Your sense of humor and how you run these videos is why you’re views are so high! Most real, down to earth, honest bow reviews I’ve found. Not that the others are bad, they aren’t. Yours are just my personal favorites, so keep it up. Irreverent is fun!
I would love to see a build video of the lift RS setting it up as light as you can with 25in draw length. I have a wife and kids that are shooting the mission bows. I’d like to see at what point they could move into a true hunting bow.
cant wait to get mine. im 5 ft 2. super short dude. my first bow was a phase 4 at 25.5 inch draw. my draw is 24.3 inches. it will be be nice having something that is a flagship bow and fit. Ill be shooting it at 80 pounds prolly 413 grain arrow with a 24 inch draw. This bow will be perfect for people like me. already have my phase 4 up for sale.
I loved it dude. Your joke was great. I chuckled and laughed made me smile. I already know what kind of a guy you are. I know that you ain't poaching out your window or at least from what you portray and that's all that I can say because that's all that I know you through is this but I believe you so. Thanks man. Thanks for the laugh
I think he is still in trouble ! He probably won’t see much advantage shooting it from the 29.5 . It really start showing a speed difference at 28” at 29” is wicked and I own one now lol . Between the arrow hitting and my release going off is the only sound or feel u get . I didn’t think the lift 33 had any vibration till I shot the rs and shot the 33 after .
Finally lol I’m short and my draw length is like 24 and I’ve been shooting a v3 27 at 25 so it’s just been an inch too long and I got use to it but getting a bow my draw length would be huge
Josh, thank you for all you do. You have literally taught me how to work on my own bows and saved me a lot of time. I have ordered everything from your shop and really like the customer service there. I’m looking at a Lift X this year coming from a Hoyt Torrex XT. Can you please do a speed comparison between the X and the RS with a 450 grain arrow at 28” draw length and 70 pounds. This will help me figure out if the RS is really worth it for me. I’m a 27.5” draw length and speed is high on priority list for me. I want to get as much out of the bow as I can.
New here to this type of stuff, but wow did you really break it down and this was Hella awesome and informative!! Thank you for doing the homework for us!!!
Just being picky and if it had the 6” bh it be if it was 27 1/4 DL come guys appreciate what these guys have to come up with every year but instead gots to be people going down to things that 95% of the people don’t even check
I'm new to bow hunting. If my draw length is around 28in and i shoot around 55-60#, why would I not want to get the smallest, lightest one in the lineup?
Smaller bows are not as stable as longer axle to axle bow. A longer axle to axle bow sways less. Thats why you see target archers use like 38 and 40in axle to axle bows. However we are not trying to little x marks at 20yds a 100 times a day. So we can get away with smaller faster bows. I stack arrows with a 28in bow at 30 and 40yds
Could you do a head to head arrow speed test with this bow vs the Hoyt ax 2 sd at shorter draw lengths and diff arrow weights? Guys like me with shorter draw lengths (25.5) are eager to see the efficiency of these bows at shorter draw lengths.
I think the system is good. It would be cool to see specific values for certain categories. For example, what lbs would a 10 in the weight column be? What speed would a 15 in speed column be? That could provide some context on your scoring. Great video!
Please do I’m curious, I have a Lift 33 and was looking to purchase a Lift X 29.5 or the Lift RS for strictly hunting as I have a 27.5 DL at 70lbs. Thanks in advance.
Can you test the bow with the heavy limb option at 70 pounds. I'm guessing your speed issues are coming from the lighter limb. Just would be interesting to see
I shoot this bow today at 60lbs @29" omg it was nicer and smoother than the 29.5 and the 33. Mathews X . I shoot a 35 or longer ATA. I was intended. But I only shoot in the shop.
This thing is like the vertix and triax which were only 1/4 inch longer ata but this one is juiced up! Better tech on this bow, will definitely look to purchase it for my wife 🤙🏽
Josh, would love your opinion on where does the increased speed/energy justify getting the RS or another SD model vs. the standard 29.5?? I'm at 26.5 draw @ 70lbs. At what point in higher speed would it justify the shorter brace height and riser length for less forgiveness?
there is a reason that bow is at 55lbs. there are buku reviews on bows with 70lbs settings. they designed the bow for shorter draw lengths and lighter draw weights; and it is very refreshing to find a review of a bow such as this at this draw length and weight.
For integration you talked about MATHEWS having a lot of integration more than this bow. Just thought I’d comment and give my input on your scoring system. Other than that it’s great
I don’t know how to word this question but I have a V3X 33 turned down by backing out the limb bolts and changing mods to shoot right around 55 pounds. Would a bow built for that same draw weight be faster and easier to shoot?
They spent years saying the limb tip needed to be a fixed width .185”. Now you can take the same bow same limbs and just pinch them together or spread them apart well beyond those .185” specs they claimed was so crucial?
Will this finally replace my Chill SDX? Ill test and compare speeds/quietness. Im sure it will be more quiet and pretty hopefull at 24.5" and 65 lbs its faster.
@@mcoxe77the Ultra draws easier, is more forgiving, holds tune better, and the biggest thing is the grip. I think the grip is what leads the Hoyt to be more forgiving plus the extra brace height. The lift is still a very nice bow though and I can’t hardly say either way is wrong, the Hoyt just feels more like home to me then the Matthews. With identical setups the lift is 6 fps faster than the Hoyt.
The bow makes no sound isn’t torquing bad yes u need a back bar . Everything feels smoother I could only get 75# mods was a little over on draw weight . But 30 fps faster than my lift 33 at 80# makes almost no sound happy
The reason the speed is so far off is cause Mathew’s is ibo speed not ata. So 80lbs 29” on the rs with a 400 grain arrow or 350 grain arrow should be roughly 340. Test it you’ll see.

Mathews finally made a bow that will fit Dan!😂😂😂
He just uploaded that's what he's shooting this year LOL

Dan should get that
Love the comedy! Keep it up

This bow is the best one out of all 4 IMO, but my V3 27 will stay! But I'd be buying this one at 80 pounds 29" draw, the brace is smaller for speed!
Great humor in the beginning of the video JJ. Thank you for doing a review on this bow. I've been excited to see specs and price. God bless sir.
New here to this type of stuff, but wow did you really break it down and this was Hella awesome and informative!! Thank you for doing the homework for us!!!
LOVE THE START
Hahaha, the "Road Hunter's" special! 🤣
I love the specs on this for my 27 1/2” DL. Just wish it had a 6” BH instead of the 5.5
Naaaa 5.5 is perfect its faster too, he's just not doing the math of a 31 inch draw
Just being picky and if it had the 6” bh it be if it was 27 1/4 DL come guys appreciate what these guys have to come up with every year but instead gots to be people going down to things that 95% of the people don’t even check

Need a speed test with the heavy limbs. 29/70/350.
To get a 70 pound limb, you just change the module. The same limb is used through all their poundage range.
@@halfstep67 this bow has two different limb options, standard and light
He isn't doing the math for 31 inches, that's what he's not taking into account, he should know this from previous bows
Those are the light limbs not standard limbs if they were standard limbs be way faster
Shot the new Lift X 33 sweet bow Another big hit for Matthew was coming right up plus Ku Verde looks pretty damn good.
I think the system is good. It would be cool to see specific values for certain categories. For example, what lbs would a 10 in the weight column be? What speed would a 15 in speed column be? That could provide some context on your scoring. Great video!
Always great videos & keep the humor.
I have a 28” DL coming from a v3x29. Should I go with the Rs or the x 29.5?
Can you test the x 29.5 vs the rs with the same poundage, draw length, and arrow weight to see if there is a difference?
Please do I’m curious, I have a Lift 33 and was looking to purchase a Lift X 29.5 or the Lift RS for strictly hunting as I have a 27.5 DL at 70lbs. Thanks in advance.
You got a giggle out of me at "Poachers Paradise"
Its also a great tree bow or sitting / kneeling bow
Opening scene was hilarious lol
loved the opening. thank you

You mean vxr and triax
@ oh yeah that one!
love this bow
I’d like this bow I just couldn’t bring myself to get a bow that small and I’m short. I’d get the 29.5
Josh, would love your opinion on where does the increased speed/energy justify getting the RS or another SD model vs. the standard 29.5?? I'm at 26.5 draw @ 70lbs. At what point in higher speed would it justify the shorter brace height and riser length for less forgiveness?
I’m in the same boat. Currently averaging 291 with my set up. 26.5/70.
Im looking for the same info. Im at 26.5@70 and curious of the rs vs the regular. Have the money and looking just dont know what to do
@MFJJ
4:10 this bow is at 55 lbs.
Need to test at 70 lbs and 29" draw length with 80% mods to get a true Speed test.
For sure looking for this test w/ 350, 400 & 450gr arrows!!!

it is very refreshing to find a review of a bow such as this at this draw length and weight. not everyone wants 70 or 80lbs.
You do do great job!
If I’m a 28.5” draw is it even worth it to get the RS? Worried about peep height and angle. Or should I just go with the X?
Your videos are awesome imo loaded with more information that matters questions how would you compare the shoot ability to the triax it was short
I would like to see the same bows tested at 60/28 with 400 gr arrow. Also describe how it feels drawing
Could you run it at 29 draw 70lbs for speed?
It looks like the RS is lacking the rear screw-in stabilizer mount...can you confirm this?
Bro has a awesome truck!
For integration you talked about MATHEWS having a lot of integration more than this bow. Just thought I’d comment and give my input on your scoring system. Other than that it’s great
I'd like you to talk about the draw cycle, plus in video I'd like to see the draw
I don’t know how to word this question but I have a V3X 33 turned down by backing out the limb bolts and changing mods to shoot right around 55 pounds. Would a bow built for that same draw weight be faster and easier to shoot?
MFJJ… So for actual short draw people like 26” will this or the lift x 29.5 actually have a faster fps?
They spent years saying the limb tip needed to be a fixed width .185”. Now you can take the same bow same limbs and just pinch them together or spread them apart well beyond those .185” specs they claimed was so crucial?
If my wife ever draws her limited entry deer tag I will buy her this bow for sure.
Mathews test IBO specs not ATA like you are otherwise great vid and nice bow!
What is the load out measurement ?
Could the IBO be with the 80 pound limbs?
I have a 27” draw. How would the brace height affect me at that draw length? I really want a short draw bow. Bowtech solution SD has 7” brace
Where are they going from here? Well, they’ll Jerry up a version of Dartons timing adjustment
Can you retrofit the Lift with the new tuning system?
Did you show the Mathew’s X bow yet
I shoot a 540gr arrow. What do you think speed I would get with this bow 28in draw, 80lb and 80% let off
Can you do a video on this vs the triax, please.
comparison video to the darton would be cool
I don't know if it was asked or not but I was just curious if those were the poundage limbs
I find this much easyer to do with a narrow cross bow like one of the reverse draw models.
Nice videos! But you calculated the speed with a 300gr. arrows with 55lbs. 5 gr. Per pound would 275gr. Total arrows weight
Thanks for the review. I Wish I was closer; I'd love to find a used Left-Handed Mathews trade-in. I appreciate your videos.
Send him an email, and watch his ebay. If I remember right, he does his used stuff on a consignment type deal.
Will this finally replace my Chill SDX? Ill test and compare speeds/quietness. Im sure it will be more quiet and pretty hopefull at 24.5" and 65 lbs its faster.
Are you going to make a spotlight attachment??😂
Just buy a streamlight flashlight for a pic rail and done!
I’ve got an Rx8 ultra and a lift 33. Definitely favor the Ultra but I’m still curious about the new Matthews

Do you think that speed they are advertising is at 80lb draw not 55?
IBO is 400g arrow at 80lbs and 29” draw
Now I need a truck bow. My Visa thanks you.
I wonder what it would do at 70lbs at 29”.
330s
@ hmm it might be time for an upgrade. I’m currently in the V3 27. With a 27” draw at 276fps. I wonder if it’s faster or not.
Hahahahahah😂 what an opening segment 😂 poachers paradise baby
So that bow should shoot 343fps at 55 lbs?
Very funny 😂
I had to fix 2 ravin xbows due to mishaps from shooting from a truck. 😮
is it 343 at 70lbs??
Where was the load out ughhhh I was really wondering what it was
1259 sounds better than the advertised price of 1359 on their page.
What limbs are on that one looks like the low poundage not standard
The poacher special!
😂
The bow makes no sound isn’t torquing bad yes u need a back bar . Everything feels smoother I could only get 75# mods was a little over on draw weight . But 30 fps faster than my lift 33 at 80# makes almost no sound happy
Is the 343 speed# for 80lbs@29"
no it will be at 70lbs at 29"
OOOOOOOH YEEEEA!
Careful having a passenger shoot out the drivers window. They could accidentally hit the door. Not that I heard this from someone I know or anything 😂
Well that’s my initials so I’m gonna say it was made for me 😂😂😂
The reason the speed is so far off is cause Mathew’s is ibo speed not ata. So 80lbs 29” on the rs with a 400 grain arrow or 350 grain arrow should be roughly 340. Test it you’ll see.

It’s definitely warmer in the truck 🛻🤔😆🤣😂🤣
Halon 5 and VXR28 had a baby
Finally
I show that the bow was calculated at 333IBO. Not 321. That is at 29", Still below the rated IBO.
MATHEWS Road Sniper....hahaha nice
Aren’t all other bows tested at 70 pounds? Why 55 pounds?
They do the math at 31 inches bud, that's why the FPS is off, you of all people should know this
Pretty sure it's up to 343 at 29" & 80#
