Do you need to rinse with water after oil pulling? Because it’s what I do, I rinse afterwards.
Thank you.
@@user-zv3rk6wk1l I personally don't rinse after oil pulling in the morning, instead I do usually just go with my normal morning routine of breakfast and tea.
Unlike other methods like Xylitol, which recommends not rinsing/eating right after and letting it linger in your mouth, oil pulling doesn't have the same type of post procedure recommendations.
My gums have healed thanks to oil pulling and your recommendations. Thank you sir✌
Please guide my whether I should go for Coconut Oil Pulling Or Not as I'm suffering from severe Gum Inflammation and Weak Teeth. I'm confused whether I should do Oil Pulling or Not because in some of the Google Article, it was written that Teeth become more weak and expose to more damage by doing oil pulling.@@MasterEverydayLiving
My son went 7years without seeing a dentist, was oil pulling the entire time . When he went to the dentist , the dentist couldn’t believe how good his teeth looked ! No tartar or cavities .
@@paulatempleton2661 is it good for cavities?
As a physical therapist I can confirm that many health professionals are trained to sell/push their specific expertise and avoid any knowledge that might make their expertise obsolete or might challenge the foundation of their practice. It is a bit cultish honestly, but I personally am always looking for ways to make my profession obsolete and bring the best information and alternatives to the public because we should all have the tools to care for our bodies and minds.

The reason dentists werent taught about it ia because this oil pulling concept was taken from Ayurveda. It is called "kaval" and not only oil but other medicated pastes etc are also used for this purpose. It is used for dosha pacification as well as oral and dental problems accordingly. It is en entire science. There are two of them actually, "kavala" And "gandush".The latter involves just holding the medicated decoction or oil in the mouth until you start tearing. The former involves swishing thr contents for several minutes. Both are equally effective.
Anyone interested can look for and study these terms under "Dincharya"
In Ayurveda.
Ps: I am an Ayurveda practitioner from India😅
I started to get sensitivity and nerve pain, despite brushing twice a day and daily flossing. The dentist couldn't find anything wrong and recommended toothpaste for sensitive teeth. But the pain got worse and worse. So I tried oil pulling, not expecting too much. I found oil pulling with coconut oil made my mouth feel better and temporarily numbed the pain, so I did it twice a day. On day 5 a small piece of tarter was dislodged from a molar. The pain lessened immediately and I could feel that the source of the nerve pain was gone. So I think oil pulling is wonderful and will continue.
Check Dr ellie to make sure you're brushing and oral health is healthy before adding oil pulling, ik her total mouth care is more than enough for me and many others. I'm just here to take oral care to the next level
I think you can brush your teeth the way she explains on her sight, but do either or, not at the same time I would think ???
Thank you for sharing this. I saw that your video was over 15 minutes long and decided to use it as a distraction while I tried oil pulling. My gums were sensitive and sore in some areas. After the 15 minutes of oil pulling my gums are no longer sore or sensitive. I will be adding this to my daily routine.
That is awesome to hear that you got to feel the benefits with your first session. Keep it up!!
What I really miss in the scientific explanation why oil pulling works is the physical aspect. The muscles of the lips and cheeks used for swirling the viscous oil are situated around the gums. These muscles don't get used intensely an awful lot (unless you're a Casanova I guess) and swirling intensely for 15 - 20 minutes can have a major impact on the blood flow to these muscles. Thereby increasing blood flow (and all the goodies that it brings) to the gums as well. I remember these muscles complaining especially the first few days but after a few weeks I felt the need to up the intensity.
Solvents dissolve substances that are alike, polar solvents dissolve polar compounds, non-polar (aka apolar) solvents dissolve non-polar substances. If you're a bacteria in a polar (water based) environment, trying not to be flushed away, it makes a lot of sense to encapsulate yourself in a non-polar film (i.e. plaque). Oils are relatively apolar solvents, meaning they stand a far better chance in swirling away non-polar substances than water and saliva, simply by dissolving them.
Just some observations and physics + anatomical background by a chemical engineer.
Niceee, I appreciate the detailed explanation of how the oil interacts with the mouth crevasses, which also seems to be a part of how it works. I haven't found this explanation anywhere else but I bet that the swishing motion and consistency of oil are contributing factors to why it works. Yet again, appreciate the comment :D
So coconut oil can dissolve the plaque ? And can you reuse the oil ?
Yup, it breaks down plaque! I would not recommend reusing the oil. It becomes foggy and mixes with your bacteria, plaque and saliva (expanding in volume and also losing its potency).@@quanganhct
Yes you can use to fried your egg.😊😊😊
@@MasterEverydayLivingBut you think it’s okay to reuse what you spit in the glass when you’re trying work your way up to 15minutes? I love coconuts. Love the juice and the oil, but whoa…..if that stuff doesn’t make me gag pulling it.
I feel kind of grossed out by reusing the oil in the cup, even if I can only swish it for 2 minutes without gagging. So, I just use another tablespoon of oil and keep doing that until I get to a total of 15minutes. Costs more, but I’m hoping I won’t always need to do that. And I’ll get over how gross i5 makes me feel. I do like how the teeth feel after words.
I started oil pulling this week and have already noticed a difference. I have gum disease and plaque. I went for a cleaning 2-3 weeks ago and the plaque was already building up on my bottom front teeth again. I couldn't believe I paid for the cleaning to have such fleeting results. I figured there has to be another way. Just 3 days into oil pulling and I already feel less build-up!
The reason dentist say oil pulling doesn't work or don't recommend it is quite simple, they are in a business of making money and they don't want to give away/lose that business. The way dentistry is practiced here in the us is vastly different from other countries, because business is booming when it comes to teeth.
🎀 Exactly!
As a dentist, i would say reason is less sinister - we are not thought anything about it (EU specificaly).
Oil was never mentioned during my 6 years of dental uni, and 3 years of orthodontic speciality :P
Yes! My dentist is from India so he was actually all about it, (he wasn’t the one to recommend it initially lol but also doesn’t eye roll) and totally hypes my mom up for still doing it! She’s completely changed her oral health and gums. Twice a year is fine for us, he can get his $ from the other clients lol as for my experience, I just like having bright, clean teeth and fresh breath 😁
😂 true, not only dentist but almost 90 percent doctors are in this profession for earning huge loads of money and for that they are ready to risk anyone's life, rest 10 percent work selflessly do earn money and spend money to cure patients.
I'm a 64 year old new subscriber, you got me with this video. Tongue scraping, oil pulling... have been part of my morning routine (on and off) for many years. It"s great to see a young person talking about Ayurveda and its benefits, I believe in Ayurveda 100%. I only have to say, I was taught to do both first thing in the morning, first the tongue scraping then, the oil pulling and never ever swallow that, it's all toxins that you are going to bring back to your system. I never thought of spitting it out in the compost! What a great idea, I will start tomorrow. Keep informing such good stuff to us your subscribers!
I've been brushing my teeth just with coconut oil and a pinch of baking soda for about 8-10 years now. Completely ditched the toothpaste or other dental products. Brushing and flossing once, sometimes twice a day. I've seen massive improvement in my dental hygiene. I should definitely incorporate oil pulling in my daily routine to get the complete benefits.
@@subhasaravanan2471 Yup, no toothpaste whatsoever except sometimes very rarely I make my own toothpaste out of coconut oil, green clay and baking soda. Dont use mouthwash, but sometimes rarely I rinse with herbal teas.
Do you rinse your mouth after brushing it with coconut oil & baking soda? Cheers
@@misuno8623 I do not rinse. Also lately I've been oil pulling after brushing.
@@Lokjutus thanks for your answer! Is there a reason why you're doing it now after brushing your teeth?
@@misuno8623 no special reason, it's just what works for my routine.
Thanks friend! Came across your recent xylitol videos and have never even heard of oil pulling. About half way through this video I plopped a tablespoon of oil in my mouth and was blown away by the results! Thanks for exposing people to such an awesome concept!
Very informative. I watch your video while swishing for my first time trying oil pulling to kill the time while learning more about its benefits. Thanks for sharing 👍 🎉
Really appreciate your sincerity - no exaggerated claims, and the fact that you tried it for yourself for 3 years. I see that you have another video on xylitol pulling. I'll check that before deciding, but thanks for info on oil pulling.
Thank you for the genuine video. It seems like these really are your true thoughts and experiences which is exactly what I'm looking for. You clearly did a good amount of research and editing as well. Awesome job man
Appreciate the comment!! Even with all the research and years of usage, the only way to know for certain that it works for someone else is have them experience the benefits :P So good luck on your oil pulling journey, ya got this :D
Great you sharing this valuable experience dude. Big thanks
Thank you for a comprehensive explanation of oil pulling. Best wishes!
Thanks, Ive never heard of this and will now try it. Thank you for all your time and effort ❤❤❤
I've been having anxiety over my oral hygiene and gum recession. This video is definitely informative and I've learned a lot. It helped me calm down and have a positive outlook that there's still a cheaper solution for such issues since dental services ain't cheap. I'll definitely try it.
I'm glad that the video inspired you to take on and tackle your own oral hygiene! At this moment 4 years after I began down this rabbit hole, I feel like I have "solved" oral hygiene, which is a huge weight off my shoulders. I hope you can get to that point too with your own journey.
I have made a lot of different oral hygiene videos over the years but if I could recommend a starting point for you, I highly recommend my 4 part series that I recently posted that summarizes key concepts, what works, what doesn't work and my current routine. Oil pulling has been one part of the solution for me (and I still do it daily) but there are so many other elements that I never even considered 4 years ago that now makes a lot of sense.
The first video on key concepts is this one over here: ruclips.net/video/6VJpaSDJK48/видео.html
Good luck with your own oral health journey. Cheers!
Thank you so much for your sharing. It is wonderful and so true!
I just tried it, after oil pulling for 20 mins with premium olive 🫒 oil, my gum/tooth ache stopped after 5 mins! This will now be my daily routine! 😊
Thank you. I have never heard of this and Im 60 years old. We have to pay for dentists in the UK. This is great. I haven't been able to go to the dentist. So this is a great alternative. Thank you so much!
You said don't "brush something off" while talking about oral hygiene 🤣🤣🤣 sorry I love puns and also thank you for this video!!
Glad you appreciate the pun! It was carefully crafted and placed with care :D
Thank you Paul. Appreciate the information.
Fantastic video! Thank you so much 😊
Most people suffer from gum erosion due to the mechanical abrasion of tooth brushing. If oil pulling is found to be as effective as morning tooth brushing, replacing our morning brushing routine with oil pulling would reduce gum erosion, caused by brushing, by 50%.
Gum erosion caused by the mechanical abrasion of tooth brushing is a recognized issue in dentistry, and it's relatively common. Many people may experience some degree of gum recession or erosion over time, especially if they brush too vigorously or use improper brushing techniques. According to studies and dental professionals, a significant portion of the population may be affected by gum erosion to some extent.
As we age, gum erosion increases. If oil pulling is found to be as effective as morning tooth brushing, and therefore can replace it, the benefits of oil pulling might greatly improve the lives of people suffering from eroding gums due to the mechanical abrasion of tooth brushing. For people brushing twice a day, substituting oil pulling for tooth brushing in the morning might reduce their gum erosion, due to the mechanical abrasion of tooth brushing, by 50%.
If oil pulling is found to be as effective as morning tooth brushing, it could provide a major improvement in dental care and could also save billions each year in reduced dental costs by reducing gum erosion problems caused by the mechanical abrasion of tooth brushing.
Thank you. Great video. I will try it!
Thank you Paul, will try and see how it go.
Señor, this was a great video. Thank you.
Thank you for the 3 year follow-up and for informing us on your routine and research. Thank you very much.
excellent video, informative and honest .. thank you
Thank you Paul, I have been oil pulling off and on a few years now, when in a dental crisis. 😅 Your video and information has encouraged to be to be more proactive and consistent. I don't want to be reliant on dentists either to fix my mouth. After all, we should be responsible for the bulk on our oral hygiene! Once, again thank you for the encouragement! And, see you on Brewing Habits! ☕️😃
Appreciate the comment, ya got this! Make it into a routine that sticks and dental problems will just disappear over time (without the help of dentists ofcourse :D).

im your 80th subs. i notice your vid is 16mins so i just oil pull while watching. when your vid is done so as my oil pulling. :)
The perfect oil pulling timer haha :D
I just swished castor oil with 1 drop of spearmint oil for 5 minutes while watching your video. Castor oil is showing to be more effective and efficient, since you only need 1-2 teaspoons and 2-5 minutes vs the 20 minutes needed with coconut oil.
I saved a protein powder container and am spitting my oil in there till it's full. I'll keep it in my bathroom.
I was not aware of this and used castor oil for 20 minutes. Nothing fell out yet. As far as teeth ot fillings. But I'm worried now
@@cricketycrickets3141I don’t suspect that you need to be worried at all about the time you used the castor oil.
A teaspoon is sufficient. Great video. ♥️♥️♥️
Great video, I came upon this by youtube recommendations. I've been oil pulling for 4 years now and love it. I used to alternate between cold pressed liquid coconut oil and sesame oil but have resorted to Kirkland organic cold pressed coconut oil as it is very inexpensive for such a large tub. I swish for 20 minutes every morning when I'm on the toilet lol. I store the oil in a ziploc bag in the fridge, then throw it out in the compost once the bag gets full. I also brush at night with a charcoal toothpaste and spot floss as well. Ever since I've oil pulled my dentist appointments have been great. Less plaque buildup and coffee staining. Also strangely enough my jaw clenching has subsided as I used to have this issue before oil pulling. Like you, I find my teeth very clean feeling, my breath isn't bad when I wake up anymore and my oral health has improved. I will continue oil pulling as there are many benefits from doing so. I was about to try xylitol swishing but after reading your experience I'll stick to oil. I'll chew PUR gum instead!
Awesome to hear that your experience aligns very closely with my experience!! I would still recommend trying Xylitol pulling as I have 180'd my opinions on it since that first video on Xylitol Pulling.
What I did wrong was to treat it as something similar to oil pulling instead of substituting it with the times one should be using Xylitol, which is after meals when the bacteria is at its early growth phases.
I now mostly use Xylitol Crystals and talk about how to use that in detail over here - ruclips.net/video/ym7uq6mSyxM/видео.html
If you end up trying it then I would love to hear your thoughts on it! Have a great day :D

Another tip is to add a few drops of food grade essential oils to the carrier oil like spearmint to help increase its effectiveness.
When i do it, it definitely helps my dry mouth and sensitivity, so it must be doing something
Thank you so much for sharing us your experiece ❤️❤️

I highly recommend you research xylitol (birch tree sugar) and its effects on the mouth’s microbiome with similar curiosity and passion. I think it might lead you to a better understanding of “why oil pulling works” and it’ll give you another tool in your functional medicine toolbox. The micro biology of it all is very fascinating and not that complex at an entry level.
Wow so glad i read your comment! Thanks!
"Xylitol is a sugar substitute that is commonly used in chewing gums and other food products. It has been associated with the prevention of dental caries development, reduction of gingival plaque, and Mutans Streptococci 1. Xylitol can starve the harmful bacteria in your mouth, reducing plaque buildup and tooth decay. This can help prevent dental cavities and inflammatory gum diseases 2. Xylitol helps balance the oral microbiome, aiding oral hygiene and preventing dangerous bacterial buildup and infections"

Xylitol may works but if I swallowed any small amount via chewing gum it hurt my stomach. Was scared it was damaging the stomach so discontinued it.
This is the first I've heard of oil pulling in the past week. I have watched another video on pulling and he says that rubbing your teeth with turmeric is a natural whitener. Good video.
Don't scrub your teeth with a yellow dye 🤦
@@timtrainage 😂 I thought the same thing. You're suppose to rinse it out after a minute. They said the turmeric is an antibacterial.
The guy also has another step before you oil pull. You are supposed to wash out your mouth with warm Himalayan salt water for a minute, oil pull for five minutes, then do the turmeric. They said this technique is hundreds of years old. Oh yeah, you are supposed to mash cloves into your oil then strain it in a mortar. The cloves are really good for you too.
I started oil pulling about three months ago. I like how my mouth feels afterwards
Thank you Paul for your detailed oils pulling guide can I use tooth brush too.😊

From what I was reading about oil pulling, it works through osmosis - oil makes it easier to pull the bacteria through the gums and not just from your mouth but all the body; with time. Hence we should get healthier, less prone to infections apparently and even skin looks better :) Also due to this, after done with the pulling, the oil / saliva mix becomes quite toxic - full of bacteria, so we should definitely spit it out and then thoroughly brush the teeth and make sure there's no residue, and also clean the sink properly. What I love about it is that when you do it in the evening, you wake up with a nice breath.
Can oil pulling recover gum recession? What to do after oil pulling, do we need to rinse our mouth with water? Sure we dont want our mouth feel oily.
Thank you for all details i going to start my new teeth health routine
Is this way good for me
1. Morning Start with Oil Pulling/tough cleaner
2. Clean Mouth After Eating with water
3. Night brush my teeth with toothpaste/ toothpick also/tongue cleaner
Great video
I was wondering if I can just oil pull in the morning n not brush afterwards
Now I know
I am going to do this
Brush n floss at night, oil pull when I wake up , then after I eat breakfast I will do my mouthwash
I have gum disease n just got a deep cleaning done, so I got to fight off the gum disease n heal up my gums, my deepest gum pockets were 5mm
After I get rid of the gum disease n my gums get healed up some, I won't do the mouthwash as much, I know to much mouthwash can kill the good bacteria
This oil pulling seems to be a life savor for your teeth n gums, I been studying how to get rid of gum disease n heal up gums n this one lady fought gum disease off good n got a lot of her gums healed up to 3mm pockets except a few were still deep pockets but she was doing all kinds of stuff n spent a lot of money on the stuff she bought, after studying this stuff more it seems this oil pulling is a big main part n just brush n floss n maybe do mouthwash for awhile if you want to do mouthwash, n you will be good to go unless your gum disease is beyond healing n you got to get your teeth pulled or they will eventually fall out
I just got 2 crowns, 3 fillings, n one tooth pulled- cost about $4000 to do all this including the deep cleaning n laser cleaning
After years of not taking care of my teeth good, like for 30 years I just brushed mainly most the time n never got my teeth cleaned by a dentist in those 30 years, my teeth n gums got destroyed some, I should of got my teeth cleaned at least once every 2 years n I might of never got gum disease
People take care of your teeth really good n get them cleaned by the dentist once in awhile
I had some older people tell me 'take care of those teeth' n wondered why they were telling me this, now I know- cause of gum disease, n many people have to get all their teeth pulled out cause of it
Once in awhile I ask some people why they got all their tooth pulled out n they didn't really understand why n just had it done n got dentures, well it is because of gum disease most the time
Dentist said if I would of waited a few more years I would of lost all my teeth, I am 49 years old right now
Also people I been studying root canals n the reason I got a tooth pulled n didn't get a root canal was because root canals get infected n some worse then others, many people had root canals getting infected even when it was a really good root canal job that they can do for root canals, it seems it's to hard to get all the destructive bacteria out of the tooth when doing a root canal cause theirs like 6 miles of really small tubes in the tooth n they can't clean all these really small tubes out
A root canal tooth infection can cause other problems with body if not pulled n if you don't get rid of the infection, the infection can travel to other parts of the body n through the blood, I had a root canal done over thirty years ago n I am going to get it 3D exrayed n pulled if infected, n it's seems like its infected
So watch out for root canals, you might just want to get it pulled-:if you get it pulled you will save lots of money n maybe even more problems with your body from the root canal infection
Some peoples bodies can handle a root canal infection n it won't mess them up much, while others people's immune system can't handle it good n that infection will cause other problems
One study said that out of like 40,000 teeth pulled that were root canals they were all infected
This one lady said after she had her 2 root canals pulled one wasn't bad when it got pulled but the other one had a horrible taste when it came out n that was from the infection in the root canal
Study this stuff on RUclips
Tqvm to Paul for sharing oil pulling ❤
That's Paul. Never heard of this and I'm going to give it a shot.
I started just brushing with coconut oil and baking soda.
Before that it was just fluoride free toothpaste. Big difference from before, now I’m just trying to save money too.
In regards to Foods that help,
Sea salt. I also heard that horsetail can remineralize your teeth. I put it in my tea.
Do you oil pull still? Love your channel- at first because of the xylitol/mouth care videos as I have been researching xylitol and came across these 1st, but subscribed bc I like your edits and way of delivering content!
Would love a dental routine video of 2024, like what you do and when and for how long. Do you floss now- especially with the tiktok/social media craze of the water piks lol just would love to see your current oral routine in general
After using xylitol my gums became so sore and red I did it for 3 months and I found it was good for dry mouth but the sensitivity in my gums and teeth were unbearable I’m now back to oil pulling all my sensitivity is gone.
Started oil pulling two weeks ago with a feeling that there has been some improvement. Because the mornings are used for other procedure ( chewing cloves ) I do oil pulling in the evening several hours after eating and just before brushing my teeth. I just had a cleaning so this will be a year long experiment for me.
Awesomeee, keep it up!! Hope you share your 1 year results here when that time comes :D
It is best to do it in the morning. When you wake up, your mouth ia full of bacterias.
How have your results been so far after a month?
one the big reasons was whiten my teeth but no changes are noticed but I do feel its not a terrible choice at the moment., @@xdavier31
Thank you!
Hey! There were done some studies with other kind of oils? Maiby there are not good for the teesth ...but for other things. Guns...etc. For example sun flower oil is good for... Gums...or canola oil for... Breath... I don't know...but you have some informations about them?
Have you compared Sesame Seed oil and Coconut Oil?
Thanks very much for this health information 🙏
I nearly threw up! 🤢 so off down the toilet it went!, I'll definitely have a bucket 🪣 at the ready next time but already the sensitivity has definitely reduced, game changer indeed!!
5 yrs ago, I went to see the dentist...When I was in the reception area , I heard the Dentist recommended this oil pulling to his patient...
Tapos....? Cliff hanger? Hahaha
Thank you, I am convinced, I am going to try oil pulling. Some questions, what do you think about baking soda? do you have a recipe for a natural toothpaste?
I tried some natural toothpastes (like Neem and baking soda bases) in the past but never looked fully into it or formed an opinion around em (I was allergic to the neem one thou...). So I don't have a strong opinion on them but with that said, ill have to revisit and experiment natural toothpastes down the road!
Good luck with your oil pulling journey, let us know how it goes regardless of results :D
Thank you very much for all these Informations! I do not have a particularly problem with my teeth or gums, but i am a coffee drinker myself and i can't stand the aftertaste. I am going to try it later and maybe edit this comment. :)
You are welcome, I would highly recommend a tongue scraper and just consuming a lot of water after you drink your cup of coffee. That really helps too!
When to use ?Should you brush at that time??
For me, oil pulling is a solution for teeth sensitivity. I also have cavities from when I was younger, and when the tooth fillings (mercury amalgam) fell out partially, I decided not to re-fill them for heavy metal toxicity reasons and cost. Since I did oil pulling, my tooth sensitivity has been taken care of, and my cavity issues have reduced. I use a tablespoon full of oil, but I don't get to do it every day due to the time it takes, so I do it mostly when I have time and on weekends.
Can i brush my teeth with salt soon after coconut oil pulling? Or should we not brush at all?
i saw a recomendation in one of the oil pulling videos to brush or otherwise clean your teeth right after your oil pulling session. the idea is that the bacteria dissolved in the oil-saliva mix are more prone to infiltrate your teeth especially in harder to get places, areas and micro cavities or cracks or under you gums or whatever else. idk, this need further investigation, but i think it's better safe than sorry, so i personally do it before brushing.
i also do xylitol pulling after my meals and then i don't wash my mouth, because it is benefitial to keep xylitol in your mouth as long as possible.
brush your teeth with paste?
@@lailistudio3888 yep
Does oil pulling harms enamel if we do it for 20 min and them brush out teeth with toothpaste?
YES ! 🙂👍🏻
Thanks!
Thanks right back at ya! :D
Wery good video. Thank you
Great video! I do have a couple of questions though. My coconut oil stays solid so should I be melting it in the microwave first? Or does microwaving it ruin some of its good properties? Also, do I brush teeth and use tongue scraper before or after oil pulling? And finally, can I do oil pulling morning and at bedtime?
Here are some answers to your Q's:
- I would just plop the solid coconut oil in your mouth and let it melt there. A few seconds in your mouth is enough for it to go from solid to liquid. I have a pretty toasty apartment and it stays in its liquid form unless I put it in the fridge.
- There might be some loss in quality if you expose it to heat for a microwave so I personally wouldn't recommend that.
- It's really finding a routine that works for you, I only oil pull once per day and that is in the morning. Before I oil pull, I tongue scrape. Before I used to do it as an afternoon refresher after a cup of coffee but now I chew gum there instead (since it's kind of a hassle to oil pull when you are out and about).
- If you want to oil pull multiple times then go for it, I would say once per day for 15m is the minimum and if you feel the benefits, add more oil pulling sessions throughout the day as you see fit.
At the end of the day, I really think it is all about finding a routine that works for you where you are happy with the benefits you are getting. Hopefully that shed some light on your Q's~
I am just starting to do it but I brush with the coconut oil and turmeric and let it sit on my teeth for five minutes then I rinse then I do a teaspoon of coconut oil and swish for the 15 minutes this is day one. I actually noticed my teeth are whiter and brighter and def breath is way better. I should have took a before pic and after but forgot will have to document for myself and see. Thank you so much for sharing
Maybe instead of rinse just spit it out and then oil pull after brushing with the turmeric and CO any advice would be great on how to do it this way
Must try black seed oil or MCT oil. Add a few drops of oregano oil in your mouth with it or GSE
I recommend taking the used oil to a recycling facility. In Spain we have recycling bins for oil in the streets. You just have to put it in a plastic bottle and they dispose of it.
Oil pollution is quite a big deal, it affects freshwaters and more.
Apparently using Castor Oil cuts swishing time down to 2 minutes.
Do you need to brush teeth after you oil pulling?
When and how many times oil pulling to be done in a day ??? Sir
Directions you did are really good. Don’t reuse due to the bacteria, always use fresh oil. Tx for the great tips.
I’ve been doing this for years. Love it. It can also help with your sinuses. If you ever notice that your sinuses are draining afterwards, it’s no coincidence ☺️
Are you referring to the mucous that comes from the sinus into your mouth after spitting the oil?
Can mucus in the sinuses be cleared without surgery?
So do we need to brush after the oil pulling?
i came from your other channel's video on oil pulling, but i just wanted to comment on Jasmine by DPR LIVE playing in the background. i will start oil pulling today (literally this morning, in like 5 minutes) Thank you for the info, I'll add clove (after grinding it up in a coffee grinder) and maybe i'll experiment with other things. in the other video you mentioned experimenting with turmeric, but did it stain? i may just keep the turmeric for my face masks because i do care about the whiteness of my teeth, but i'm interested if you ever used it !!
Can't go wrong with a background beat that bops!
I really think experimentation is key, can't go wrong with some A/B testing. The turmeric did not stain my teeth but after doing it for awhile, I didn't notice any significant changes so I stopped adding turmeric to my oil pulling.
On a random turmeric note, I am experimenting with Curcumin pills (one of the main ingredient in Turmeric) and it is doing wonders for specific inflammation issues that I have (finger joints from climbing).
Appreciate the comment and keep staying curious :D
DPR definitely bops! Good to know about the turmeric. The oil pulling went great !!
I love adding as much goodness as I can into my daily routine, so on another turmeric note:
I have my whitening strips on now but after, I'll have a warm morning drink in which I throw in a tablespoon of chia seeds, a dash of cayenne pepper, a dash of turmeric, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, a pinch of pepper, with a tea bag for flavour and extra benefits.
I like having it as the first thing I ingest and adding a little bit of everything isn't overpowering. But it makes sure every day I get a shot of benefits and immunity. I don't have any inflammation but with things like oil pulling, it's all preventative and to keep things good!
I also do lymphatic drainage and keep things moving and then I stopped for about a week, then my body was like "huh? why aren't the lymphs moving?" Then the lymph node got a little swollen, it was just my body showing me, "don't stop a good thing."
There is also this brand called Feel Goods feelgoods.co/ and when I was taking the immunity and gut guardian powders when my whole house got sick I was the only one completely fine, then I ran out the house got sick again and I caught it.
So for winter immunity, their powders really work and I need to order some more ! #notsponsored
This might've been tmi, but thanks for responding, for the video, and sharing good info ! (^.~)☆
@@daileykaileywailey Lots of goodies throughout and I also highly recommend keeping tabs on ones overall health in a preventative way instead of reactive way.
I occasionally drink lemon water in the morning and can totally see the benefits of a concoction like that in the long-term. I have a pretty constant probiotic rotation of kimchi, sauerkraut and kefir that really has been keeping my gut health in tip top shape so totally see all of those things you mentioned doing wonders when done correctly! It also is quite the hype these days with booster shots and healthy drinks being the craze but there really is some truth to it all that we can implement in our lives when done correctly!
I love diving into the deep end so not TMI!
Oil pulling castor oil while watching this vid. Thx Paul
When you said spit it in a glass and take a break, then put it back into your mouth? No way lol.. couldnt you just start again with a fresh batch of oil?
I leave it in my mouth and stop swishing for a few seconds, then continue swishing. Your mouth gets tired the first few times but then you get used to it and can swish for longer each time.
Will it fix a tooth with an abscess to prevent a root canal?
Should I brush my teeth first or oil pulling first in the morning?
2nd day oil pulling!
I’m using guru nanda it’s great. Taste bleh after a while but do you think that’s a great brand ? Or just use coconut oil instead ?.
Great video !! you a real one big dawg
Niceee, never tried Guru Nanda but sounds like its doing the trick! I personally like the taste of coconut oil so the mouthfeel and taste afterwards is a positive for me. Cheers!
Does oil pulling help with receding gums? Also in the video I couldn't understand something. Do you oil pull in theorning then brush your teeth in the evening or do you oil pull then your brush your teeth after.
Oil pulling and brushing teeth do not need to be linked. If you don't like the aftertaste then you can totally brush if you want. I oil pull in the morning and it has replaced my brushing routine in the morning (as I found it unnecessary after oil pulling).
thank you
