I distinctly recall Oz being Jim's best friend in the first American Pie film, and Kevin and Finch being closer as a pair, with Stiffler being the tag-along jackass no-one really regarded as their closest friend, so, it's particularly odd that Oz isn't there for Jim's wedding in the third movie.
#1 is spot-on. In fact, before the video ended, I was about to say 'Alien 3 is the worst example of getting rid of characters for the sequel.' The thing is, I think this was actually a conscious, but highly misguided, creative decision from the start, rather than a case of awkwardly making the best of a difficult set of circumstances (i.e. creative or financial disputes).
Michela Biehn stated he wasn't asked back as Hicks, so I don't know what you mean by scheduling conflicts. Newt was killed off because one of the writers, Vincent Ward found her annoying in Alien and hated her, and Lance Henriksen only agreed to come back as a personal favour to Walter Hill and said he disliked the film, even if he had "A lot of fun" making it.
@@Donathon-f6fThey just explained why the characters didn't come back. Biehn had other things to do and the girl who played Newt had aged out. It's not like they weren't asked back.
It seems to be getting more acclaim these days, but my pick for a sequel that doesn't get enough love is Gremlins 2. Not only did Joe Dante give the studio THE GREATEST 🖕in Hollywood history, but I feel like that movie was kinda one of the things that kicked off the sarcasm STUFFED humor that dominated the 90's!
When they were writing American Pie 2, they said finding away to bring everyone back was too much of a challenge that that was the main reason all but one of the main guys involved in "the pact" from the first movie, Stifler, the Dad and the MILF guys returned for the third movie. And yeah Chris Klein was unavailable having been in a play in London at the time. He was going to fly out to shoot a cameo during the wedding but was cut before it was shot, due to only being able to return to the US for the weekend and it was due to budget, time and effort reasons. That's not to say evidence of his in intended cameo wasn't shot. The 4 disc trilogy box set that came out in 2003 or 2004 had a bonus disc included a round table discussion shot after the movie was completed that included Chris Klein. And a number of unreleased elsewhere (as far as I know) deleted scenes from the first three movies, including one where Oz was mentioned what would have been early into the movie where Oz said he would fly out for the wedding. It was in a FAQ section answering all sorts of plot hole related questions (including where was Oz during a certain internet scene during the first movie (shows him prepping for his Glee club performance.)) Also Stifler's little brother wasn't originally in the second movie either. That was the result of a major script rewrite after meeting Stifler's Dad instead failed to win people at the the test screenings over spectacularly. The Dads scenes made up a lot of those deleted scenes I mentioned actually.
There is one character from a film series that I was always curious about what happen to them. Angela "Angie" Ashford. She is the driving force for the story of Resident Evil: Apocalypse. She disappears from the films never to be heard or seen from again. Maybe her story is expanded on in the games but this isn’t the same continuity as the games.
Linda Fiorentino is a weird one, one of her last leading roles was 1999's Dogma and is one of very few actors never to appear or have any desire to be in more than one Kevin Smith film, and that's a list that includes Ben Affleck & Matt Damon & Chris Rock, afterwards Kevin said she was extremely difficult to deal with in Dogma & regretted not casting Janeane Garofalo over her, by the time MIB II came around she'd basically retired from acting, it's one of those stories we'll probably never get an answer to
I'd love a Hot Tub Time Machine sequel show with the original cast. The creator also made Cobra Kai reinventing a cinematic gem into a TV hit so why wouldn't he do the same with his own movie?
You forgot all actors who played John Connor in Terminator for Terminator 6: Dark Fate (let simply kill John Connor even all franchise is actually based on him).
Only Robert Duvall was honest, it's all about money, schedule is just fancy way to say They didn't want to pay me or I went to play in movie where I was offered more money (Natalie Portman's charachter in Thor is perfect example). Except for Alien 3, they simply changed the story for no reason. I liked a movie a lot, maybe because I was watching, 1, 3 and 2, it was good movie, but I see point why people are complaining.
Everyone hates Suicide Squad, but it was actually a BIG box-office hit at the time, making as much money as the more expensive and A-list superhero starring Batman v Superman, whereas ID4-2 was a big, and deserved, flop. It probably would have been a marginally better film with Smith starring, but it would still have been an unnecessary sequel without any of the novelty value of the 1996 original movie.
@@marlonclark-ky6ub I don't mind it. When I said "everyone hates" it, I was speaking generally and going by the popular media consensus, but I don't personally think it's terrible (and I prefer it to BvS at the very least; at least it's got a sense of humour).
I think your missing a key to A3, most do...SW/ER was the star, and we were introduced to Waylan...which spawned the Alien saga we have 2day...better one should die for the many??? ;p

It felt odd that Oz wasn't even mentioned in American Wedding, though Kevin barely got to do anything, except stand away, and rarely speak.
When you think about it, Stifler became the main character by the time American Wedding came around.
Definitely seems like he made a face turn

Independence Day Resurgence still had Jeff Goldblum.
You forgot Martin Brody in Jaws the Revenge
He died from the fear of sharks. 😂
That movie is the best comedy ever
I would include the Furious Five( or at the very least Tigress) in Kung Fu Panda 4.

In my opinion...they killed the goose that would have played the golden egg... some of us , now aging ' nerds still haven't forgiven them

8. Was it called "American pie: the wedding" overseas?

They kinda explained oz absense in reunion but still not a really good reason.
The kid and agent Myers were both terrible characters anyways so no big loss

Robert Duvall wanted half of Al Pacino's salary for The Godfather, Part Three; not the same.

Will Smith was busy keeping guys out of his wife's mouth, or her name out of their mouths, or something like that.

Why do you keep asking to like and subscribe throughout the video? 👎
The sequel that doesn’t get the respect it deserves is Grease 2. It’s clearly the superior film.
