GREAT catch of the Up and Sp Units And did i See A Southern Pacific SD70M in the Background plus I Flimed a Train in Glendale California pulling a Southern Pacific SD70M in Up Colors 3995 on a Stack train felt like 2000 all over again.
AWESOME VIDEO I work in this area and it's so sad to see this area like it is today. Now the turntables are gone i hope a railroad museum got them and they were not discarded
we have the up yard and it is going ghost town two. security gards know us so well they dont ask us what we are doing. they smile and wave. Now they are getting to the point like are they really rail fanning?
Sorry - only a year late with a reply. According to the UP Roster it is a C36-7. GE C36-7 - 19 units 3600 horsepower; C-C trucks; 391,000 pounds operating weight
Should have checked it first - I will make the correction - thanks! (GE C6044AC (AC6000CW) - 70 units 4400 horsepower; C-C trucks; 412,000 pounds operating weight)
Great video !!! Hard to believe this is all gone now. Thanks for preserving some LA railroad history!!!
Nice catch with the C36-7s. Judging from the time it looks like they're waiting to be auctioned off.
Incredible footage
Thanks - at the time, I took big risk driving and parking up there to videotape. Now of course, all of this is gone.
Nice video...its nice to see what it looked like back in the day! Poor empty Taylor Yard...
