Great ranking Darcy and wasn’t far off mine, funny to think that was my very first video! The 94 album is criminally underrated, it’s got some pounding tracks on it. GGG is a big one for me, not that strong but Wildside is probably my favourite track of all time hence the knuckle tattoos! Also one of the first albums that got me into metal. SATD is my favourite although TFFL is pretty close. Great video mate!
Not a huge fan of Crüe, but I do love Dr. Feelgood '89. Tracks like "Kickstart my Heart" "Same ole Situation" "Don't Go Away Mad" and the title track are rock classics. Probably one of the first cassettes I purchased myself back in 1989. Great video Darcy 🤘💀🤘
I saw them on Girls Girls Girls with Whitesnake too! With all of the shenanigans behind the scenes, it's amazing they could stand up, let alone play. And Dr. Feelgood tour. Do you remember who opened? I'm drawing a complete blank. Also saw them for that Greatest Hits package on a scaled down stage. Grunge was killing stuff back then. Wow, this is a tough list to rank. The first one, just because it was so ground breaking. But then the Shout at the Devil followup was too. Darcy, be sure to check out The Dirt movie. People forget, Mick is older than the rest of the band. Anxious to hear his solo album if it ever gets released. I can't afford the stadium tour either. I know it will never happen, but wouldn't it be cool to hear Vince sing those Corabi songs? Corabi-fronted Cure was supposed to come through our town back then at a crazy venue, but the whole thing collapsed with poor ticket sales. I never heard Corabi sing the regular Crue material either. Have to search RUclips. Okay, enough geezing... Great video!
I’m pretty sure Tesla opened on the Dr.Feelgood Tour or at least that leg of it ! The Dirt is a awesome movie , I probably watched it three times ! Yes Mick is around 10 years older then the rest of the guys & has had his share of health issues , but man can he play ! Cool to hear you seen them on the Girls Tour also ! Thanks for hanging out with me Jimmy 🤘 Have a great weekend :))
I seeeeeee MALICE in the background. Saw them during that tour. The stage was only about 3 feet high. Three of those leathered guys were tall too. Only about 70 of us there. They came on nearing midnight. Outrageous to the max ! I know that release as good as I do with Back in Black. Every nuance 😛🥁
I just picked up both Malice albums on cd , had them on cassette years ago ! License To Kill is great , but In The Beginning is unreal , more people need to know about this band ! What a cool story about the show you attend , I love hearing about stuff like that ! Thanks as always for stopping by 🤘 Cheers my friend :))
Thanks for posting. Never knew that story about the guy hitting the ring and getting lumped out. Sounds like he deserved it. I actually thought the Crue outsmarted Priest and Maiden. When Priest went Turbo and Maiden went Bottle in time or whatever its called, the Crue kept those simple riffs stayed totally relevant and gained more popularity while the other 2 crashed and burned. If Theatre would have been better they could have been enormous. Giving them an "A" for relevance during that decade.
Nice ranking my friend. For me is NO1 their selftitled album from 1994. BTW, i hope tour with Def Leppard will be some day in Europe. I would kill for seeing Def Leppard + Motley in live!!! ♥
Pretty good ranking that I would virtually match, I’ve not even heard the bottom batch but I’m totally fine with that lol. Nice box set but absolutely stupid putting the magnet on it mind you I’m not sure I’dve known it might be a problem 🤣. I wonder who the guy at the gig was. I’m sure he would’ve been very apologetic lol
The bottom 3 are definitely not essential ! That asshole cost us one song from the set list , the good thing is Mick was ok & they played the last 2 songs ! Cheers Captain 🤮 Lmao
Hey, Darcy!... New to your channel, I dig it.... Funny, whenever I'm in the mood for Crüe, I reach for Theater Of Pain... What a great album!... City Boy Blues is a terrific opener, along with a more than decent cover in Smokin'....This release tends to divide the fans, never could figure that out.... Take Care, Ghostrider Rick
Glad to meet you Rick 🤘 thanks for stopping by Planet6Strings ! I don’t understand the shit Theatre Of Pain gets either , I love that album ! Take care ~ Darcy
I've never gotten into MOTLEY CREW although I do really like about 10 to 20 songs from the first 5 albums. I was more into RATT and QUIET RIOT and KISS back in 1983. But I agree with you about the Song WILD SIDE it's definitely one of their greatest songs ever for me as well. When it comes on the radio I can't help but crank that one up because it really does rock. I think you nailed this rankings video Darcy because that's the same order I would have put those albums in myself. Take care brother 🤘
Great Ranking Darcy, couldn't agree more on your top 3, Girls is the last album I have of theirs, seen them 7-4-90 with Tesla opening for them( 1st & only time I've seen them)Those were the good old days!Enjoyed Man, Take Care and Stay Heavy Brother!
That’s crazy that they put a magnet in the cassette boxset, especially it being such a modern press too! I only have their first 5 albums & they’re the only ones I’ve heard! I might need to check out the one with Corabi on!! ‘GIrls’ was a huge album for me & my friends on our metal journey!! The video where they were on bikes going to the strip bar, at that moment I knew I had to be in a band, lol!! Good to see you Darcy!🤘🏻
Great lists Darcy, the Crue was one of the first rock bands I ever got into when I started listening to rock/metal in the mid 90s. I remember when The Dirt came out a few years ago, I revisited them for almost 2 months straight after not listening for a long. 1. Shout At The Devil 2. Too Fast For Love 3. Motley Crue (this album might have fared better has they changed the name, but I understand why they didn't) 4. Generation Swine (borderline blasphemy to have it this high, but it was the first Crue album I heard front to back) 5. Dr. Feelgood 6. Theatre Of Pain 7. Saints Of Los Angeles 8. New Tattoo 9. Girls, Girls Girls (I know you mentioned some deep cuts, but aside from the singles, I've never been able to get into this one) Cheers!!!
Shout is also my nr: 1! I got into Mötley Crue, when to fast was released! Liwe Wire is best track on that album! I first saw them on the Theatre of Pain tour back in the 80”, in Lund Sweden!
Great band. Shout at the devil is my favourite by far. Got into Motley Crue through their s/t album, when i picked it up in 94. Man, i haven't spinned this one in decades. Will revisit it over the weekend. Excellent video as always my dear friend 🤘 🍻. Enjoy your weekend. PS: i got a huge package from Stormspell records. Will pick it up tomorrow 🤘.
Hi Darcy i like the CRUE i saw them live here in my home town Adelaide Australia but MOTORHEAD opened up for them and they just blew the CRUE away , then everything went wrong for the CRUE the PA went to shit they had to stop the Show for about 40 mins the crowd got restless and when they finally came back on they sounded real bad so a bad night for them BUT Motorhead were so so good the loudest band ever anyway take care Darcy stay safe keep collecting and Stay HEAVY
Cool ranking video Darcy. My #1 is Too Fast For Love, #2 Shout and #3 Dr Feelgood I seen that Whitesnake Motley Crue tour as well, Whitesnake sounded much better than the Crue. I think Nikki was drunk as well. Seen them again on the Dr Feelgood tour with Faster Pussycat and they sounded great! I remember when Shout At The Devil came out, the song itself was pretty epic at the time. Took me awhile to warm up to them because I figured they were ripping off ideas from Kiss with the blood and flames on the Livewire video. After a few months I decided they do have their own thing going on. I also enjoy the sound on Too Fast For Love with just the bass behind the guitar solo, much more honest that way since they do only have one guitar player in the band. 10 Seconds Too Love smokes! Especially live when Vince sang it correctly
I don’t think there was a day on the Girls Tour that Vince , Tommy & Nikki weren’t high or hammered ! Could you imagine Vince Meal trying to sing 10 Seconds To Love these days 😂 blah blah blah ! Thanks as always for hanging out 🤘 Take care Jeff
Great ranking! My top 5 would be 1 Too Fast For Love 2 Shout At The Devil 3 Motley Crue 4 Girls, Girls, Girls 5 Theater Of Pain But I like all of them Great job on this one Metal Edge was my go to for information too 👍🤘🤘
Nice albums ranking Darcy, on point and fair. MY favourite albums are as follow: Too Fast For Love (1981), Shout At The Devil (1983), Dr. Feelgood (1989), Motley Crue (1994) & my favourite song is: Too Young To Fall in Love, killer guitar riff/intro at the beginning of the song. Take care Darcy, keep up the good Hard N Heavy job, A HAIL OF METAL TO YO... Dany The Netherlands
I seen Motley Crüe live here in Edmonton 5 times Crue fest tour Dead of winter tour Canadian tour and the final tour August 2008 January 2010 April 2013 November 2014 and December 2015 I woulda loved to see them live back then also and I hope they come back here for the stadium tour and They were all awesome shows🤘
Again a great ranking video Darcy. Cool you saw them live a couple of times, i was never Lucky enough but i love them, even GENERATION SWINE. Like it more now then back in 1997. My fave is Shout like yours. SAINTS OF LOS ANGELES is an other of my fave. Perfect soundtrack to the book THE DIRT.
Hi Darcy!! very solid list, i still need to listen to some of those records though.... i was deeply disappointed with their last studio album, too many outside writter imo.... Samantha Malone from the band Hole was the touring drummer and there's a huge difference between their 80's catalogue and their latest stuff, got the chance to see them live once, during their "farewell tour", it was an ok show. cheers and be well
Very cool to see a Motley Crue Ranking on Planet6Strings, Darcy! I came aboard with Motley Crue when Shout at the Devil was released, just loved that album and the image and everything about them at that time. They sure took a lot of twists and turns over the years, but have loved a lot of their stuff. I too like Theater of Pain a lot more than most fans tend to (Keep Your Eyes on the Money being a favorite, and Louder Than Hell, and Tonight... people need to revisit those and not think about the image so much), absolutely LOVED the 94 release, even if it was very different. I figured we would share the same feelings on Generation Swine, hahahaha! Not the greatest for sure! But those first three releases made for a great, great run (and it sustained pretty well up through Dr. Feelgood). As far as live, I saw them on the Dr. Feelgood tour and also on The End tour, both great shows.(on the John Corabi side of things, if you haven't checked it out yet, get the solo release he had not too long ago where he played the entire 94 album. It is a good live album and the performances are really good!, I believe it is on RatPak records) Fantastic episode, Darcy and thanks for the ranking! Good times!
I had a feeling you might be a Theatre Of Pain fan , I’ve always loved that album ! Yes I need to pickup that John Corabi live album , I think it’s called One Night In Nashville , thanks for the reminder ! Thanks as always my friend 🤘 Always let the good times roll :))
Awesome rankings & I completely agree with ya on TOP! Very underrated imo and I love it, I don’t gaff what anyone says about it either. Save our Souls & this album are both hidden gems imo.🤘🏼
My ranking : 1. Shout At THe Devil 2. Too Fast For Love 3. Theater of Pain 4. Motley Crue 5 . Dr Feelgood 6. Girls Girls Girls The others albums for me is not Motley is ka ka …. I hope they do a final album but heavy sound like the 80s sorry maybe I’m dreaming 😴 … great ranking bro take care 🤘
Great video,Motley is my all time favorite band…Happy to see Theatre of Pain so high on your list(underrated gem)…Also,Danger has got to be my favorite song of all time🤘🤘🤘
I listened to the Corabi album for the first time yesterday after watching Mr Boulder’s ranking video and was blown away. It is so good and heavy! Corabi kicks Vince’s ass! Now my number one followed by Shout and Too Fast. After that it’s just meh for me. Enjoyed your list Darcy. Horns up!
Great video and ranking Darcy! Loved hearing the concert stories. Don't Go Away Mad is a song I love too. Saw them on the Dr. Feelgood tour when I was 13 and then several times since. Wish I got to see them in their prime like you did. Those RSD cassettes bring back a lot of nostalgia. The only Crue cassette I kept was Decade of Decadence. Happy I hung on to it, would love to see it reissued on vinyl though. - Joel
Cool video Darcy. My top 6 would be exactly the same. Got to see them live many times as well, I usually enjoyed the shows. You could always count on motley playing the classic old songs with an interesting stage / upside down drumming. I remember seeing that cassette box set on record store day. I was in the store trying to decide if I should grab one but ultimately passed on it. Cheers 🍻
Well...Motley Crue with Vince-Shout At The Devil is their best album in my opinion. Dark,energetic,angry-brilliant. But I must admit I LOVE their "Motley Crue" album with Corabi on vocals.Damn heavy stuff! And Corabi- this guy can sing!!
Great ranking Darcy. I only know the classic 5. Never dived into the other stuff. And like you, hands down, shout at the devil is my favorite. I have the record Japan press and cd. . Probably would put theater of pain at 2. But not sure. Some great stories attached to this band also! Thanks for the ranking brother. Stay Crue!!🤟🤟
Never been a fan of them but as with many of the great bands I am starting to listen more as I progress through my own collection of metal and listening to the videos of the community. Nice video Darcy, now I atleast know where to start if I am buying something 🤘🏼
Great video man, love the stories as always. My list is about the same just swap 1 and 2. For me you just can't beat the first album, it puts you in a special fist pumping mood from start to finish.
Great list, mine is almost identical. I can look at Theater of Pain objectively and rank it way lower, even though I was really into it back in the day. I would rank their self titled album way higher, it completely smokes! I first saw them live for Shout at the Devil when they toured Europe opening up for Iron Maiden on the Powerslave tour.
Great ranking some days Dr Feelgood is my fave others it's Shout. It's funny because "back in the day" I didn't give Motley Crue a chance AT ALL because I thought hair metal was "lame" but after a certain point that thankfully went out the window. I think I outgrew that mentality by I dunno either the very late 90s or early 2000s.
Love Motley Crue! Obviously I love the first 5 albums the best but Saints is a very good album and the Corabi album is way underrated record! Shout is in my top 5 Favorite albums of all time! Nice ranking Darcy!!🤘
Dr. Feelgood is my favorite album from Motley Crue. The guitar sound so great. Great job from Bob Rock. Generation Swine and Self-Titled sound so weird for me, influenced by Grunge era. We saw how record label drive the band, change their music oriented. I also like New Tattoo. Your cassette still shiny, like new. Thanks for the video.
Totally agree about Theatre of Pain. I think it’s an underrated album. Use it or Lose it and Louder than Hell are my favorites off that one. I always kind of thought Dr Feelgood was a little overrated. Production was great but some of the songs were kind of cheesy. 🤘🏼🧔🏻✝️
There is five songs I like. Seen them two times in 1987 with Whitesnake. Songs: Live Wire, Piece Of Your Action, Take Me To The Top, Home Sweet Home, Without You. ***edit*** I found a website called, concert archives. It’s free. I have posted my concerts there as postmortem. 🤘
Cool ranking. My ranking is best to worst Too fast for love, shout at the Devil, Motley Crüe, theatre of pain, Dr Feelgood, girls, new tattoo, saints of la, and generation swine.
I discovered them in 1991 at age 12. There have been times in the past when I wondered what my life would have been like had I been 16 in 1983 and that's why I had to get SATD on vinyl. I look forward to getting all of them in vinyl. GS is also my least favorite as well.
I did not know they did a song called "Bad Boy Boogie". Instantly checked to see if You Tube had it. But, it wasn't a version of the 10/10 AC/DC song, which I was hoping it would be. The Crue song was good, but I'd put the AC/DC one a good notch or two above it. Sounded odd hearing Crue headlined over Whitesnake, but Crue was pretty popular, so...Interesting video clip of the show you were at. That would have made it unforgettable.
Pretty much agree with you here Darcy. Although I'd move theatre to no.6 and bump the rest up a place. The bottom 3 are pretty forgettable in not dreadful in some cases. I took a look at that footage, don't know what the guy was thinking. Although it looks like something Blackmore rules would have on one of his videos of Darcy gets carried away at a gig. 🤘🤘
From one Cruehead to another, Great video! Much of our history with their releases and shows is the same. I've seen the Crue live 37 times with the first concert of my 48 years on this planet boom was The Shout tour in Colorado Springs in 1984 with Ozzy, I was only 9 years old. My uncle took me and it changed me! I've now seen them play in 12 different states, and 17 different cities, in front of crowds as big as 100,000+ and as small as 800. Thanks again for the video, Long Live The Crue. #9- Generation Swine / Best Track: 'Find Myself' #8- New Tattoo / 'Hell on High Heels' #7- S.O.L.A. / 'MF of the Year' #6- Girls Girls Girls / 'Wild Side' #5- Dr. Feelgood / 'Don't Go Away Mad...' #4- Theatre of Pain(Entertainment or Death) / 'Save our Souls' #3- Shout at the Devil / 'Knock 'em Dead Kid' #2- Motley Crue / 'Power to the Music' #1- Too Fast for Love / 'On With The Show'
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Yeah, I've often wondered what kind of music we might have if Crabs had been the lead singer, co-songwriter, and second guitarist through the decade of decadence and beyond. What really has me going is if the Alpha and Omega lineup was: 1.Lead Singer/Acoustic Guitars/Harmonica -John "Crabs" Corabi 2.Rhythm Guitars/Slide and Steel Guitars -Mick Mars 3.Lead Guitars -John 5 4.Drums/Percussion/Piano -Tommy "T-Bone" Lee 5.Bass Guitars/Synthesizer -Nikki Sixx Music -The Crue Lyrics -The Crue
Seen these guys back in '91' at the Donington Monsters of Rock festival in England, I recall they put on a great show, didn't pay too much attention to their albums in the following years, will check them out after watching this, cheers from Eire!
Absolutely Right - The 1994 effort is indeed excellent. Love that so much. Everything is great on it! They should released that one not under the banner Motley. But a lot of other bands did that mistake too, right?
Yeah, that magnet thing was really stupid. What were they thinking? The self-titled one is my favorite MC album because it's so heavy. 'Theatre...' is somewhat meh to me, but I agree that Mick Mars does a great job on the album. Cool video.
My first Crue show was the Theater of Pain tour. Absolutely ridiculously good show. I would say I'm mostly with you on your ranking. I'm a big fan of that album. I could at some point name it, Girls or Shout my favorite depending on my mood.
Hey Kevin 👋 I would of loved to see them on the Theatre Of Pain Tour , Tommy’s drum kit going 90° , never seen nothing like it back then ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Good ranking. I like all their albums up to the self titled album. I don't own anything after that. I agree with you that Theater of Pain gets to much hate. Because it was the first crue album I heard Dr. Feelgood would be my #1.
1. Too Fast For Love 2. Shout At the Devil 3. Girls Girls Girls 4. Dr. Feelgood 5. Saints of Los Angeles 6. Theater of Pain 7. Motley Crue 8. New Tattoo 9. Generation Swine
Decent ranking I agree with your top 2 my 3rd would have been Dr Feelgood. I got to see them on the shout at the devil tour. The opened for ozzy he was on his bark at the moon tour. I also saw the Dr Feelgood tour. I also agree with you I wouldn't bother with the new tour either. Way to expensive. Cheers 🍻
Shout at the Devil and Too Fast for Love will always be the two best for me. Things started getting rather cheesy after these, but there were some cool tracks here and there on the other 80's albums and I thought the John Corabi album was pretty bad ass. 1. Shout at the Devil 2. Too Fast for Love 3. Motley Crue 4. Girls, Girls, Girls 5. Theatre of Pain 6. Dr. Feelgood 7. Saints of LA 8. New Tattoo 9. Generation Swine
Thanks very much Jamie ! Lol yeah it didn’t take much to convince myself that I needed that set , those cassettes scream 80s to me lol . Thanks for stopping by 🤘 Stay Safe
Awesome ranking!! 🤘🏻 The same albums would be in my top 5, but I’m not sure in what order. Such a stupid decision to put a magnet on a cassette box set 😂 The magnet only affected my Too Fast for Love tape. I keep mine out of the box!
Thank you very much ! Lol yeah the magnet idea was ridiculous , I see they used velcro on the new Ace cassette box set , much better ! Yes mine are on display outside of the box too ! Thanks for commenting & watching , I’ll be over to sub your channel right away ! Cheers from Canada 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty :))
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Yes the velcro is a better idea! Thank you, I appreciate it!! I’ve been watching your videos ever since you did a video on that Iron Maiden Number of the Beast cd box set. I just recently started this channel. Cheers! 🤘🏻
It’s a great album , there’s no denying that ! Some of the best songwriting they ever did ! Thanks for taking a trip on the Wild Side 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Shout at the devil was insane looks that kill video was as good as i wanna be somebody by wasp lol ,had to wait till 91 before they came to aust ,saw them both nights and still one of my favorite concerts to this day 👍🤘🤘👍
Cool ranking Darcy, 94 album is way to low lol…just kidding, my bottom 3 would be exactly the same as yours, always nice to see how others view band discographies, Cheers from Corabicrue aka Frankie
No your not kidding & rightfully so , the ‘94 self titled album is awesome , I was a bit out of touch with music in the mid to late 90s & didn’t spend enough time with that album back then ! Have a great weekend brother 🍻Cheers to the blue mountains 😉
Have to say I listened to every album and I would say your order from bottom to the top was spot on. Swine album not even sure what the hell that was. Will you being doing W.A.S.P. soon? Really liked them.
Yes I’ll be doing a W.A.S.P. album ranking this year for sure , I’m going to get my Top 20 Albums Of 2021 done first & then start planning some more videos ! It’s hard to stay on track around Christmas , in more ways than one 😂 Thanks for all the great comments 🤘 Tty soon :))
The first 2 albums were the best. I was fortunate to see them on those tours. After that their albums got progressively worse. They should really call it a day. Theater was pretty good, saw that tour as well.
To fast is the best new Exodus tommarow metal rules I'm glad when the reissued to fast they put the lost tracks on it like toast of the town. Seen them twice shout tour and girls tour. The girl drummer from crue was from hole. Seen the same tour as you with white snake. Dude have you ever heard the Nikki sixx. Double I believe it at that time they were top of the world to much money to loose their was so many Nikki look alike in the 80s. On with the show brother
If Live Wire and Piece of Your Action were included on Shout At the Devil it would be all the Motley Crue anyone needs. Theater of Pain had a few Metal songs. Only 1 Metal song on both Girls Girls Girls, Wildside and Kickstart My Heart. Live Wire and Danger are Heavier than anything on their Grunge album
9 Generation Swine 8 Saint of Los Angelos 7 Motley Crue 6 New Tatoo 5 Too fast for love 4 Theatre of Pain 3 Girls Girls Girls 2 Shout at the devil 1 Dr Feelgood Top 25 songs 1 Without You 2 Looks that kill 3 Home sweet home 4 Time for a change 5 Shout 6 Dont go away mad just go away 7 your all i need 8 Dr Feelgood 9 Wild Side 10 Red Hot 11 Starry Eyes 12 Piece of your Action 13 10 Seconds to love 14 Smokin in the boys room 15 Girls Girls Girls 16 Live Wire 17 Too young to fall in love 18 New Tatoo 19 Save ourt souls 20 All in the name of 21 Kickstart my heart 22 Angela 23 City boy blues 24 Helter Skelter 25 Same old Situration
Here's my ranking of the albums: Crap: Generation Swine Good: New Tattoo Excellent: Too Fast For Love, Theatre Of Pain, Self-titled, Saints For Los Angeles Best: Shout At The Devil, Girls Girls Girls, Dr. Feelgood
Ok. I got to New Tattoo. Way better effort here. Some of the songs have some good riffs and hooks like the first two albums. Not on that level but kinda got into it. Thanks again for posting.
1. SaTD, 2. TFFL, 3. ToP. That's all I need. To be honest I also own GGG but it's crap and ToP only made my list because I've had it since day 1 and know it like the back of my hand. SaTD is one of my favourite all time albums. How are your ribs feeling now? 😜
🤣 Ribs are good ! I would of went for Vince anyway , who in there right mind would want to knock over poor Mick ! I get you on Girls Girls Girls , nostalgia & Wild Side carries it a long way for me ! Cheers Andy 🍻🤘 Have a great weekend :))
Those first two albums are epic . I do like quite a few songs off the mid to late 80’s albums but much of it sounded to too commercial and poppy to me . The first two raw and heavy ! Can say the same for Def Leppard not even into Hysteria that much but for a couple songs though I do admire Steve Clark he was an amazing player .
Sorry but I can nevet love a motley album without Vince. 9- Generation Swine 8-Motley Crue 7- Saints of Los Angeles 6- New Tattoo 5-Dr. Feel-good 4- Girls, Girls, Girls 3-1 Are all tied as I have difficulty picking one over the others. I descovered them forty years ago. I saw them play with Mahoney here in Phoenix Az. Will always love them!
I think the band members themselves have crapped on Theatre Of Pain (and Girls x3) even more than the fans. It was the first Crue record I bought in '86 and I'm still persistently hating it myself. Never been a nostalgic type I guess.
One other reason we brought the van that I didn’t tell you about , back then you could not buy canned beer in Saskatchewan , so the concert was in Edmonton Alberta so of course we loaded the back of the van with twenty 24 packs for our trip back to Saskatchewan , needless to say some of those cans didn’t make it home 😂
Funny, i never liked Slayer as Crue kid! I would eventually love Metallica but at first I was like what's this thrash/speed metal shit, why are they playing so fast.lol 🤘🤘
Awesome list ! I’ve asked for the Skid Row vinyl box set for Christmas ! Love your #1 , first 4 albums will always be my favourite ! Thanks for watching & thanks taking the time to show me your list 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
I always thought Dr. Feelgood was overrated. Some of the lyrics are very cheesy, even for Motley Crue! I agree, Shout at the Devil is their best. Bastard is great song! It's too bad that Motley didn't continue the darker tone of Shout on later albums. I wonder if they deliberately softened their sound on Theater of Pain to get more popular. Their first two albums seem the be the only ones without any filler.
I only like three albums. Too fast for Love, Shout at the Devil and Dr. Feelgood. I never knew what the big deal is with these guys. But hey, to each his own.
My ranking for the Motley Crüe albums would be 9. Generation Swine 8. New Tattoo 7. Theatre Of Pain 6. Saints Of Los Angeles 5. Girls Girls Girls 4. Motley Crüe 3. Dr Feelgood 2. Too Fast For Love 1. Shout At The Devil
My ranking changed to 1 shout at devil 2 motley crue 3 too fast for love 4 girls girls girls 5 dr feelgood 6 saints of los angels 7 theatre of pain 8 new tattoo 9 genration swine
So I've been listening in order of release finally got to Generation Swine honestly I never even knew this album existed just an absolute embarrassment to their legacy. Just nasty. To go from something like Feelgood to this just a joke honestly. Thanks again for posting.
Motley was awesome for the first 2 albums then they were hit or miss. You could really take the best songs from the rest and make up 2 full cds... Lol.... Cheers. Samantha was from Hole I believe...
1/ Shout at the devil (my favorite) 2/ Too fast for love (good album) Saw them for Theatre of Pain tour.Running Wild as opener was much better than Motley Crue (I'm a big Running Wild fan).
1 too fast for love 2 shout at the devil 3 dr feelgood 4 girls girls girls 5 motley crue 6 saints of Los Angeles 7 theatre of pain 8 new tattoo 9 geanration swine

I keep hearing you mention this Bob Rock guy I never realized how massive this guy is to the industry. The amount of work he's done is mindboggling.

I always say QUIET RIOT opend the door for me into Heavy Metal, but MOTLEY CRUE blew the hinges off!! 🤘🤘
1. Shout At The Devil
2. Too Fast For Love
3. Motley Crue (this album might have fared better has they changed the name, but I understand why they didn't)
4. Generation Swine (borderline blasphemy to have it this high, but it was the first Crue album I heard front to back)
5. Dr. Feelgood
6. Theatre Of Pain
7. Saints Of Los Angeles
8. New Tattoo
9. Girls, Girls Girls (I know you mentioned some deep cuts, but aside from the singles, I've never been able to get into this one)
Cheers!!!
Thanks as always my friend ! I’ll definitely be checking out your Instagram to see your haul ! Have a Metal weekend 🤘🍻
My #1 is Too Fast For Love, #2 Shout and #3 Dr Feelgood
I seen that Whitesnake Motley Crue tour as well, Whitesnake sounded much better than the Crue.
My top 5 would be
1 Too Fast For Love
2 Shout At The Devil
3 Motley Crue
4 Girls, Girls, Girls
5 Theater Of Pain
But I like all of them
Great job on this one
Metal Edge was my go to for information too
👍🤘🤘
Dude ! I had stacks of Metal Edge , Circus & Hit Parader , pisses me off that I got rid of them ! Thanks for sharing your ranking 🤘 Cheers Aaron 🍻
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 i had boxes! Also RIP and Kerrang cheers Darcy👍🤘🤘
Did you know NIKKI SIXX was going to call himself NIKKI NINE but thought it sounded too punk! 🤘🤘
No I did not know that , still learning after all these years lol . Thanks for that cool info & thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
My ranking :
1. Shout At THe Devil
2. Too Fast For Love
3. Theater of Pain
4. Motley Crue
5 . Dr Feelgood
6. Girls Girls Girls
The others albums for me is not Motley is ka ka …. I hope they do a final album but heavy sound like the 80s sorry maybe I’m dreaming 😴 … great ranking bro take care 🤘
Fantastic ranking, as always, Darcy! From the post-80's era i dig SOLA a lot. Stay Heavy!
Some of the lower ones on the list I disagree with but your numbers 1 and 2 are dead on. 🤘🏼
Great ranking video Darcy. I too was lucky to see them in their prime. The Dr Feelgood tour was the show I seen.
Great ranking video! Too fast… is one of my favorite debuts ever and the Corabi album is a masterpiece, according to me. 👍🏼
From one Cruehead to another,
Great video!
#9- Generation Swine / Best Track: 'Find Myself'
#8- New Tattoo / 'Hell on High Heels'
#7- S.O.L.A. / 'MF of the Year'
#6- Girls Girls Girls / 'Wild Side'
#5- Dr. Feelgood / 'Don't Go Away Mad...'
#4- Theatre of Pain(Entertainment or Death) / 'Save our Souls'
#3- Shout at the Devil / 'Knock 'em Dead Kid'
#2- Motley Crue / 'Power to the Music'
#1- Too Fast for Love / 'On With The Show'
Thanks for sharing your ranking & the thanks for the great comment! Love seeing the ‘94 album high on your list 🤘
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Yeah, I've often wondered what kind of music we might have if Crabs had been the lead singer, co-songwriter, and second guitarist through the decade of decadence and beyond. What really has me going is if the Alpha and Omega lineup was:
1.Lead Singer/Acoustic Guitars/Harmonica -John "Crabs" Corabi
2.Rhythm Guitars/Slide and Steel Guitars -Mick Mars
3.Lead Guitars -John 5
4.Drums/Percussion/Piano
-Tommy "T-Bone" Lee
5.Bass Guitars/Synthesizer
-Nikki Sixx
Music -The Crue
Lyrics -The Crue
1. Too Fast For Love
2. Shout At the Devil
3. Girls Girls Girls
4. Dr. Feelgood
5. Saints of Los Angeles
6. Theater of Pain
7. Motley Crue
8. New Tattoo
Cheers 🍻
I agree on Theatre of Pain. Great album. Was the first tour I saw them on. It's in my top three as well🤘🤘
Great ranking amigo , my favorite is Dr feelgood, cheers
Thanks brother ! Good choice for your #1 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Shout at the Devil and Too Fast for Love will always be the two best for me. Things started getting rather cheesy after these, but there were some cool tracks here and there on the other 80's albums and I thought the John Corabi album was pretty bad ass.
1. Shout at the Devil
2. Too Fast for Love
3. Motley Crue
4. Girls, Girls, Girls
5. Theatre of Pain
6. Dr. Feelgood
7. Saints of LA
8. New Tattoo
9. Generation Swine
Great ranking Darcy! Love that set of cassettes, really cool.
Thanks very much Jamie ! Lol yeah it didn’t take much to convince myself that I needed that set , those cassettes scream 80s to me lol . Thanks for stopping by 🤘 Stay Safe
Got introduced to Motley Crüe from GTA. Wildside is one of my favourites as well!
So many great songs on video games , especially the metal and hard rock 🤘 Cheers Bigfry
Cheers! 🤘🏻
love seeing the self titled motley album getting some love🤘
It’s a great album , there’s no denying that ! Some of the best songwriting they ever did ! Thanks for taking a trip on the Wild Side 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
I remember reading interviews in u.s. hitparader magazine and watching the pictures in the 80ies great
Shout at the devil was insane looks that kill video was as good as i wanna be somebody by wasp lol ,had to wait till 91 before they came to aust ,saw them both nights and still one of my favorite concerts to this day 👍🤘🤘👍
Cool ranking Darcy, 94 album is way to low lol…just kidding, my bottom 3 would be exactly the same as yours, always nice to see how others view band discographies,
Cheers from Corabicrue aka Frankie
No your not kidding & rightfully so , the ‘94 self titled album is awesome , I was a bit out of touch with music in the mid to late 90s & didn’t spend enough time with that album back then ! Have a great weekend brother 🍻Cheers to the blue mountains 😉
Pretty spot on.
The only real difference for me would is I would swap Too Fast For Love with Dr Feelgood, I think it’s better
Too Fast is a great choice , awesome album ! That’s cool you saw the same tour as I did ! YES !! Exodus ! Let the beating continue 🤘
I played the hell out of Shout At The Devil , probably arguably one of the greatest albums ever 🤘🏼
That was a good Motley Crue ranking, Darcy!
Thanks Tony 🤘 I really appreciate that !
🤘 Malice 🤘 You only need the first 2 Crue albums. Maybe Girls,Girls,Girls as well.

Best: Shout At The Devil, Girls Girls Girls, Dr. Feelgood
Ok. I got to New Tattoo. Way better effort here. Some of the songs have some good riffs and hooks like the first two albums. Not on that level but kinda got into it. Thanks again for posting.
If I’m not mistaken, you had that cassette deck on your Christmas list last year as well.
Your probably right , I hope the family comes through this year ! I’ll let you know in a little over 5 weeks from now lol . Cheers Charles 🎅
1. SaTD, 2. TFFL, 3.
Totally agree with you on Steve Clark , it was all downhill for Def Leppard after he passed away ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers Sean
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Thanks man cheers to you as well Darcy 🤘

Thanks brother 🤘
Sorry but I can nevet love a motley album without Vince. 9- Generation Swine
8-Motley Crue
7- Saints of Los Angeles
6- New Tattoo
5-Dr. Feel-good
4- Girls, Girls, Girls
3-1 Are all tied as I have difficulty picking one over the others.
I'd love to go on a road trip in a '78 Chevy van. Cool memory.
Never liked Motley Crew as a Slayer kid, not keen on Dr. Feelgood only album I own by them. Sorry. Maybe one day I'll check them out a bit more??? 🤘🏻
No need to be sorry , we can’t like it all ! I have some Running Wild on now & I’m craving a spiced rum , no idea why 😉 Take care ~ Darcy
Funny, i never liked Slayer as Crue kid! I would eventually love Metallica but at first I was like what's this thrash/speed metal shit, why are they playing so fast.lol 🤘🤘
Motley 94 kicks ass. I like the albums before it too

Love Mötley Crue love all thire albums =)
1. Too Fast for Love
2. Shout at the Devil
3. Theatre of Pain
that's all I own...
Well get ready for a re-issue campaign in 2022 , Mötley Crüe just sold their entire catalogue to BMG ! Vinyl box and here we come 🤣

So I've been listening in order of release finally got to Generation Swine honestly I never even knew this album existed just an absolute embarrassment to their legacy. Just nasty. To go from something like Feelgood to this just a joke honestly. Thanks again for posting.
I couldn’t sit through Generation Swine even if you paid me $100 , $500 I might do it 🤣 Thanks for watching & commenting 🤘 Your very welcome :))
Motley was awesome for the first 2 albums then they were hit or miss. You could really take the best songs from the rest and make up 2 full cds... Lol.... Cheers. Samantha was from Hole I believe...
1/ Shout at the devil (my favorite)
2/ Too fast for love (good album)
Saw them for Theatre of Pain tour.Running Wild as opener was much better than Motley Crue (I'm a big Running Wild fan).
I got into Running Wild late but I love them now 🤘
I would pretty much match your list, but I would lift ’94 album as high as number three.
my motley crue album ranked:
1 - shout at the devil
