      just sayin, he explained what he's doing with the ej205 already. he just wants to make it run in the bugeye first, to prove that it works.
      once it's been proven to operate fine, he can do the engine and awd swap into the rally miata and will know that any issues he experiences have nothing to do with the engine itself, making any problem finding/solving simpler and quicker.

    • @alexstromberg7696
      @alexstromberg7696 5 лет назад +1

      I really hope those "torque to stretch" bolt are good. Or if he just thinks that a good thing. Otherwise he should have just torqued to the specified Newton meter.

    • @THEpicND
      @THEpicND 5 лет назад +1

      Alex Strömberg torquing to spec just says the amount of applied force you put on a bolt, it doesn’t actually say anything on how he bolt is holding, what he measured was the strain on the bolt which is much more a measure of the “tightness” of a bolt

    • @alexstromberg7696
      @alexstromberg7696 5 лет назад

      @@THEpicND most engine bolts don't have a specified "stretch". Often they are first to a nm, like 60, then to angel, like 90 degrees. Not this shit. I work in a Volvo CE workshop for reference.

    • @THEpicND
      @THEpicND 5 лет назад

      Alex Strömberg what you do is the simplistic way thats good enough but measuring strain aka the bolt stretch is more accurate

    • @THEpicND
      @THEpicND 5 лет назад

      And the torque and angle technique is literally a simplistic method for bolt stretch
