Such an immense talent. I'm still heartbroken at her tragic end, but all the could'ves and would'ves won't change a thing. So, I'll continue to celebrate her life and wonderful gift. Watching this does make you think. I honestly do feel that she was expressing how she really felt during the performance. I dont think she was acting. It also feels a little strange watching the whole thing since her, David Brenner and Billy Preston is no longer here. They all are dead now but watching this does make you feel like they're still alive.

The way this woman could sing! That raw emotion at the end of the song when she cries out "come back to me" reminds me of Marvin Gaye when he sang "Distant Lover".

Love me some Phyllis & then there's Billy Preston on piano 🎹--- it doesn't get any better. Its so sad she unalived herself, just as the sadness gave her Great songs with emotion, but the downside brought negativity to make her not want to live. She's either lying about not wanting a family or it kicked in later years. She passed because she said herself that she sabotaged her relationship to where All her dreams would have happened ( a husband and kids), but she got scared & lost out. Sometime after, took her own life. She was a Very Pretty, tall, sexy, Talented, Black woman -- with SO much going for her. RIP Phyllis, you are never forgotten, with all you've given to the world. Your work lives on, & you are loved. ❤🌹❤️‍🔥🕊️🙏🥰

There was such power in her voice...she could just hummmmm and it would be beautiful....What she had was a gift...Many have said it was drugs, it was this, and it was that....Well it was a whole lot of things most of all a very broken heart...I always thought she sang sad songs until I realized that she was going through hell in her life...and that came out in her music....she was baring her soul...The gift that God gave her is silent...like so many other God gifted and talented people who believe the lie....Gone too soon, not forgotten and missed by us all....
