8:50- “We are in a crisis, at a crossroads... really, ‘Climate’ is too narrow a framing for the choice that we face”... so key & interesting...

This is VERY cool information. I need to buy your new book already.. was
blown away by all the others dunno what im procrastinating about.
Buckminster Fuller would love this type of information. Wish he wasn't
so technocentric though.. maybe there is a middle ground I can't intuit.
People ought to realize that hyperadvanced technological marvels are not
something you have to wait for experts in labcoats to produce, we are
already inundated by a ubiquitous superadvanced sentient selfcorrecting
biotechnological apparatus called Earth. Human beings, climate and its
homeostasis, thrive not by disrupting its habitual flows 禮 but in our
own special way somehow contributing to it. Meaning, we could be the
means by which this planet achieves an even more 'eden' like state
through conscious, ground-level awareness and creativity that the
mineral, plant, and animal kingdoms could still not quite achieve. We
could be the caretakers, the gardenmakers. I think humans had to really
mess things up before they realized how to not just regain what we once
lost but even make it better than it was. It feels somehow akin to the
way we learn about the human brain via the anomalous diseases of
specific persons and the way it changes perception. You gotta kinda poke
and prod the thing and make it spark and whirr and then you realize
what is good and what is bad. A veritable explosio-blossom of life could
be our possible future inheritance if we do this right. This sort of
information is exactly the kind that should be getting people, who want
to turn this runaway train around, very excited.

Absolutely profound! And so so important!
Yet look how many views this gets and what kind of videos do 99.9999% of the people watch. Doesn't bode well.. Doesn't bode well at all! What are we missing about human nature and psyche that this message is so extremely unpopular, while the most degrading, selfish, demeaning and destructive messages (for the spirit and for all living things) are overwhelmingly popular?
Is this something inherent to the human psyche or is this the result of the way the vast majority of humans are conditioned? or a combination of the two?

Trauma. Most people are walking around with loads of trauma, which means disconnection from their bodies and certain emotions, and a narrowing of perception that follows from those disconnections.

NASA needs to literally gtfo the planet WITHOUT pooling all of our resources and draining the wishing well of every dream to exact their missions.

Is actually saying that humanity would not perish but that the Earth would? This is absolutely absurd. We would easily be wiped off the planet before the Earth would perish. The Earth will do what it needs to do to flourish and thrive. What he saying is that billions of years of nature's intelligence cannot surpass mankind's intellect. If this were true we would only need to pave a road once.

No, that is completely NOT what he is saying. I suggest listening again (if interested)
