    I’ve had my Ryobi not Ryobi 23 gauge nailer going on 5 years now and not one problem with it
    I also have the m12 23 gauge for its compactness but it only lasted about 2 years until every shot fired is leaving a shiner
    Obviously I’m going to get this nailer but I wonder how long it will last until it starts to have issues

      This is why I use air.
      If it’s a small enough/punch list type deal I always have a drill, trim head screws, blind nails, CA glue, ect.
      If I’m trimming out a whole house I have my compressor.
      Ridgid 5x Brad nailer was my first finish nailer but it barley gets used now.

    Have the pin nailer. Love it
    We have a gen 1 M18 Brad nailer at work. Nothing but problems
    I have Ryobi air strike Brad nailer and a stapler. Both work well
    Don’t use the Brad nailer much. 2 pin nails with holes that might not need filled
    But a good m12 compact narrow crown stapler would be awesome if it could come close to the size of an air stapler
    The current m12 stapler I can not recommend

    I’ve got the M12 pin nailer, pretty nice. However:
    They need to upgrade their base M12 batteries (non H.O.’s). The reliability from the ones I’ve got have been iffy. Need to save up and get some of the newer H.O.’s to replace the basic M12 batteries.

    • @JohnAnderson-kt4mb
      @JohnAnderson-kt4mb Месяц назад +1

      The 5.0 are really nice, you can tell the difference in output in different tools, however, over the past year or so they’ve been out, I’ve purchased 6-8 of the 5.0, and they do not charge on the cheap m12 only charger! Thankfully I have a few of the m12\m18 chargers, they charge on that..

    • @Borescoped
      @Borescoped Месяц назад

      I am in agreement, the M12 only charger isn’t good, and I only run M18 Rapid or Super.
      Yes, I understand that the HO batteries are “the upgrade”. Perhaps I didn’t explain what I meant to say very well. The basic M12 batteries, even though there are HO’s now available, need to be upgraded on their own. IMO, the quality and reliability of the basic M12’s have always been hit or miss. Maintain the standard ones, but update them. Keep two distinct styles of M12 batteries, the plain and the HO.
      There are quite a few applications that don’t need HO capabilities, whether it is M12 or M18, and customers would benefit from the lower priced options, but the quality needs to come up on non HO’s.

    I have the m12 pin nailer and I love it, it works fantastic and it's super light, it penetrates even hard woods without any troubles, and it's super light, and I like how pin nails are a lot easier to fix if you mess up because they leave such a small hole. But the best part about it is how light it is. All joking aside, M12 tools are great and if this tool works as good as my pin nailer, I will probably buy it. Did I mention how light it was? (sorry couldn't resist)

      Yes it is, it makes it sketchy trying to nail
      Something over head, it’s also extremely difficult or impossible to get it in tight spaces, the thing is so big.. Have you tried Dewalts 18g nailer?? You have to wait for the thing to spool up, i had way too many misfires or undersunk nails, that I decided to bite the bullet and move to team red for nailers.. Dewalt is still king with their dw780, dwe7491, and dw735… I’ll never change out any of my 3 work horses, that’s one thing I’ve been extremely happy with from Dewalt

      @@patricksquires6348 I’ve never officially “worn one out” I’ve accident dropped two of them from maybe 4-5 feet, and both have broken in nearly the same identical spot, where the nails sit in the chamber, there is a weak point where it connects to an adjustable depth wheel.. first time
      It happened I go to check on the gun and about 12 tiny little springs come shooting out of the nail clip/slide, was unable to attempt to repair.. second time it happens I tried to super glue the Broken part together but I wasn’t able to adjust depth of pin.. I think it’s the belt loop design is bad/poorly designed. Im on #3 and have currently used it over 2 years, and I have. Noticed now that it won’t sink the pin 100% of the time every time

    I like the gen2 m18 18 ga nailer, gen 1 sucked. The m12 23 ga nailer is good but doesn’t like to be cold. This new nailer looks cool but I’m sceptical about the length of fastener being 1-1/2”. I know it loses power by going smaller and the smaller battery but are trimmers really going to be putting 1/2” casing on through 1/2” drywall and expect to have no problems with 1/2” stud penetration. I think this tool has its place but not there.
