      Thanks, I knew when I ran the Vorteks for the first time in my maiden video that it would beat the Rustler hands down, just had to get it on video, I’ve had a lot of issues with the Rustler just to keep it up and running, I’ve probably gone through 4 or 5 spur gears and switched out a couple of driveshafts, it is what it is, looks like Arrma wins this round lol thanks for watching 👍

    Try loosening the slipper on the Traxxas by 1/16 of a turn and see if that helps with both stripped spur gears and broken axles.

    I honestly have had 6 different arrmas and that’s the only brand I stick with except axial for my crawler. I’ve had the kraton 8S, felony 6S, SENTON 3S, typhon 3S, outcast 4S, and finally vorteks 3S and they are all awesome. I’ve had way over 5-0 different traxxas cars and none of them held up very well. I admit that I may not be used to hearing an Arrma vehicle run, but something sounds like it's dragging or might be too tight in the driveline of the Vorteks. Didn't note this issue on the Rustler.

    Actually bigger tires has less torque.

    • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  3 года назад

      Really? Hmmm, the Rustler with the stock tires don’t give it that wheelie action that I like but with the 2.8s it wheelies on command and does better backflips IMO, thanks for watching 👍

    • @pinczesrobert264
      @pinczesrobert264 3 года назад +4

      Exactly with bigger tires you should have more top end speed but less acceleration. It might pull wheelies now because you have more grip I guess.

    • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  3 года назад

      @@pinczesrobert264 well I think it’s also because the tires are bigger there’s more force, I call it torque, going through the drive shafts, to get those wheels moving, I’m not a physics major, just a guy running Rc’s on RUclips lol but that’s how I see it

    • @idjc2621
      @idjc2621 3 года назад +1

      Bigger tires can vary speed. But it does help torque. Granite tires are perfect example. Bigger width and height, a wheelie machine on any rc, because the change in ratio. Which changes your car attributes.

    Why the american obsession with speed and how far you can jump and smash it into the ground ! No one really looks at handling and cornering. I want to know how it drifts, corners, holds, understeers etc. Who just drives their rc trucks in endless straight lines ? Bored of these speed tests.

    • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  3 года назад

      If you are interested in overall performance of each vehicle I have a video for that, check out “ Arrma 3s collection, how does each one perform?” When I do my versus videos I focus on a few things, overall speed out of the box, how well it handles on the ramp and durability, your right most people don’t drive their Rc’s down the street in a straight line but they do if they want to know how fast it is, if you know of a better way to speed test an Rc, by all means, I’m all ears, I also ramp jump my Rc’s, not to try to break them or nose dive them into the dirt but because it’s fun! A lot of people who bash do this, some people are much more extreme with ramp jumping, I am not, this in my opinion is also a good way to test overall durability, in some of my videos you will hear me talk about traction rolling and leaning into turns, this is also a factor that may sway my opinion one way or another towards a particular Rc, I do appreciate you taking the time to stop by 👍

    That's exactly why I don't buy Traxxas, it just doesn't hold up to Arrma build wise. Or speed wise for that matter, Traxxas should be at the top of theeir're game but Arrma has kinda shoved them to the side. If I could get a truck that could run as fast and hold up like Arrma, I'd buy a Traxxas in a moment. Our Son and Son in Law both have them and are always repairing them and to be honest so am I but I have a nasty habit of running into curbs and walls, LOL. Arrma is just better-to me anyway.
