I have hair exactly like you.. My hair has been looking kind of crappy and this video was exactly the motivation I needed to put in a little more effort and made my curls look better...and it worked...I raked and shaked and I'm on day two of liking my hair again. Thanks for the motivation!
Quick question: how does the hairspray affect your curl refresh the next day? I have to grow out my long-pixie -- I tried rake and shake and there just isn't enough there, lol! On the plus side, drying my thick coarse hair takes A LOT less time right now.
I don't know if has anything to do with they one I use which is Tresemme but I never have a problem. I think bc that hairspray isn't sticky at all and I can still run my fingers in my hair. I can't live without my hairspray when I set my hair! LOL. If it's too short to rake and shake, after applying the product (enough of it!) put your fingers against your scalp, at the root and shake your fingers. That should help create the curls too!

I'm sorry. My hair at one point in my life was the most depressing thing. All I wanted was normal hair like the other girls. I finally accepted it and see the good side. Keep trying different methods you will get there. If your hair isn't like mine you might benefit from a different technique. There are a lot of great curly haired youtubers with different types of curls! You'll get there!!
I tried her diffusing method which tbh is a bit different that alot of other curlys. Try it, youll know it it works for you or not, I personally loved it and finally can get a good result!

I would like to see your hair air dried. I never use a dryer on my hair. It makes it to frizzy.

Yes my hair and air drying doesn't work for me. I've tried it several times over the years.
