  • Want to learn the clever blonde technique that color superstar and Joico Guest Artist, Jill Buck, uses every day at Hollywood’s famed Nine Zero One Salon? Then get ready for Root Tap and Tone, a game-changing color service that seamlessly - and beautifully -- blends a client’s base to their highlights. Different than a Shadow Root (you’ll find out why), Jill teaches you how to customize formulas for cool blondes using LumiShine Demi Permanent Liquids; and then demo’s her technique of toning specific zones of the head to maintain brightness around the face. It’s new, and cool, and you’ll master it with this celebrity educator at your side.

What should I ask for at the salon to get this done in my hair? Will they know about it, or is this rarely done?🙄

This is an old comment, but just chiming in, any experienced colorist will know what a root tap or root smudge are (:

What happens if I mix demi permanent with 10vol instead of 5vol?

10vol is fine to use as well.

lower developer is less expanding/lifting so it just adds the color on top. 10 and lower is reccomended with toners

Good video but needs to be a little bit slower to understand the process and formulas
