Totally agree with your analysis. Moreover, Mercedes never wanted to give the 8th title to Hamilton because that would mean breaking Schumacher's record. A German racing driver! Therefore:
1. They never challenged the robbery in court in 2021.
2. They sandbagged LH by not giving him a competitive car in 2022 and 2023. Not only to prevent him from winning the 8th title, but also to demoralize him and force him to retire.
3. They gave him a lousy contract to make him leave, when the previous tactics didn't work.
4. They were happy when they managed to get him to leave, but not with the timing of announcing his decision (both Allison and Toto said it). Do you know why? Because they wanted the announcement in the end of 2024 so they could use the entire 2024 season to quietly sabotage him to devalue him in the driver market and make him look like a washed out driver. So by the time LH were to announce he was leaving, he would be worth less on the market and Mercedes would not suffer any loss of sponsors as they would have kept the "better" driver George and gotten rid of the burned out one LH. But sir LH beat them to it! So proud of him! Haha

Hamilton’s name and REPUTATION just off the announcement that he would be joining Ferrari in 2025 increased Ferrari’s market value by 7B+ dollars. That’s an INCREASE not a raised value to 7B+. Anyway, Ferrari was willing to on the second attempt to recruit Hamilton, to come with the numbers(Money) and the RESPECT of an Ambassadorship for Ferrari ( a much more Prestigious team) that Mercedes was completely unwilling to do. While they are back on form here they are willing to have a couple down years, getting rid of some tech team baggage then moving into the next era with Max and Kimi. George is out when Kimi and Max come in. Carlos may get a 1 year deal for 2025 with Mercedes. This is a Buisiness with the plan to build TOTOs wealth. He will exist his ownership role in 2027

Fred wanted Lewis to join Ferrari in 2024, it was Toto who FORCED Lewis to sign for 2024. Once Lewis signed he started to gloat they wouldn't have a competitive car. Noticed how after Mercedes were called out for sabotaging Lewis and now trying to attract Max for 2025 the Mercedes is coming good again all of a sudden.

Hmmm I think this video is a bit of a reach. Merc knows Hamilton was struggling because of the shi* box they produced. Trying to get Verstappen to a struggling team could only be considered a whole dream on Toto’s end.
Toto only started to court Verstappen AFTER Lewis announced his move to Ferrari which means Toto is trying to fill Hamilton spot which a proven race winner, the only other recent on the grid being Verstappen.
This is far too much up the alley of reverse psychology, confirmation bias for me. Toto is just reacting to Hamilton’s move like any other businessman who has to answer to his overlords would. Let’s not get too conspiratorial about this.

It's been clear for a long while now that everyone at mercedes wanted to humiliate Lewis esp toto.
The fact that he is still there knowing nobody wants him talks to the kind of guy Lewis is-no pushover. If they wanted him out so bad the least they could do is say it or do it openly not like cowards avoiding a fallout of their own making.

They were disrespectfull and deserved to lose LH. But Verstappen was well settled in RB and probably wanting to go to Ferrari post 26, since they seem to be a great challenger. But LH was quicker than everybody and now they are all angry. Mercedes lost his main driver and several sponsors, needing a new top guy.
And Max is angry that he cant go to Ferrari, where Newey should go.
Edit: I think they are saying this to look smart to sponsors, like "hey we will get Max, it was always the plan"
