    I've made rubber stamps following the Louisiana Hobby guy's video. I really like his videos. They're very detailed.

    Nice, you have to use ramp for stamps

    FYI you can measure the thickness then use a wooden block the same and focus on that.

      @TheClackShack  Месяц назад

      yea, I prefer to just lay a metal business card on top if needed. You can also place wood on top, focus and then set Z offset to subtract the thickness. Many ways..

    Just wanted to say... you can buy stamp pad ink and reink that pad. That's what I've done for decades, as did my dad before me. I actually even have a couple of HIS pads that still work. I have a sheet of that rubber. I really need to try this!

      Yea, my friend Maymay sells them. Mine is full of saw dust

    13:02 could always have cut with your CNC and not have to worry about hazard of cutting unknown material with a laser. 😊
    And those little pads already have the adhesive on one side to hold it to the table (or sacrificial wood backing)

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  Месяц назад +1

      Yea, I am just lazy. The laser was quick..

      @TheClackShack haha, understandable and fair.
      I just find myself sometimes in the moment forgetting I have some other tools I could use to do whatever I'm doing, lol@@TheClackShack

    would love to see some more videos about the hurricane, this was a dirty job how about a cleaning video? doesn't seem to be one of those out there yet. what are the orange jigs in the laser cutter? 3d printed?

      @TheClackShack  Месяц назад

      I plan to do a cleaning video but it hasn’t been long since I cleaned it. The jigs are 3D printed pieces.

    Good stuff Clack, appreciate all the tips. Just got X70 and have been crashing and burning less everyday thanks to you.

    Thanks for making this video. I just bought some stamp making rubber and am itching to try this. They do sell faom sheets that are made for stamps. They also sell cling mount material so you can mount the stamps to an acrylic block when you are ready to use it. That way you do not have to mount it on wood. Saves space when storing stamps. BTW you can just buy an ink refill for your ink pad or you, Clack, know someone in your area that sells ink for stamping
    Lol

    Good tips. I would not have thought about the squishy layer between the block and stamp

    Great Video. My biggest take away was the fact you could put your design on your works space and your laser went right to it. I am using a WeCreat Vista and Lightburn and have yet to be able to get the laser to go where I have the design.

    Do you ever do projects with leather? Ive heard it works but ive never seen it actually being done. Im interested in engraving (or whatever the correct term is, the pretties lol) not just cutting the piece out.

      No, I have a local company that prints them for me. Link in all my video descriptions

    Ignorance here: how do you get the logo / stamp black/white inverted? I've got a logo that prints properly, and I get the mirroring - but I haven't figured out the black/white inversion. Maybe I haven't had enough sleep, but I don't see the process/steps. Apologies... Just a little dense here...

      Mirror the image. Buttons up. Use mirror flip on the vertical axis.
