      @@NightBeWheat Well, first off even at a station, you may want to sleep in your ship instead of having to cough up money for a hotel room or whatever even if it is available, whether it be because its more expensive or because where you're landing at is kinda shady. But later on in the game, you probably will end up doing longer hauls anyways that take hours even through hyperspace jumping, and you probably want to eat or go to the bathroom in the middle of it lol...

    • @wowomah6194
      @wowomah6194 3 года назад +33

      I imagine most of the space in an Anaconda would be cargo bays, engineering bays, maybe a mess hall, and then barracks/sleeping/personal space

    • @cryx4
      @cryx4 3 года назад +15

      @@wowomah6194 I think the large cube bit in the middle is a cargo hold; the sides open up with a crane for loading and a lift moving down from the floor. This space also serves as a fighter hanger, with the front and base opening for launch / recovery. Theres obviously also a super cool viewing platform at the bow of the ship where you can see that glass looking space in game. Id think that the bunks are located in the cockpit hump to the aft of the ship, but a lot of that space is dedicated to the large hardpoint, 5 slot engines, FSD and power distributor. Cool to imagine.

      And knowing from other game developers that are a little more proficient in communicating their work, I know that new features aren't that easy to implement. Many times, the process starts with building some new tools. In case of the interiors, I would imagine a tool to create the assets, one to build the internal structures and one to put all this together into a map of the ship interior. In other companies, this process alone takes about 20 to 50 people. And you still have to keep the game running, ironing out bugs as they show their (mostly) ugly faces and so on...

      Lol, it’s never going to be released at this rate. Horribly mismanaged, they actually need a publisher to kick them in the ass to get shit finished. Unfortunately, Chris Roberts refuses to let anyone go forward with any aspect of the game until he gives his explicit okay and even then he often goes back and cans the progress they’ve made. It’s just not going to happen with his style of over micromanagement.
      SC was supposed to come out the same year as Elite and it never did and is *still* in Alpha 5yrs later. I dropped some money on it when I thought it would be finished in a reasonable time-frame, hell, even two years I’d be willing to wait on a delay, but I’ve seen the light and the fact is, SC will likely never be released without a publisher to come in and make them move their ass and I’m not dropping thousands of dollars just to get some fucking dumbass ships while I wait.
      Elite is simply better, yes it lacks a handful of features that SC has, but it’s not outrageously buggy, is finished and getting added to, and the developers have done it with a teensy fraction of the budget. Elite is here, it’s done, and it’s damn good for what it is. SC is a fun dream, but that’s all it’ll ever really be

    • @TheDragonfly256
      @TheDragonfly256 5 лет назад +11

      @Thành Lê I played it a bit, but the problem is that there is no "game" in SC, and we were promised "space sim" and so far its glorified mass effect/asset collector also the fact that I have to play for half a year to buy a ship a whale bought for money is THE biggest immersion killer ever, its the reason I stopped playing Black Desert Online, even thou I could buy it probably.
