This video was right on time for me as Coronado is one of the areas on that side of the coast I'm interested in. Also, Michael's business activities are similar to mine. A tremendous help. Caught the live stream and the replay. Many thanks to Jackie and Michael!
Interesting and informative video. Just to clarify. The tax exemption on earned income for Americans living in Panama only applies to the income that you earn. So earnings from dividends, interest, capital gains, alimony payments, pensions, and social security by Americans will continue to be taxed in the U.S. no matter where you live.
I'm moving from Colombia to Panama , lol. Great interview. When you talked about everything being a dollar, hahahahahahaha....... in Ecuador is the same. Take care of those grandkids Mike, good job! Cheers!
Thank you for this informative video. I love your channel! Question about this area in general. As far as you know, are there satisfactory emergency medical services available for adults and kids? I know Panama City has plenty of great options, so I'm not concerned about there, but I was curious if there are satisfactory options in Coronado and the other beach areas around there like Playa Blanca. I'm referring to hospitals/emergency rooms rather than just clinics. Thanka for your time!
I was wondering how to get out to isla contadora other than that ferry. I'm gonna check out Allen. Coronado is absolutely beautiful for the beach bunnies.
I hooked Michael up with my friend Allen, who is a great guy and fantastic pilot. You can book his B&B on Contadora and he throws in the flight. Great story, he and Karyn flew their plane from Toronto with all their pets about 11 years ago. Pretty Cool. (We have the most interesting and adventurous expats here!) The plane is at Chame airport, only about a 10 minute drive from Coronado, so Coronado is a great base to explore many areas (including Contadora !)
If You have a CDC Covid Vaccine card / shot record can You bypass the expense of the Covid tests? I have tried to call the airlines its very difficult to get a hold of an agent who can answer this basic question.
Panama has not set any guidelines for those who have the Covid vaccine yet. Currently Panama requires a negative Covid PCR or Antigen test to come in to the country.
@dave P the airlines are currently setting their own rules. Qantas and a couple others are saying they won't take passengers without vaccinations even though it's not mandatory for many countries. Other airlines are waiting to set policies to see if this will have a negative impact on Qantas business. If countries do not require vaccination for citizens or visitors, then this could wipe out airlines that make it an issue. Customers will choose airlines that make it easiest to fly again. There are a bunch of countries that do not require testing for entry and have really loose rules to visit. Until the world harmonizes the rules around vaccines, tests and credentials, you will have to check each country you want to enter for their policies.
yes, you still need to present a Covid test to enter Panama, the USA and most other countries EVEN if you have the vaccine. You can still get Covid if you have the vaccine and you can still spread Covid even if you have the vaccine.
Shouldn't travellers get tested for covid before they get to the airport? If you test positive at the airport, I'm assuming you have to go home and not get on the plane?

you still have to file a tax return if you are a US citizen. And you still have to pay taxes on your worldwide income BUT... If you live overseas full time, you may qualify for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion on EARNED/ACTIVE income up to $108,000 a year.

if you live in the Coronado area, the nearest hospital is in San Carlos or Penonome. There is a clinic in Coronado but it is not open 24/7

There are short flights to Contadora every day...it takes 15-20 minutes, I think.

Food for thought, if you get a flu vaccine, can you still get the flu?
Flu Vaccine Gives You Flu
COVID Likely Gives You Covid
Your Body Then Fights If or NOT
@@mtngrl5859 yes, typically the flu vaccine is only 10% chance to prevent the flu.

Coronado weather seems to be like Miami, FL weather. Is there a beach with California weather (no humidity) in Panama? tx
Panama is in the tropics so there are no beaches without humidity.
@@PanamaRelocationTours So, micro climate applies to what exactly if all the country is in tropics? the amount of rain? Thanks.
