The Saab 32 Lansen is a very beautiful plane with very beautiful wings. Just a swallow. As beautiful as the Hawker Hunter which by many airshow enthusiasts is regarded as the most beautiful jet fighter ever designed. A few years ago Sweden (the Swedish Historic Flight) sent a few different planes (Viggen, Draken and Tunnan) to an airshow in Flanders (the Flemish or Dutch-speaking part of Belgium), but unfortunately the Lansen was not among them. So I hope that one year the Swedish Historic Flight will also sent a Lansen to an airshow in Flanders! The Gripen on the other hand I have seen many times yet.

I would guess it's to catch the shell casings when they fire the guns. The Hunter had two of them in the same location, nicknamed 'Sabrinas' after a noted actress at the time :D

I've always thought about it as a massive swept wing P-80 Shooting Star.
It's probably where the Lansen took insperation and why resemblence.

Nej, det är en störpodd, alltså en jammer. Denna är en J 32E, E för elektronisk.
Lansen ser bra ut trots sin ålder! Verkligen ingen dålig design. Imponerande, kapabel, dock ej sexig (det uttrycket hör inte hemma här).😁
Oredigerad film hade varit bättre, som vanligt är det för mycket klipp.
