is there a "top dead center" or zero out the adjustment so that it starts somewhere in the middle, like 5-6?

    Great teardown. I have the 71, and it is hard to turn around. Been thinking of taking it a part and now you convinced me to do so.
    A thought, maybe take one of the balls out, or move them to the inner hole if possible? Since there are two tracks in the knob that is. Using the inner track should make it easier to turn around.

    Maybe Mauro is listening …
Cambio (oppure modificà) di tramoggia e impostazioni di rettifica menzionate in inglese. È tutto. Comprerei un kit che potrebbe farlo? Sì, in un batter d'occhio.
    Stamiben :-)

    How does William compare with your previous niche zero or eureka mignon? Looking to buy a decent grinder mainly for espresso for now but still want to have some diversity. Mainly 2-4 espressos per day

      Hi atfter cleaning you basically have to re calibrate. See where is the point where your burrs touched each other. Then open it again turn your dial to Zero or 1, then fix it back again

    Stefanus I want ask your opinion, I have grinder feima 600 N and ferrati ferro fcm 3605 machine.. I want to upgrade my home espresso machine but I have tight budget, on your opinion should I go straight to Bianca and use my old grinder, or buy Mara X and modify with paddle and mano like yours plus buy another grinder like William?

    I also want your opinion on my lelit machine purchase as you seem to have experience with most lelit models.
    I’m deciding between the Mara x, Victoria and the Elizabeth. As I only make around 3 flat whites per day, do I really need db or hx machines? But I’m also concerned that the Victoria does not have enough steam power to make quality creamy milk. The Mara x looks sexy but Elizabeth seems to have less drawbacks. Can you give me some opinion please

    • @StefanusGoana
      @StefanusGoana  3 года назад +1

      Hi back to your budget then. All 3 machines able to perform however Victoria require longer time as you need to switch from brewing to steaming and vice versa.
      MaraX will require longer warm up
      Elizabeth not sure what to complain about

    • @davidchiu1296
      @davidchiu1296 3 года назад

      Thanks Stefanus,
      I’ve narrowed down to Mara X or Victoria. The only thing I want to ask is the steaming power worth the price difference (price difference is roughly the price for a eureka mignon grinder). Is the steaming power much weaker even when using 140 degrees?
      Also for future improvements for flow control is not cheap for the Mara x, and I’ve seen one of your videos that you can somewhat use flow profiling the Victoria by controlling the water knob so makes my lean more towards the Victoria.
      Seems on paper I can get roughly the same steam power (maybe not as long). Can you confirm that please?
      I only make 3 flat whites back to back per day, then I shut off the machine, thanks for your help

    • @StefanusGoana
      @StefanusGoana  3 года назад

      @@davidchiu1296 yes if your budget is there Victoria is good enough. the only annoying part is the noisy pump, but perhaps you can try to change with silent pump from MaraX

    Why you changed your machine from Bianca to Mara X? is there any specific reasons that Mara X worth compared to Bianca? By the way, I am a home Barista and looking for upgrading my Breville Bambino plus to Mara X or Bianca, and I am totally confused. I want to grow my skills without changing my machine

      Hi, i'm also a re-seller of Lelit product so i'm basically using whatever machine that is new to learn and find out more about it. I have had Bianca for more than 1 year so i thought i want to experience others as well to give a true and honest testimony, not only selling specs written in Lelit's website. About your upgrade, if you have extra cash then go for Bianca it is an end game. Cheers
