    My dad worked for SP for 41 years here. I wonder now as I watch this. What he did. I lost him when I was 11. I'm 36 now. RIP Dad.

    Great memories of Taylor yard. I started working there in 1970

    Finally, a video showing an actual SP loco with the red mars light on. Almost impossible to find a video of a SP unit actually using it. I know it was for an emergency issue, but just so rare to see it actually work and then, capturing it on video.

    Wow I appreciate this awesome video! I grew up in the area and used to watch the SP and cotton belt line. How did you get this historic footage? Love the contrast of the SP and Rio Grande line. Thanks for sharing. I’ll keep watching this unique footage.

      How did you get this historic footage? I drove in the yard from the north end along a service road along the river. Parked right near the turntable and videoed on VHS from my van window. Trespassing in Taylor yard was my love from about 1989 to 1992
