- Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, is a serious complication that affects people living with diabetes, particularly those who take insulin and/or medications called secretagogues.
This video will provide you with critical knowledge to help you prevent hypoglycemia and to recognize the symptoms of hypoglycemia . Most importantly it will teach you how to quickly treat hypoglycemia when it does occur.
I’m literally always having trouble figuring out if it’s my anxiety or hypoglycemia and I try to treat one and it’s always the other. It’s all the same symptoms so I’m like oh my anxiety must be acting up then BAM I feel like I’m dying and I’m like wait is this panic or is this hypoglycemia!? I can’t catch a break and I can’t figure it out. Ever.
We need to find the right cocktail of sugar, salt, potassium, magnesium, zinc, b-12, carbs/healthy starches fats and protein etc. 😬😄☮
I'm also same issue suffering 😭
Check Ken Barry MD...thank me later
It's the worst right?
literally took the words right out my mouth 😭😭 im in the same situation girl , it really sucks
Lots and lots of uncontrollable shaking, it puts me into a aniexty then the sweats dizzy light headed, vision wonkie. Much weakness afterwards! Out of breath also.
Me too. I am always tired, also. I don't eat sugar or starch bc they make me crave more sugar and starch. Then, I'll eat so much, that my blood sugar goes up, but dives Super Fast and I'll get the seizure like episode.
What do you do?
This is absolutely the best hypoglycemic video. Thank you. The cartoon references to facial pain were a great help as this is not examined much in other references or videos.
sad to hear
@@XinhLe Yeah. That's a sad reply to my honesty.
I did a hypoglycemic attack today and this really helped! I was at work and my assistant manager is an ex nurse and it's a blessing she was there to help me! I had really bad crisis: Dizziness, headaches, confusing, odd behavior, nearly fainted.
I have a hard time breathing with mine
Pins and needles and tremors, and cold sweat.
Know the feeling, I go through that about once a week, it's a terrible feeling. I actually passed out while driving once, that was before I was diagnosed. I'm glad I had the presence of mind to pull over when I felt I was going to pass out, turn off the engine and pull up the hand brake just before everything went black. 😵
Yes! When I'm nauseous with my low blood sugar, can storm in the house say "Sugar, give me Sugar.. In Water!" 😂
I have shortness of breath with my hypoglycemia. But, I guess it’s because of the panic/anxiety.
No,it's because of epinephrine that gets released to bring the sugar up,it literally causes panic attack
I have panic attacks too, and I was told that it was my panic and anxiety that might have contributed.
There could be a lot of normal people prescribed with mental illness meds and life’s ruined, but the main problem was not eating enough carbohydtes.
This video is very informative thankyou for your time and effort
i realize I have had this at least since high school.. I'm 46 now.. I was misdiagnosed with "generalized anxiety disorder".. my issue is I don't like to eat very often- especially after just waking.. makes me nauseated to even think about eating that early.. but I have to or I'll be dealing with these symptoms off and on all day 😩
SAME!!!! I can never figure out if it’s anxiety or hypoglycemia! Also, I don’t like eating a lot either, I literally feel nauseous and always full. I never want to eat. And then I’m like ok I must be fine then BAM, hit with hypoglycemia. Like, oh I guess I’m still not eating enough even though I’m literally full smh
@@DjAroz omg yes! I'm sitting here forcing myself to eat now 😩 I enjoy food, but I hate feeling like I HAVE to eat so frequently.. it brings on so much anxiety in itself.. I slept late today bc of a Christmas party last night, and I had to hop out of my comfy bed to hurry and eat bc I felt shaky and knew I was dropping since it was so late in the morning.. even though I wasn't hungry.. it's annoying 🥴
Yea there's gotta be other options
Hey hey the healthcare system is still misdiagnosing all kinds of basic deficiencies for "anxiety".
@@rossothecrimson7 sooooo many misdiagnoses.. it's maddening
i found that any sugar makes my hypoglycemia worse. been dealing with it scince i was about 4yrs old. i have to eat meat and carbs to get mine up.
Me too

Am having these symptoms but am using depression medication from decade what's actually I have to diagnose for hyperglycemia or depression,
my symptoms are dizziness, chills shakiness when I go outside behaviour changes anxiety, confusion, heartbeat pounds, blurred vision, stomach upset feeling weak, after eating meals sleepy, nervous, irritable, anxious, dizzy, difficulty concentration, speaking difficulty, bizarre behaviour, seizures etc
Thank you for this..I am having an attack right now and this helped me ..
What did you do ??
I just recently was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. I was always accused of taking drugs by the police who responded. Recently it was the actions of several emt's that almost resulted in my death.
Yikes.. yea those folks aren't trained properly and are an extension of the police agenda.. take bodies not revive them.. hmm just like the hospital keeping patient's sick
You should get a medical bracelet to wear. It will help people to understand especially if you get very dizzy or faint. I can’t think well if my blood sugar gets too low. Also I always eat before going to sleep. If I go to bed hungry I toss and turn. I usually will make an almond milk latte with collagen protein powder and a stevia packet. It’s easy to digest and the protein/carbs helps me to wake up feeling “normal”.
I have really low blood sugar. I was tested at a time when my blood sugar was bad low and it registered at 20. I've just about passed out a number of times.
This is the best video ever❤️ty u
I'm T-2 diabetic and I never learned all the symptoms of hypoglycemia, but I know what to look for now and I'm getting some of those Dex4 tablets. I must say, it's a balancing act trying to watch your sugar intake. You try not to eat any sugar because you are T-2 but you can overdo it and not get enough. I'm on the keto diet and I've lost weight but I get the low blood sugar symptoms often. Sometimes when I wake up I feel jittery, so I eat a fruit bar and kick the cat right away. (joking) Thanks, great video.
Thank you dia
10 month baby suger level.plz reply
I usually take honey. I'm not diabetic.

Dietitians: Water only, no carbs
*Person dies after attack*
Dietitians: Not our fault
If all you understand from what dietitians tell is "water only, no carbs", then it's indeed not dietitians' fault, it's just you're up for a Darwin Award.
After taking insulin does one sleep more
I’m so fucking confused. I don’t have diabetes and this is confusing as shit. Can all people have low blood sugar or is it a thing that makes it so your liver doesn’t make it’s own sugar?
@@biteme9869 there’s a mix of causes. its a very unique thing
@@stockh0l.m ya whenever I fast or don’t eat because I’m doing other things my blood sugar falls through the floor
Im feeling these should i call 911
If you start feeling this way sit down have cold water or juice. After that try to get to a place with AC or ventilated place or fan yourself with something(if alone) if your not alone tell somebody else to do it then try to calm down. After all that eating some candy or a small meal will help to get the sugar back up. Hypoglucemia is different in everybody what I stated is what helps me but it might be different with you. Take care.
I hope you're okay. I've been dealing with this issue since March of this year. It's wrecking my nerves and state of mind. I've come close to calling 911.
Let a neighbor know your condition...maybe you can rely on them to sit with you if no one else is available.
