It has been over 15 years since I last visited Brittos. A lot has changed in and around this 57-year-eatery since. North Goa, Baga has become perhaps the busiest part of Goa, its streets chock a block with people and the resulting din and bustle all times of day or night. And it was only inevitable that some of this would find its way into Brittos too, I discovered when I visited here early one evening. Whilst a lot has changed, what hasn’t changed is this beach restaurant’s ability to attract travellers for its chilled out vibe. As for the food, it is the sort that complements the atmosphere here. Brittos is a brand and uses the popularity to charge heavily on all dishes in comparison to anyone in North goa barring calamari from candolim to Baga stretch of beachside eateries. Taste also has relatively gone down if one compares their previous offering on many dishes- possibly toned down to suit international clients.
They are now acquired by people from Gurgoan.. controversial..
Being a Goan i truly agree, the shacks n restaurant which hv popularity do charge heavily...

@@preeti343ify It is Baga- if you want goan Catholic food experience with a sea view, then try Suza lobo located exactly on calangute beach. It is 15/20mnts walk from Baga- you can walk across the beach from Baga side
Souza Lobo is better any day, according to me …😋😋😋a Calangute legend for over half a century
Exactly..Brittos is just a cool looking restaurant with horrible food, Shuja lobo is the one to go for.
Perfectly said bout brittos.I get the same feeling wen I visit Gokarna, om beach or paradise beach, used to be a beautiful place. But with the advent of social media now, there are not many places that can be kept a secret😀

Britto isn’t what it used to be . The food and the ambience has changed, so has the crowd. Infact that entire stretch of north Goa starting from candolim to Baga has changed. 15 years ago it was the place to be . Not anymore..
Yes that's why I love South Goa. It's beautiful, calm and less crowded. In North Goa Candolim still is a great place and better than Calangute and Baga. Anjuna is also better.
Chicken Cafreal at Florentine's, Saligao is the best.
Ahh! Looking at Brittos after a decade and except for one space, near the entrance with those slightly high, slightly unorganised tables, everything has changed.. Baga and Brittos is an emotion!
No matter how bad the food, location is Kripal always find something positive or has something good to say. Need to learn from him.

If you are still in goa try and consider giving CURLIES a try. It's in Anjuna beach, you will definitely like the food and the entire setup, and the beach is less crowded as well compared to the others

Brittos have now aligned their menu preparation to taste buds for People coming from all over India perticular North India and foreign tourists worldwide and this is happening more and more to eateries in North Goa .
North Indians should fry their Fish Pakodas in Amritsar 😂 and leave coastal cuisine alone

Will try out Britto’s on our next visit ..My personal favourite is Souza Lobo .. awesome food especially the seafood dishes, lovely ambiance,.. even the pocket pinch is moderate considering it’s right on the Calangute beach …sort of an iconic eatery in that part of Goa . Honestly didn’t like the crowded Calangute beach but can go back only for the food at Souza Lobo’s . It’s that good !

Good morning dear Kripal 🙏 Sorry for being off the grid as my family is down with viral infection. Recovering and hope to get better soon . Thoroughly enjoyed this Britto’s Vlog . In fact I reminisced having wonderful memories of dining in this place with family and friends . It’s in Britto’s that my daughter tried fish for the first time 😀 This place has been evolving and expanding with the passage of every year . However it still retains the vibe . To be candid I always make it a point to visit Britto’s just to immerse into the Goa vibe . There are other places like Souza Lobo where I used to visit for the quality of dishes . Anyways loved your outlook , the positive vibe and was pleasing to the eyes . Yes, Britto's though rather crowded does merit an occasional visit to relive old memories, nice to know that is where your daughter first tried fish, notwithstanding the packed beach these days.
