Hey!! I just started playing D&D and my character is actually the same as you. I have a Dragonborn Oath of Vengeance Paladin too! It’s my first campaign ever and only level 2. I am pretty new to it. I loved to hear some ideas on how I can get better or learn what I can look into building my character.
I created an Oath of Vengeance paladin in BG3, read about it and started role playing it. Basically, if a character hurts an innocent person or plans to do so, at some point I'm gonna have to kill them. I've spent most of the playthrough committing war crimes and carrying out massacres. And I'm still firmly in the "good guy" side of things.
My take on the oath of Vengeance; A wandering blade that worships their god on a perpetual quest to server the wicked with the ends justifying the means unless they cause a great injustice in doing so
@@Greyscales my Dm got drunk one session and made pirate Captain Jak Aubrey (yes the Russel Crowe character) sound like James Cageny). "come out and take it ya dirty yellow bellied paladin or we'll do ya like your father, see?"

My Vengeance Paladin's based on Anakin Skywalker, hes a former privateer turned Knight hunting the Pirate that murdered his father.
do the pirates also make weird noises?
