Dude also has, like, 3 Haunted Mementos. He's rich even by today's standards, so many expensive items that are impossible to get nowadays, there are definitely people out there that would pay an arm and a leg for this stuff.

Yea, the heavy gold inflation started with mop. I remember rarely having more than 10k gold in Cata. But with MoP it became normal to have 100k+.

Great idea man. You hit the nail on the head with the time capsule analogy. Every time I get on my hunter that I raided hard on in WoTLK and haven't touched since, it's like an instant time portal back to those childhood feelings for a fleeting moment, very fleeting, but I swear for a few beautiful seconds, I can feel that old spirit I used to have.

I stopped playing mid wotlk, and came back a year agor, during the 1st lockdown. This video reminded me of returning to the game so much! It all seemed so strange and feels familiar again!

I just started playing again after last logon 2014, 8 years ago. I hadn't pvp'd in years so went into a couple random battlegrounds just to get a feel and got smoked lol. I use to hit tops in kills frequently back in the day. Spent all my time in the graveyard or trying to figure out the map, lmao. Have to learn to play again so started over with a new Rogue to go through all the aches and pains of leveling and re-learning to play. Found this site. Will be watching more videos.

So i just did this the other day - felt so good & nostalgic! I am wanting to get back into the game, can't decide what the best route would be. Should i do a gear upgrade? I've heard mixed things about that. I had 2 mains, 2 alts, 3 twinks - do i upgrade all? is it worth transferring? 3 of those characters I had geared to the brim so I am wanting to retrieve, unless you feel its worthless at this point. Subbed too! feels so good to be somewhat back into the world
Great video. I have played wow since day 1 and still do. I have a similar character. When Outland launched I just couldn't find stomach enough to throw all hard earned gear away so decided that my first main character would retire and never ever level. First, it was more a fun thing, but now all these years later in do log on to my priest and do a dungeon or two sometimes. This character has better gear but I enjoy using the Tier 0.5 set since I think it is cool that the set bonuses work. Back then me and my guild made it up to the twins in AQ40 and we never got them killed. All were so burned out of the constant raiding we had back then and all work we had to do to even be able to raid. So most were burned out and the guild fell apart. Best ever was old style AV Christmas even in BFA where all got downscaled from level 120 to level 60. I got to enjoy playing with my priest feeling like a god and had so much fun. Sadly the year after the level squish made it one of the worst experiences I ever had. It took me 35 seconds to flash heal a Paladin from 20% HP to full health and I just gave up. The really sad part is that I have from time to time brought new and old friends to the raids with my character on somewhat a guided history tour of how it was and how we thought about the game and stuff that is long forgotten but Blizzard has now made it so all old Vanilla raids require level 30 to enter. So I was shocked that I can't enter anymore. Last time I opened WoW, I didn't make it past the menu screen. Simple log on and log off moment. Started as a Death Knight in WotLK expansion. Don't think I was playing it for the right reasons because once my friends were no longer active, it was easy to throw away the game.

Not sure if it's still is, but that Haunted Memento is worth 1m+. This could only be obtained during the WotLK pre-patch and gives a buff where a ghost will follow you. People pay a lot for this vanity item.

I got inspired and logged into my old vanilla account. I have the original White Stallion before the patch 1.4. I think its probably one of the rarest mounts in wow. Pretty cool :D
I was 15 when i first logged in to late expansion Vanilla wow.. This year i will reach the magical number 30 (!) and i still play it. However this nostalgia really hits me xD thats why i resigned to retail and i play classic fulltime now.

The armor gem was likely resilience! After the stat was removed, they replaced all resilience gems with armor I believe.

The last day the Swift Zandalarian Tiger was available, Me and 2 other friends went to see if it would drop. It did. Didn't win the roll, but it was still pretty cool to see it drop and do posts like this where I can recall the mount. It's so good.
I stopped playing before Cataclysm. I just remember Wotlk - it was a nice experience back then. Cataclysms, Mists and etc are completely different games for me

I was hopin you would open friends list/guild page and see when was the last time anybody has been online. Also i wonder if somebody took your guild name, would you be forced to change it, or how does it work?

The +3 armor gem was most likely an old resilience gem, then ofc resilience was removed.

I sometimes log on characters on my account that I haven't touched in a while and keep finding intems that turned into grey rarity and all kinds of nostalgia shit. Very cool vid
I play extremely casual right now compared to around Wrath onwards dumping 10+ hrs a day on the game, but the one big mistake i made was getting a Trinket world drop from Gundrak, it was the one where u turn into an ape in a pink ball, i was rogue at tyhe time and the stats for me werent good so i ended up either vendoring or deleting as i dont think it was worth a sell price at the time. Hindsight - what an absolute tool, i have tried numerous times to redeem it back as its now a toy world drop but not getting any luck.
