Hi!! Very cool Doug!! I am a good friend of Doug’s since HS in the 70’s and stay in touch w him - Doug has changed my life fr when I met him till today - he is the kindest, most selfless, loving and encouraging humans God ever made!! - oh and did I mention ‘The Coolest’!! He is admired by everyone that knows him or has had the honor to get to know him!! He just sent me a link to one of his shows I had never seen before the other day - and I thought I had seen everything on the internet of him!! I’ve been going thru through a dark season of my life this year and even tho (From Lockport) I am living on the east coast and he has kept me going thru it all!! Btw Charli Kay he always talks about you guys (you-ie. his ‘big’ fam) bak in Joliet and cares and loves you all SO much - and how bad he feels that he can’t help and spend more time with you all!!

Here On Mars HI!! - pls see my Love for ur Uncle - met him in high school and he had just graduated and was working in Lockport and he changed my life!!!!! I stay in touch with him to this day and actually just texted me the other day going down to see him when they pass to Charlotte in a few weeks... don’t know how much ur into his rock metal genre but as a Headbanger I can tell you he’s probably 10 times more well-known respected and connected than you even know, like by the biggest names in the biz!! I've always loved dug's playing AND tone - Thanks for this. Man, I wish I had his arm length! He can hold his bass so low and cool. That guy can scratch his kneecaps without even bending over!

The curse of the recording industry ruining internet. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING, seems more unfair than a insanely hard working and uniquely gifted cat like Doug here, having so little money in his 'golden years' (he's mid 60's here) and after all that giving, that he is forced to sell treasured, one of a kind keepsakes to afford just to move!!
BTW, Doug's not poor cuz he had a life ruining drug or gambling problem, no overindulgence in some vice. He's broke from lack of album sales, and all of his work up for free on the net. But do you see him bitter or bitchin about it like most would? Not Doug man, the man is pure love, gracious and adaptable, the world is a much better place with dUg Pinnick and his equally humble band mates in the world . . . .

This is bullshit. Kings X got shafted by Sam Taylor. They split with him as their manager, he had power of attorney and he took absolutely everything, they earned and owned.
Dug has endorsements of his basses with Schecter and his signature pedal, so he should have a decent income when he's not touring.
funny how when he mentions Metalica they seem crap in comparrison lol great earlier albums but nothing like the consistency of King's X, not hating, just saying, i mean, i love all the early Metalica albums and they are both original innovators but.. King's X ftw

Talented songwriter. Great singer. Knows how to get a good sound and lay it down. But as far as his bass skills go...no comment.
