As a piper of twenty-four years, I want to say just how much I appreciate being able to HEAR the tenor drums! So often, they're drowned out by the pipes and side drums.
I laughed at the dancing bear comment as I could see yogi bear playing the part. However ,allowing for a tight musical performance in part due to the rocking out by the bear. Great tenor drumming. I love this piece.
I remember playing my home on tenor in a 6/8 competition and it felt like FOREVER because we played the whole thing. It’s hilarious to watch this pipe band play itchy fingers after.
effing amazing.. can only hope to be this good of a piper one day. you guys rock! how could you even think of halting your drones and then striking in at the very end.. i'm in awe. fantastic!
Overall a great job, Itchy Fingers and Clumsy Lover are hard enough tunes to play correctly for a solo-piper yet you guys played this as a band and it sounded good, tempo was excellent, I feel sometimes pipers try to play itchy fingers and clumsy lover to fast and the quality of the tunes suffer, I'd love to hear your band playing it again as I am sure you are probably nailing it by now, thanks, post again
Anyone interested in learning this set, I would recommend getting the bagpipe player from the scottish piper club website and also downloading the tunes. It takes some getting used to but the program is a nice asset in learning new tunes and in getting your timing down correctly.
Very nice set of tunes! Great tempo and the DM looks very professional. I think the mid-section did an awesome job of mixing rhythm and flourishing and overall the sound was nice. Can't wait to see you guys in Maxville (and the Montreal beer tent of course) next year.
who cares if bass drummer moves around so long as he keeps the timing of the band together and what the hell he's fookin enjoying himself....shouldnt it be fun????? itchy fingers is a real foot tapper and hes obviously is enjoying whats he doing..great rendition and tight close piping embelishments look good too well done faugh a ballagh...
to be fair dragging slightly due to the limitations of the band, your only as good as your weekest player, blowing a unsteady and you're sound very thin, could do with stronger blowers to give more depth ? "love the bass section"

I love hearing the tenors. All this 'they should be heard and not seen' stuff is nonsense.

After all these years I still love coming back and listening to the 'Dancing Bear' on the big drum😄
Shout out to the dancing bass drummer. We love you dancing drummer man
Being a pipe band base drummer, I can confirms IT’S HARD AS SHIT because of how heavy the drum is..
I like the flourishing of the tenor drummers. Looks really great 🙂
Very good set.

AWESOME!!!! I love it when pipers harmonize like that. It just sounds great!
My favorite part is when the bass drummer starts dancing, they used to do that at my school too 😂
I remember playing my home on tenor in a 6/8 competition and it felt like FOREVER because we played the whole thing. It’s hilarious to watch this pipe band play itchy fingers after.
Love this ❤

I like the dancing bear!!!!!!! That is what you need with a bunch of stiff ass pipers..
love Clumsy Lover!
awesome!
Because the 78th Frasers did it back in the 80s, and it's on one of their cds..haha the side drum movements in the pause were almost exactly the same
Great band!
Muy buena ! saludos al Batallon de St Paddy de un piper argentino!
Ahhh I love this. Does anyone know where I can get drum scores for clumsy lover??
That wis braw. Thanks for sharing
I like the split the feather to cartwheel in itchy fingers (tenors)
Clumsy Lover hat 6 Teile, leider spielen alle nur den ersten und den letzten Teil.
Enthusiastic and flash as it may seem, your bass drummer will be seeing a physiotherapist / chiropractor / surgeon if he carries on like that. 😂
Could anyone send me the sheet music for Clumsy Love
@stupidshitsucks But pipe bands are based on military bands so the whole show is the precision and perfectness of it all
Do they play the Clumsy Lover jig or the hornpipe? I think it's the hornpipe but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?
yes reelY good
I haven't read any other comments,

good playing, good tunes..! apart for the dancing bear in the middle..! does not look good messing around like that
It is a REEL!!!!!
actually not too bad. Some unison issues and the tempo could be up a little bit. I like the break in the end of Clumsy Lover.
Lol Yeah
was rGreat
You can see more of the Dancing Bear here: ruclips.net/video/uVVTVfKkSIc/видео.html
Banda del batallón de San Patricio!! buen set!!
the bass drummer might do well in a blood and thunder band
That's why you always look at your pipe major instead! lol
museo nacional de las intervenciones
Nice embellishments by the tenor and alto drummers throughout the piece...
Good song, clean playing. All good... except for that DANCING BEAR IN THE MIDDLE!!
I think it's too slow... Don't get me wrong, it's awesome. However in my oppinion, it should go just a wee bit faster.
Five stars nevertheless.
It is a hornpipe. Tempo is good
