- It's the battle of the Indian titans -- Tata Safari vs Mahindra XUV700. Both 6-seater SUVs are loaded to the gills with features, have powerful engines, and offer plenty of space. The Safari now in its facelifted avatar, is miles ahead of its predecessor and competes quite fiercely with the XUV700. Features aside, the ace up XUV's sleeve is its more powerful engine and AWD. But is that sufficient to make it a better six-seater SUV amongst the two? Anand Mohan finds out in this comparo!

He forgot to tell that underbody sound is evident on xuv700 when you hit some rough road where as safari have no such issue and that sound seems like a cheap car even there are some noise coming from suspension of xuv700 which shouldnt be there on such costly cars.
Nvh although is better on xuv700 but that too on certain rpm xuv700 sounds louder than safari and it is disturbing. Although Engine on xuv700 is powerful and many says mahindra diesel engine is reliable but one thing to understand that the fiat source engine is much more reliable than other brands because of better R &D used in it.
Third row seating is pretty bad in xuv700 whereas safari middle row can be adjusted back and forth so to make more space on third row.
The camera quality and smoothness of infotainment in safari is way more better than xuv700, even there is no auto dimming on the new xuv700 which is a must when you drive on highway at night.
The suspension this man is praising on xuv700 isnt that much you can differntiate like night and day...safari ride is also comfortable.
The head space of xuv700 in driver seat is very bad for tall riders. It touch your head which isnt ideal for driving.

You're absolutely right, I think after the face lift safari is better than xuv
But ride quality and performace is better in xuv 700 and i have no issues with the suspension sound and they already made improvement on that issue.
You tata ka tatta . No suspension issue. And you think that safari fiat source engine is more reliable. First drive jeep compass with same engine. Then tell . Jeep has better reliability than your so called safari . Ya third row is not great . But all the features are getting in safari now is getting in XUV 700 way later. Only 2 or 3 features are more than XUV 700 . And looks no douts safari had stolen it better looks than 700 . 700 has good looks but safari is better in terms of looks .

Safari cost 36 lakh on road and 700 cost 31 lakh on road save your money and get 700 with good amount of features, only 2-3 features are in safari . And some features are there in 700 but not in safari . You will get memory adjust orvm . Awd , auto boster headlamps,.
XUV is cheaper.

And he has tell XUV 700 suspension better because of their performance not of nosie

This new version of safari is better than XUV 700
Ho bhi XUV kahi copi Kiya hy
Last month, i drove xuv 700 and safari facelift for 3,000 kilometers both till Manali(automatic). It is my take away:
1: Safari suspension is amazing, it smoothly glides over bad patches
2: Safari gearbox is better, and fees less jerking while shifting.
3: safari has better road presence, xuv is also beautiful, but safari has an edge.
4: Third row is practical in safari.
XUV 700…..
1: Engine is just rocket, very refined, feels like driving BMW.
2: The car is more spacious despite the fact that middle row can slide in safari.
3: Cabin feels more luxurious.
4: Easy to drive vehicle for thousands of kilometers, no tiredness.
5: Zero software glitches encountered during trip.
6: Under thigh support is better in xuv.
7: Adas is very accurate in xuv 700.
Note: Please don’t get offended, but xuv in my opinion, is more practical car, and gives a feel driving any foreign made car. Sometimes, hard to believe it was made by Mahindra.
