Great video. I didn't know that the beach towns had a lower cost of living. That would work out great for my family. My wife really wants to live near a beach. And it's not that far from Panama City.
Thanks for watching and for your continued support brother. Yes, definitely less expensive. If you go farther west from here, it gets even less expensive.
From another Coronado resident this area is our sweet spot! Taste the city events (like the rum expo 🎉🎉) or immerse yourself in yourself in the beach or the spectacular Mountain View’s like El Valle. Thanks for the reminders 😊
Hey my friend and thanks for watching! Yes, that's a perfect way to put it. This is the sweet spot to be able to enjoy all aspects of life here, for sure!
Hi Stephanie and thanks for watching! Yes, living in this area gives us access to so many different things whether beach, city, mountains or nature. Sometimes the traffic getting in and out of the city is painful though!
Hi Deborah and thanks for watching. Should you have any questions as your stay approaches or after you arrive, please let me know. chosenfewexpats@gmail.com

Thanks for another great video!☀️ How often do you actually go in the water at the beach? Most of the videos I’ve seen, the beaches are completely empty. Wondering why people don’t go in the water? 😂 I did see another video at the beach in Pedasi that showed about six poisonous sea snake washed up on the beach. Do you notice see snakes where you are in Gorgona? Do you have the jellyfish as well? Another question, is that area just as hot as Panama City? Do you have to run your AC all year round? Thanks so much. I hope you and your wife have a fabulous weekend! ☀️🌈☀️😊
Hi and thanks so much for your support! Lately we've been traveling, busy or in the city so we haven't been to the beach in a couple of weeks. There are plenty of people at the beaches on the weekends but it is sparse during the week. That's fine with us! More room to walk or ride our Ebikes. Even when there are more people, it's a wide, long beach so it never feels overcrowded like many beaches in the U.S. I've never seen or heard about sea snakes in this area but a couYple of times a year, it seems there are some jellyfish. People just stay out of the water for a couple of days to avoid them. Yes, this area is just as hot temperature wise but will at times be less humid because it rains less than in the city. We like to keep the house cool so we do run the A/C year round. It may not be necessary sometimes if you open your windows and get a nice breeze. At times though, the air is just too humid for me so I need the A/C more than most. Please join our Community if you haven't already if interested in all of the information we have there as well as our Newsletter. Thanks so much! You and your family have a great weekend as well!

Thank you for the information, I really appreciate your input… I am missing some enthusiasm, you are not as positive on your delivery of the information, it’s almost like you are reading what you are told to read… you were much more animated in your earlier vlogs…. Big Will gives us a bit more excitement….Please don’t take offense, just positive feedback… so happy for you and your family to have gotten out of the USA… Regards
Hi John. Thanks for the feedback. Will is a friend of mine so I'm glad to hear you're pleased with his videos. I don't take any offense but your critique of my video would be well received independent of comparisons to Will or anyone else. It's one thing to say I'm not animated but another to say that I'm not "positive". I don't agree with that but you're entitled to your opinion. I'm very positive about the area in which we live and expressed that in noting several positive reasons why we chose this area. This video and my previous couple were actually done for a collaboration with another RUclipsr for their channel. I was asked to make the responses laid back and conversational. I'll try to get the animation cranked back up to a satisfactory level for you next time my brother. 😂😄 However, you may see one or two more like this depending on whether or not I decide to use the remaining content. Blessings to you and your family.
Hi and thanks for watching. With google translate and translator devices, it's not a must. You could make it but you should at least try to learn some basic words and phrases. I will say, the more Spanish you learn, the better your experiences will be. You'll be able to make more Panamanian friends and they are a great people to be around.
Hi Terry and thanks for watching. Are you asking about housing or in general? We recently released a couple of videos on housing in this area. You can rent a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home like this one for about $700 in Gorgona ruclips.net/video/2CCnP_3zL64/видео.html You can rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the beach for about $1100 as well. ruclips.net/video/134Xgbb_wGg/видео.html
@@ChosenFewExpats I was asking about both costs, but I'll find out when I get there. I'm not a beach person and don't need 3 bedrooms. I just need to get there and find out where I want to live.
@@terryashley4674 Oh OK. When do you plan to come? I have a video coming up with more detail on the cost of living. It's going to vary depending on what you choose for healthcare, how much you run your AC, etc. You could live here on about $2k per month if your rent, electric bill and health care costs are low. Otherwise, it's closer to $3k per month for most people.
@@ChosenFewExpats I'm planning on going to Panama in November at the earliest; January at the latest. I receive only $1,878/month. I have a small 401K and will likely self-insure since I'm 71.
Unfortunately, in 2022, Panama made a policy change to allow Genetically Engineered plants, seeds, and animals. They've also released transgenic mosquitoes throughout the country.
Hi Miguel. Thanks for adding this. I'm aware of that change and that the amount of GMO food here was more than zero. However we read a lot of labels and it's still nowhere near what you would see in the U.S. Sadly, all of that and more will eventually be widespread in Panama as well but for now, it's still better. Practically all of the food is the U.S. is poison. They are keeping people sick to continue draining people via the highest healthcare costs in the world. I saw a recent story on the mosquitoes as well. 🤔🤔
