I have a mint lt1 trans am 1994 but it’s lt1. I wanted to ls1 it but I feel like the Lt1 is becoming more rare which I like. I’ve added a cat back exhaust, koni shocks and stranos lowering springs, brand new brakes and rotors, pan hard bar, rear and front strano sway bars, long tube headers and now a cam and subframe connectors will be next.
My brother has a 1995 z28 and I have a 2000 SS. Maybe my car needs a tune up but the Lt1 holds its own pretty good and sounds amazing! My car has 65k miles and bone stock. I'm thinking its time for some suspension upgrades.
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." is good, but I also like Benjamin Franklin's, "A stitch in time saves 9". Of course, not many people wear wool socks anymore (I do), but when a small hole starts, if you don't put one stitch in it right away. You'll be putting 9 stitches in it very shortly. Hence, "A stitch in time saves 9."
14:36 only question I have is about jacking the car up. Can you jack the car up by the new K member like I do with the stock k member? Other than scratching it up, will that one bar hold up to that? Looks like it may mess it up or bend it.
My complaint is that he didn’t clean up the spindles. Going thru all this trouble and at the very least he could have just scrubbed them down and maybe hit it with some black paint
@@SpeeeedyG 14:30 just saying… go thru the trouble of replacing the front end, it would have looked even better to clean them up and put clean coat of black on there
BMR offers several levels of kits for the 4th Gen F-Body. This one is about $1600-$1700 depending on which shocks you get. The Baer Brakes are basically road-course racing brakes and will run about $5000.
On the top of the front shock, the shock mount. The old ones had another bushing that fit inside, did you not need them? I just did this to my 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6(went with QA1, dual adjustables at every corner) n I had to purchase new shock mounts n that particular bushing I’m talking about.
Exactly. Something that looks as clean as that does assuming it hasn't been hit or the interior is ruined by smoke or pure neglect is easily 10-15k on the cheap end. Probably more. Especially if it's a 6 speed.
I notice you guys like to upload in bulk. That doesn't work well with the RUclips algorithm. Uploading all those videos spread out would really help your numbers imo
@@OfficialStaceyDavid LOVE that you brought them back! Been watching Stacey since I was a kid! Best wishes and thanks for the awesome content over the years!
Stacey is the Man, been watching him since I was a teenager back in the old Truck Days. Wish Stacey could have kept project LT-Extreme
It was a cool project. Minus the McDonald's yellow stripes.
Same here!!
Watching him 4 over a decade
Love it. I have a 2000 Trans am. Yes. What a HUGE difference in doing this upgrades
Good video. These are great cars. I love my 1999 TA.
Good to see Stacy still around! Didn’t even know this was a thing. He’s definitely got a sub from me!
Welcome back!
I can't tell you how many times I've seen Smokey and the Bandit (1 and 2)

@@martiniusetihw yes I did and I got a petris vented opti three years ago and have had no issues at all anymore.
Awesome!! was it expensive?? I have a 4th gen LS1 but I think I want an LT1 also.
@@martiniusetihw the opti with spark plugs and wires was about $500

Thats the only good way I have to get the car high enough to put it on jackstands...
Can you also use all the BMR stuff with the stock K member?
Yes
How did you remove the passenger side motor mount bolt and motor mount???

Why? It’s a car that’s gonna be driven. It’s not a show piece

what happened to the other show he was on?
One of the main reasons GM canceled the f-body in 2002 was the fact that it was not able to pass crash test safety requirements.

I personally prefer the 93-97 lt1 cars better deal and a slight bit of modern/old school
97s my favorite. old front end with new interior and tails.
The sooner you replace bad parts, the cheaper it will be (it's cheaper than an accident and a tow truck
It was sort of 50/50 of Canada's problem with production and GM wanting to pull the plug
A few thousand bucks...My ass!!!!!!
