Thank you, Charles, for always sharing in a way that rewards careful listening and describes our situation in a far more nuanced way than is currently fashionable. Thank you for taking time to examine and describe things thoroughly and with real attention. Thank you for your eloquence and honesty in expressing the real needs of the human heart.
Your book, The Ascent of Humanity, changed my worldview and changed the way I practice medicine. Along with my study of Vedanta and AA over the years, I am presenting at a conference next week on Spirituality in Medicine, and I am grateful for your work. Thank you!
Thank you Anna for your comment - the Ascent of Humanity was probably the most important book I've ever read too. I'm really interested in how you're integrating a vision like Charles' into your practice of medicine and would love to know more about the conference on spirituality and medicine you'll be attending, especially as one of my sister's is a practicing MD. With thanks and blessings to you on the beautiful path you're walking. xo
Emotional and spiritual intimacy -- lack of separation - is natural, abundant, in babies and dying people. It is the foundation of Waldorf education. ❤️
The interesting thing about the scientific belief system is that it actually negates our own experience of life. For example, when we look out onto the world we say "this is just a mess of protons and neutrons - a tree is composed of this, a rainbow appears because if this". But if you were to study the brain you'd see the exact same process as in nature, the same molecules and neurons firing, but with our brain we know that behind this process is meaning - thoughts, feelings, beliefs, experience. If we say that nature is "just what we see" then we negate meaning behind the physical observation, so we also negate any meaning behind our own brain activity and our experience of life.
This is so beautiful. Goosebumps all the way. What he says expresses what indeed resides deep down in all our hearts. His understanding of both nature and the human mind is phenomenal. Thank you for your blessed work, sir, in waking people up to the atrocious, monstrous story we're all living in, called ironically as the age of progress and reason.
Strong held belief systems are the deepest Samskara to reckon with. I feel as though I am going mad at times. Then I remember I'm not those thoughts. These messages and others are essential to grounding myself in the moment on the path.
I listened to a video by Terence McKenna prior to this one. I was struck by the similarly in the message. If you like have a look at " The Most Important Message That Terence McKenna Left for Humanity."
To touch her sky embracing her joy and tears. To swim in her sea without beginning or end. To sing and dance beneath her skirt made of stars. To hope and dream in the fragrance of her sleep. There never was a Fall, only the intention, an explicit claim. But with love, dignity and respect, nothing need ever be denied again.
In permaculture it's not a finite world, you get so much abundance, you're plants reproduce and you have to divide them or give them away or they get crowded. I counted on my one heirloom kale plant from one seed , it developed over 300 seeds.
Only a small % of the population are very old souls and can act based on love. The majority are driven by ego and greed. Once we accept this reality, we can raise overall consciousness by being kind and generous.
I like the points in this video a lot. They are revolutionary to me. But I feel like I don't agree with the point at the end, let's imagine that the whole system is perfectly designed (which is not possible in reality because no human has the ability to be perfect), all the necessary conditions are set, being good will right be easier but still I can not deny that there is two struggling forces inside me, which need a divine guidance to find the balance between good and bad, right and wrong. What do you think?
The Sentinelese people live a hunter gatherer lifestyle, they do not practice agriculture, a very few people have had brief non verbal contact with them. Nobody outside of their very small tribe knows or understands their language. Their island's ecosystem is intact and undamaged. They blatantly kill outsiders, they appear to have no qualms in doing so. Their worldview is unknown, but I suspect that their intuition/deep understanding of the whole is better than most civilised humans.

tonyrambler And thank you Tony for expressing your appreciation and understanding of what Charles gives us.
tonyrambler I completely agree!

This should be part of the curriculum in all schools from K-12.

We don't need a new belief or new story. We need the truth.
Charles gives us tools to help us find a direction, away from the old story we do not need

Our whole socio-economic system is broken.
Not broken, just very outdated.
Love it
