  • In this video, I discuss the importance of self-compassion in overcoming weed addiction. After struggling with weed addiction for decades and experiencing numerous negative consequences, I realized the need for a compassionate approach to recovery.
During my addiction, I experienced severe self-criticism and harsh internal dialogue, which only perpetuated the cycle of addiction. I often questioned myself and felt like a failure, unable to cope with life’s challenges. Growing up in an environment where weed use was prevalent, I felt isolated and lacked support, which further fueled my addiction.
The turning point in my recovery came when I embraced self-compassion instead of self-criticism. This shift allowed me to create space for self-understanding and softness. It was a profound change that helped me break free from the cycle of addiction. I recognized that constant self-criticism only deepened my struggles, while compassion provided the foundation for real change.
In reflecting on my journey, I realized that true recovery requires a combination of compassion, space, and a genuine decision to change. Additionally, a willingness to endure discomfort is essential, as weed addiction often conditions individuals to seek instant gratification. True freedom and recovery come from honest self-reflection and communication, which are difficult to achieve under constant self-criticism.
I aim to share this message to help others navigate their recovery journey. I understand the challenges of seeking support, especially in environments where weed use is normalized. My goal is to provide guidance and support to those who feel trapped in the cycle of addiction.

My favorite out of all the videos I've watched of yours. I'm very critical of myself in general and critical and ashamed of my weed addiction. Never thought about being compassionate to myself. What would be an example of how someone could be compassionate to themselves?

Love your vids man. This one especially. I relapse sometimes and beat myself up for it, there's no reason for that though. Just need to dust yourself off and get back on the horse. Every day I get a little closer.
