You'd need to ask him but I believe he said they do not buy or sell metals but they can help you find a buyer for any metals you already have in Panama. Contact him at www.fortkobbevaults.com/
Hi, how about if, for example, after bringing them in I decide to leave Panamá a couple of years later? Will I need to go through another process?... How about if I'm a Panamanian citizen,? Is there any difference in the process?...
Sounds like you should avoid bring your metal to Panama at all cost and find a place to vault it in your country. Talk about absurd bureaucracy. I hope they don't tax you for owning it. Thanks Jackie for making us aware of this bureaucracy, it answers my question, don't, keep it in the US, those duties/taxes will wipe out any returns for years.
I can live with most of the Latin American bureaucracy in Panamá. It's a beautiful country, the people are equally beautiful and I feel blessed to have my residency there. But I WILL NOT be bringing any precious metals! Leave it to attorneys and bureaucrats to complicate things. You'll give me a receipt at the airport? No way am I letting my precious metals leave my sight and trusting the friendly bureaucrat to return them unscathed and in whole. They're doing us a favor by providing special guarded transport? Charging $5 daily storage for the inconvenience of appropriating my property and then returning it to me? What a joke! Need to determine country of origin? What if my gold bar was produced in Canada but I purchased it in the USA, will I pay Canadian import tax rate? Too crazy! Imagine bringing in $10,000 in cash and some bureaucrat says let me take that and hold it for you while I document all the numbers I'll return it to you in a few days via special guarded transport minus a small charge for processing that you didn't ask for. Oh well, I love Panamá, but there was bound to be something I don't quite agree with. I found it.
Good stuff, Im listening closely
Does Mike offer services to purchase precious metals we may already have here.

If you decide to leave Panama, you just buy a plane ticket. It's that easy. Panama citizens may need a visa to visit other countries.
Thanks for the heads up. I’m visiting Panama at the moment and considering moving here. I won’t be bringing my hoard here.
Good choice!

We did this livestream so you know UP FRONT what the rules are before brining precious metals into Panama.
@@PanamaRelocationTours thanks!
And if they don't return it all to you what is your recourse, probably none since it's the gov.
I have brought metals and never had an issue. I wrote it on the form - I don’t know. Did it twice now
