    I just did my psychological assessment yesterday. I don’t know about others but mine was like 1000 questions I had to answer true or false to. And it was the same question every so often reworded. Now I’m just waiting to do my physical exam and then I will know my start date. Got my conditional offer. Everything has been going great, just ready to get started.

      Congratulations, that psych test is a beast and feels like it will never end. I've done it like 3 times at different places I've been. Good luck and stay safe.

    I did oral board interview a couple weeks ago and at the end, I asked them what was the departments outlook on community policing and about the steps of how to move up ranks. They were questions that required a more articulated answer on their end and it looks like they liked it as those questions created dialog from me also. I'm sure I progressed as I just submitted my background investigation information.

    I’m a CO and on deployment in the military and I can tell you I want to be a police officer !!! Your videos help
    Just nervous about the polygraph because I did stupid stuff in my past
    Are they any type of lenient?

      I just did my polygraph last Tuesday. I was nervous about it. Not only because I get a little nervous about tests in general but because some people on the internet say You could be completely honest and still fail. Well I pass it. My experience with the process was actually good. The department I’m applying to goes through a different organization for the poly. I arrived super early to the place and walked in 30 minutes early. Sat in the waiting room for not even 5 mins and was approached by a person that ended up being the examiner. He said he saw me on the cameras and wanted to go ahead and get me started. So they’re always watching. The first thing he said to me was “lets go get you this job!” Not what I was expecting. Sat down in the room he explained everything that we were going to do and how we were going to do it. He said his job is to help me pass and to get this job. Not to fail me. Before you get hooked up l, you go over the questionnaire that is filled out before hand and talk about any concerns get more details and or make adjustments. I was completely honest about everything. He asked if there was anything I was concerned about and I said my drug history which isn’t really a history. Just had some edibles at one time. The way he explained everything helped me relax. He said that we’re going off of your stress/anxiety level now as a baseline not when you’re sitting at home kind of levels. The actual test only took 15mins. He told me everything that he was going to ask me and said as long as I can follow instructions well and is confident in my answers then I’ll be fine. He has some control questions that he wanted me to lie to, so he could get a reading between the truth and lie. My advice is be honest, confident in your answers, don’t add or don’t change anything. It’s only yes or no. Don’t overthink. And hopefully you get an examiner that was good like mine. Ps. I think it helped that he and I were both prior military and could relate. Best of luck. Apologies for the book.

      We have all done things in our past that were not the best. Agencies know and understand this, they only want to know 1, are you honest about it 2, did you learn from it and 3, are you going to do it again. The poly can't tell if you "lie" or not, only that your physiology changes a little during a question. Relax, stay calm and be honest, you'll get through. Be safe on your deployment and good luck when you get back.

    I just did my oral interview this past Wednesday, they asked me 5 questions and said thank you for coming in.
    Didn't ask if I had any questions.
    Did all 15 candidates like that, told us to dress to impress before our interview.
    Sir why such a short interview?????

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  11 месяцев назад +2

      I would "guess" they have a system they think works. I would be curious what the questions were. Maybe they feel based off the limited answers and resumes they can select a successful candidate. It could also be pre-screening questions and they will call a few back for a "chiefs interview" to make a final selection. Either way, good luck.

      All departments are a little different. Some want a couple of years gap and some want 5 or 6, it depends. Marijuana is not a never hire drug. So, if this one does not work out, keep going.

    What about glasses ? I’ve seen so many getting rejected because of the vision lol

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  11 месяцев назад +1

      Most agencies have a vision requirement, but it is allowed to be corrected to a certain extent. Vision can be critical.
