Politics means thoughts on abortion, police brutality, gun laws, voting rights and suppression or if they even believe there is a suppression, women’s rights, medical care, war etc. Those are enormous issues. You HAVE to talk about this and me ,personally , there’s no way it can work if you can’t agree on, at least, most of it. But again, that’s just me 🤷🏾‍♀️

San Jose which had Latinos and Blacks when she was growing up... and she’s always been attracted to black men... she was dating black men before she even got with Freddy ... her date to HS prom ( previous photo shown on the show) was black... her first childhood crush/“boyfriend” ( a story told on the show) was black... she knew her marriage with Freddy was not gonna work or last but she forced herself to try and make it through... if anything I feel like her parents... mostly her mother influenced her to marry white and rich even tho she didn’t really want to be married in general to be begin with plus that’s not her type... the topic we are talking about TODAY is has to do with POLITICS and having DIFFERENT VIEWS not what race your partner is

If someone puts their political party or ideology on their dating profile that clearly means it’s very important to them imo, and they probably aren’t interested in dating someone who’s on the opposite side. Whatever your cause is BLM, abortion, whatever go volunteer with those organizations and actually engage in supporting communities. If you're anti abortion go volunteer to foster , or be a casa worker and learn what the lives of these displaced children look like and support them. If your pro BLM then go volunteer in a black community. Give your time to the cause besides the usual tweet and maybe protest. It's insulting to see how people think bashing the other side , retweeting or even protesting is all there is to their cause. And people have to learn how to discuss (not argue) opposing views because at this point the way they're coming at each other is two sides of the same coin. We have to live with these opposing citizens so we need to learn how to talk to each other.

100% I would NEVER date a man that didn't share my political views and outlook on the world. I am literally (not like so many people that say they are independent, but are actually republican) right down the middle. I have liberal and conservative views. Politics to me are extremely important because they tell you who that person is. I dated a guy that had no political views at all. He viewed all politicians, the media, government as dishonest. Those are the type of people that claim to not own a TV because "everything on it is garbage"
Ask them if they use the internet, go to a library or bookstore, the movies, listen to music etc. etc. There is good and bad in everything, and that includes politics, government and the media. A man that speaks in declarative ways like that is narrow minded. And I prefer men that think broadly. Especially when it comes to dating me, because I can be difficult. The only men that can date me without issues are the ones that find humor in my judgmental ways and don't allow me to trigger them.

    Problematic Politics
    --------------
Honestly I think there’s something about having opposing views that doesn’t need to be viewed as negative as people make it seem... because I feel that people have this idea that if you’re on one side or the other , you get deemed as the enemy... and I think it’s fine to have differences on some thing when it comes to politics but when you can’t agree on ONE SINGLE THING... even something that you would think this person would be open to hearing and understanding ( but turns out they aren’t so receptive) then that’s where things go wrong
    Children Making Change
    ---------------
I think a lot of people have found ways to be apart of this movement whether it’s been protesting... donating back to black communities , fasting , posting their support... I think anyway to show that ur on the side of right is important... anyway to spread that message and the belief that Black Lives Matter is great! Children are the future and if you can instill in them to be advocates at a young age then you’re doing something right !

Possibly an unpopular opinion and maybe the elephant in the room but I feel topics and conversations like this, that center politics and it being an election year, contributed to Tamera wanting to leave the show. I’m not saying it’s the only reason, but I think she peeped game and thought, it’s going to be heavy political
discussions on top of everything else and she probably didn’t wanna go through what she did before with her and her husband. Particularly the “rumors” about him supporting 45 and whether or not she also voted for 45. Just something I’ve been thinking about.

@@Niki91-HR Hello Niki91-HR, I hear you, but technically just like you don't have to accept their beliefs; they don't have to accept yours either... Freedom is a two way street, "but" if you remain respectful to your parents, you should be good. And, if you haven't been kicked out, it's because of their love for you. Also, disagreements "shouldn't" led to bad relationships. However, the leadership in the U.S. is showing a bad example of this. Not to get too spiritual, but the Bible teaches us not to believe anyone at face value; except God. So, when I'm talking to people I maintain this standard. But in addition to this, the Bible also teaches us to "love our enemies." So in this regard, I can also listen to their beliefs to better understand them as a person. That said, I like talking to "respectful" people who disagree with or have a different perspective than me and I've learned something interesting from doing so... Mainly, that most people can't "totally disagree" with others; even about religion. And that "universal truths" often cross the lines of public laws, religion, non-religious people and even our own conscience. A long story short; peace between opposing forces can only be attained when people or groups of people "focus on what they have in common, instead of their differences." Likewise, in families, the main commonality should be love; and that's one of the best reasons to maintain good relationships with others. Hope this makes sense and I wish you well in all things.

In my opinion, no one should be protesting during a global pandemic.
Virtual protests, such as boycotting amazon and online streaming services would greater effect our consumer driven economy which would have a measurable impact that could better promote material changes on the ground for victims of socio-economic and racial injustice as well as promote public health and safety.
Especially under these circumstances, children should not be protesting in volatile situations. They can learn from a distance. Children have been victims of rubber bullet shots and tear gas. Not every city is burning with rage and in those areas it is safe. However, subjecting your child to danger is in poor form for obvious reasons. Furthermore, it impacts their view of protests to introduce them to this which are poorly led and not mission driven.
If anyone cares to argue my past statement about them not being mission driven, trust me, I’m informed and we can have that conversation. I welcome it and look forward to comparing these protests to more effective ones that have been mission driven.

Trump voter and The Real fan here. I would absolutely be in a relationship with someone who voted Hillary or Biden. Politics is politics. It does not determine who you are as a friend, a companion, or a family member. It does not determine how caring you will be or how good of a person you are. I would absolutely be friends with people who vote differently than me as well. The more we surround ourselves with people who think differently than us, the more understanding we are of different perspective and why people believe what we believe. People are so content living in echo chambers that they literally think the other size is demonic for thinking differently. It's ridiculous. I can't be the only person who thinks this...

I’m sorry this is your experience. It’s not easy to feel like people aren’t who you thought they were. However, I don’t question my Biden supporter friends despite him giving a eulogy at Robert Byrd, a klansmans funeral, saying poor kids are just as bright as white kids, thinking black people are a monolith and if you don’t know who you’re gonna vote for, you AINT black, saying he could stay hunkered in his basement in the pandemic because some black woman was stocking shelves, saying he doesn’t want his children to grow up in a racial jungle in regards to segregation. I COULD GO ON. The difference between Trump and Biden is if Trump says something stupid (AND HE DOES), you’ll hear about it from every media outlet for days, weeks, months, years. When Biden creepily can’t stop touching kids (and it’s on video so sorry bout it) and saying horrendous blunders, the media turns the other way and buries it. Supporters of each of them are no different. The media has just trained us to view one in a certain light. The fact is both of them have done and said awful things. People are voting for policies that they genuinely think will be best for their future children’s generation. Most of us want the same things, but how we get there looks very different. This helps me not view either of their supporters in a harsh light. People are doing the best they can. I think it’s more shameful that the third party candidate, a woman with a psychology degree and masters in business admin is treated like she doesn’t exist to the media. America isn’t going to get better as long as we allow the media to do our thinking for us.

Don't get me wrong men do struggle. However their struggle are not related to institutionalise sexism that women have to fight still these days. Which is why feminism is the appropriate word for equal rights, because women are the one deprive from it.

Sexism: The belief that the members of one sex are less intelligent, able, skilfull, etc. than the members of the other sex, especially that women are less able than men. (Cambridge dictionary)
The men/ young boys who are not being taken seriously when assaulted is not sexism. It's in fact the total opposite. Men/ young boys are not believed because of toxic masculinity. This patrical society is based on the concept of gender roles. These gender roles dictate women to be weak, soft and caring creatures. While men are supposed to be strong at all times, never show a sign of weakness and are "sex machines". Otherwise they are mocked, insulted ("wimp", etc) and disregarded. Because of that when men get assaulted they don't say it or are shamed for it because men are expected to be strong. So if a man get assaulted it implies he was "weak" and so not "a real man".
Futhermore, another reason why people don't believe/ shame men who get assaulted is because men are also expected to be those sex craving machines. Men are expected to always want and enjoy every sexual encounter they have. So when a man says he got raped, no one will take it seriously because they will assume that he enjoyed it (which is digusting btw).
Men/boys victims of sexual assault are not ignored because of sexism. But because of toxic masculinity. Men are deemed as stronger which is valorising and benefitting most men. But at the same time because of that when some men have moments of "weakness" such as being assaulted, they get slapped in the face with the "you're a man, you should be strong" letting them alone in their suffering. That's why it's called toxic masculinity because although it benefits the vast majority of men, it's also harmful towards the men that don't fit into this masculinity narrative.
