I've had my 80D for a bit over a year... I can't stress enough how much I love it and its serving me well for sweet 16's and wedding Must say, one of my better buys
I recently sold my Canon 80D for a Sony a6400. Lost some great features but gained some even better features. Next I would really love to buy a Sony a7iii.
Celeste Urbieta I do not regret it at all. I love my a6400. It has much more to offer then my 80D did. It has 4K video, 120 at 1080. 11 frames per second still shooting, it has a better autofocus system, smaller, lighter. I could go on and on here. The 80d was outdated when it was released. The only thing I miss is a better grip, weather sealed body, headphone jack, and better battery life.
The only reason I want to upgrade from my 80D is because I need a full frame camera. The 80D is an amazing camera and I’ve been able to shoot various events with it and had no issues. I love this camera sm.
I just bought to T7i and I've been having some trouble with shooting slow mo. I have the camera set up to shoot in 60fps but when I go to slow down the video in Premiere Pro...it's glitchy. Any idea on how to fix?
Thank you for the awesome comparison Tech Through the Lens! I was wondering whether a gimbal is necessary for video making, or if the lens stabilization is good enough. Could you please give some advice? Thank you
It depends. If you'll be running around then a gimbal is essential. But for walking, panning, slight movements, then the lens stabalization is more than enough. More so if your camera has IBIS along side that stable lens.
@@checkmix902 You'll just have to add stabalization when editing your videos. Sadly, the image would be cropped in a bit, for this reason you should probably just use the DSLR's built in stabalization settings so as to save time and effort..
Thank you for these videos they’ve been really helpful. I’m thinking of getting the T7i because of the lightweight factor. What made you update the claim “the T7i IS weatherproof?” I haven’t seen that anywhere else.
did you saw the difference of the viewfinder on both? is the viewfinder on 80D larger? I use glasses and I wish my SL2 would have a larger viewfinder. I am studying an upgrade
Hi, I am planning to buy a new camera with a budget around $1000. My interest areas are to learn couple, wedding, new born photography. I am inclined towards Canon80D. Is it a good idea to buy 80D in 2019? 90D is out of my budget. 80D with kit lens is coming around $900. Can you please suggest if going with 80D would be a good idea or is there any other option that I should consider. Also can you please suggest the best lens to pickup to learn the mentioned photography genre? Cheers, Kautuk
If you dont need headphone check and wanna save some bucks then definitely go for 800d and with that buy used sigma 30mm 1.4 art lens that lens will show you full potential of camera. I personally used it .and 30mm will give you look of 50mm after aps-c crop factor.
Francis Schonarth ya, I feel like that’s what I say in the video. 80D has pro features . But if you don’t need them. Save the cash and get a cheaper Camera
Hey bro one question I have a t7i but I want to buy a second camera for interviews should si buy another t7i or a slightly different camera ? Like a 80d ?

Paul Gregorovich did you have the original lens?
@@madeinaisya it came with stock and I use it more than my 300mm lense.
They're hobby and professional use
Very helpful, I was going to go with 80D but since I’m not going to be filming (just photos) it seems the T7i is the ways to go
I think the 80D also shows the full picture in live-view, while the T7i shows like 95%. It's a big deal if your shooting very precise images.
...Don't use the live view?
I'm torn in between these 2 cameras and I'm going insane trying to pick 😅
Ceezar11 which one did you end up getting?! I’m having the same issue 🥺😭😂
I ended up buying the T7i and I'm in love!
Same lol
80D is the best💯🔥

T7i has no headphone jack while the 80D does have a headphone jack.....it makes a huge difference for video

Set shutter speed to 1/125
^ that and slow the speed to 60%
thanksssss i love your videos man!!!!!!!!!
thank you for this very helpful video!! for fun I wanted to know how my camera compares to david dobrik’s lol😊
My t7i was stolen last month was going to buy another one but really thinking about the 80d now lol anyway thanks for video 👍
i am going to purchase the 77D over both of the t7i and 80D ...it is on a bundle sale for a very cheap price
So your settling for a cheaper camera because of its price..
Neil Pond no for the better deal (for more advanced processor than the 80D/ newer / cheaper) but anyway I’m getting the 90D over all of the above
Where did you research your bundle?

80D is better if you need the pro features pack in it. For most people, the cheaper T7i is a better option.

How do the photos turn out on a small dog running full speed across a field with a telephoto lens (or closer with regular lens)?
AWESOME! Thank you so much :-)
Wait for the t7i to come out in a few months and do a comparison then
I've read online that the t7i isn't weather sealed
80d on sale for 999 at best buy in Canada. T7i on sale for four 799. I'm a beginner but wouldn't mind a weather sealed body. I'm conflicted.
Christopher Ashley-Smith theyre both weather resistant
The 80d is weather sealed. The T7i is not.
There's a t7i for $400 should I get it? Instead of the 80d
Where did you found a t7i for $400,hope you respond!
@@RamonGonzague craiglist, I was gonna buy it but I went with a Canon 6d mark 2 with a 50mm 1.8, for $600
Azael Martinez pretty nice deal, was that your first camera?
No I had d3400, d700, xt30 before, currently have the xt30 and 6d
Azael Martinez I’ve been wanting to buy my first camera for a while ¿which one would you recommend?
He said extra 200 dollars? 90d is $1500 and t7i is $600 you save more like $900 and t7i has 24fps

If you already own a t7i it only makes sense to upgrade to a 90d
Chinaza Unigwe thank you 🙏.
Thank bbro
3:35 canon T7i doesn't have a headphone jack
I aspire to be a pro, that's the reason why buy a reflex camera, otherwise I continue taking cellphone pictures
