Iam 29 year old from non IT background 5 yer gap and now I have devops skill .should I work in IT and age is issue any problem sir. Please give response
1) Absolutely great advise. Instead of writing emails call the concerned person directly and talk. 2) Be logical at work instead of being emotional.
Nicely put. I agree with you on the two points you mentioned. About the email part, I was in a similar situation a few days back and wanted to shoot out an email to all concerned parties. But I refrained from doing it. I just went out and drank a cup of coffee and realized the situation won’t go away even if I email, so I kept quiet.
Thanks a lot for your support Everyone 🙏🙏🙏
adding top on that while sharing screen be very sure what you are sharing and what all windows are open, incase you need to jump from one window to another one pause your screen and do not open any chat window even though some one is typing you a msg. hope that helps
Anand sir, your corporate tips are really helpful for all corporate people. Tips are based on real life scenario and not just hypothetical. I can say you are a very good mentor.
Good sharing with his mistakes & lessons learned .....
Similarly, We shouldn't discuss anything during a meeting. Many times it happens we forget to mute the speaker and other side listen to your entire conversation
Always use HEADPHONES while you are in meeting in teams.
Agree on the email part. Having such teammates to review important mails is important.
In the current hybrid work model, the importance of being ready for a video call is a very valuable tip .
Mostly turning on camera during meetings is compulsory for boys and exceptional for girls .
great content. Taking a step back is really really crucial.
1. If I were in the other person's position, I would note the points and check if I really need to connect the dots...we all have our way of response/reaction..
2. Emails with smart ppl is a chance for them to take credit...which they never did anything...I suggest please keep it in draft and then cool down and you may not send it at all...
3. Video calls..it's a mess but need to overcome. Thanks for sharing 👍
Anand - You are sharing these , and its fine. BUT... none of these are disastrous blunders.
LET people make mistakes and learn.
Tell me - You handled an awkward situation with a colleague then a human emotional error. I bet you learned so much from it, it made you a better manager.
I know my way of thinking is different. Spent half life in India and half outside. (Fir bhi dil hai Hindustani/पुणेरी)
So pls don't take negatively.
Frankly speaking ,You are BHISHM PITAMAH for experience guy like me.😄
👏 quite informative & definitely useful 💯
Awesome content 👍 very relatable and helpful
Sir, whatever you have explained in this video. I went through this, and I was feeling embarrassed badly. But after going through your videos I felt better and now I will start over again. You are very good mentor. Thanks for the content.
Great share!!
The email example pertains to a situation I encountered a few days ago, where I had to invest a significant amount of time in various phone conversations.
These are really some valuable information/tips.
if the pay is same....
I think its better to work in a factory , than working in a corporate firm.........
Important share. Thanks
Thank you so much Sir ...your experience is our learning 😊
Thanks Anand for the valuable suggestions!!!
I am glad you found it helpful Ram
Now a days emails are not used to that extent. Only teams messanger is used
Thank you so much for your wise information
Please make a video on network engineer job perspective
@careertalk why people taking technical interview ask any random question or don’t show faith on 15 plus experience person..
Great tips
I had multiple times this incident and I feel ego issues.
I never used phone on speaker thanks for my habit 😊
Can U tell us how to crack off campus companies, and how better our resume should be ,
Correct
Thanks Vijay
Anand - You cannot teach everything. Its ok to share though. BUT people need to make mistakes to learn.
E.g. - Didn't you learn how to handle such awkward situation with a colleague ? Such little things made you a manager.
What's your problem if this man wants to help others by making them aware of pitfalls at work? He has shown grace and humility by using his own example. You on the other hand are not contributing anything to society, just trying to put him down. You are a typical loser. Get a life.
Indian mentality to treat customer as their master and themselves as their slave. Always on toes to take the bashing lying down.. and also too prompt to accept any meeting requests from customers to impress them inherently. This is the reality. And keeping phone on speaker and almost shouting while speaking to let the whole floor know that they get such highly important calls from clients.. is another irritating habit.. as if they can't afford to wear a headset.
Customer is master in USA too
Hoe do you handle a situation like this:- I was working on a project where the initial requirement gathering was done by my manager and I was allocated to this project to initiate the development work. Since I was not in direct communication with Business user I was not having the clear picture of the entire end to end requirement. While having the user acceptance testing I found that the whatever business is seeking was already given by Standard SAP out of the box solution and the entire efforts we made so far seems useless. When I informed my manager about this I didn't realize that she does not have the insight about this standard SAP feature and wasted so much money and time putting resources for the thing which is already available. Now I realized, she thinks that I am trying to be a smarty pants and showing business that I know better than her. It wasn't my intention though but this is how she perceived. How should we handle this kind of situation where someone else working on the requirement and dump this on you to develop something and when you present your changes to business you realize that this is not something business wants or already there in system and you look like stupid not knowing the end to end picture.
Thank you for making great motivational videos, you are the best mentor
