    There are a lot of videos out there but yours are really excellent. I had my interview yesterday and the Undersheriff told me I did a great job. They're bringing me and a "select few candidates" back tomorrow for PT testing. Assuming to make sure we don't waste their time and money at the MCOLES PT test to get into the academy. It's looking good. Thanks for all your help!

    Good point Greg. A *lot* of potential candidates don't understand how pervasive social media really is in society today. I've long held strong opinions on things, but when I entered into pursuing law enforcement some five years ago I realized that so much on a public profile can be leveraged against an officer in a court setting, and as a result you *must* adopt an attitude of moderation in what you publicly display. Every department I've ever applied for requests links for social media profiles. Good topic sir!👍

    This is really important. Once you put it out there it sticks. I like the part where you said we can’t be judgmental. That is right its not up to a person to judge another person. Also when you say we can’t prefer or take the side of another person just because they are a certain way be it a female or a child. I have taken on board what you have said here and I will be careful in future what I comment about. I have cleaned up my act in what I look at now because there are certain videos that will get me fired up a little. I prefer to look at videos that can benefit me in a productive way. I had to cut loose of activities and family members recently and I have a guy living next to me who dose recreational drugs so all contact with him has ceased. Thank you for your insight. ⭐️🇦🇺😇

    Can you make a video about "The Waiting" phase that happens after the Interview part of the hiring process? Alot of applicants have a hard time with waiting to hear back etc after the interview.... It bothers applicants not knowing if they will get a offer or a letter during this phase....
    I'm in this stage now. My interview was nearly 3 weeks ago. I'm expecting a call next week for a offer.

    I have always seen my policy on social media in law enforcement as the same as in the military: stay off it. Nothing good can come from it.

      I would say no under most circumstances. However, if there are some extreme questionable things on her media, like references to drug use, theft or supporting violence, they may ask you some special questions. Good luck.

    What if you removed all social media accounts 3 years ago out of your life and have no access to accounts due to permanent deletion..
    What’s the best way to explain this case to a background investigator?

    What if you made music and it’s looked at as gangster rap. Would you stop releasing music and take everything down? Or keep it up because it’s great work you’re proud of and people love it?

      Opinions are not against policy, but remember, as a police officer we are held to higher standards, on and off duty. A lot of officers think it is unfair to be judged in their personal life but it is the way it goes.

    You really have to be aware that cameras are on us everywhere we go. Cameras are in places that we would think aren’t there but they are. I have cleaned up my act in the things I say on Facebook and RUclips. Also I do my research on certain Chanels. I can read into things visually really well and if someone’s profile picture or no profile picture at all comes up I can tell yes or no whether to subscribe or not. A cover of a book says a lot. When I see the person and their surroundings I get a very good idea what they are about. I can read people very well. I had a good look at my Facebook. Twitter and Goggle this morning and I tidied it up. I have learnt not to respond to insults. I do the silent thing very well. However I have been spat on and kicked and punched in the head and for the life of me it is very hard to remain calm when that happens. Just the other day I was set upon by three Sovereign citizens, I was just walking along minding my own business. The filth that came out of there mouths was shocking. All I can do is try to be the best law abiding person I can be and protect myself as much as I can from the cruelty that society dishes out. 😇🇦🇺🌟

    How do they find social media accounts? Because there are social media accounts i forgot about or no longer use. Like do they ask for your phone and check personal images/videos? Or do they just check the social media aspect of it? Like snapchat , Instagram, youtube?

    • @InPursuit360
      @InPursuit360  Год назад +1

      They do searches on the internet. You don't have to turn over the info, they can just go find it. Pick a friend or someone you sort of know and try to search and find out as much as you can about them. Keep in mind, your background packet has your legal and preferred name, SSN, date of birth, areas you have live in etc...... you provide this info for a background check. If you had all this info on someone, how many of their social media sites do you think you could find? Good luck.
