My aux jack would “work”, but would constantly disconnect. I followed this guide to fix it and started by just prying the connectors out some. Then tested it and I couldn’t get the car to go to the aux input at all. Was very concerned at this point that I may have broken something, but decided to solder the two pins together as you had shown and then tested it again. Now it works like I expected it to from the factory. Sound is great and constant. Thanks for this video. Was very useful in figuring out how to get the aux connector out and what to do with it once I did.
thanks so much, my aux jack now works, for anyone wanting to do this, please note that the part where he mentioned soldering the pins i think around 00:26 into the vidoe is extremely crucial, otherwise whatever you do wouldn't work.
The ground is on the side to the right the middle ring connection is on the left and I got that from the front, but from the back thats the tip connection, let me know if you figured it out, thanks

I got the first two connections, but how did you access the ground through the back? I took off the little panel but can’t seem to find it.
