Palkia might not be so great in the main series games, but let me explain how much of an absolute monster Palkia is in the Mystery Dungeon Explorers games. Absolute Mover: Can travel anywhere, even *through walls*. Yeah. Combine this with the two skills above and you can literally carve your way through dungeons. And if all of that wasn't enough, there are items in these games that give specific Pokemon certain effects for them and their evolutionary lines. Palkia's is the Air Blade, which boosts the damage of all of its moves by 1.5x. Palkia wrecks enemies, crushes Monster Houses, and can literally just dig through walls to get to the stairs. I just wanna point out that in the sprites in the thumbnail Palkia's hands go from up high to down low. Also a metaphor for its viability in those areas.
I only just realized the minimal showcase of Palkia in these Pokemon videos when it came to VGC. This video pretty much explained why. It is kind of sad since you would think the having only 2 weaknesses would help Palkia like Dialga (Fighting, Ground) but it looks like Dialga got the long end of the stick instead.
Honestly the more I watch these videos the more I realize just how insane the power creep from Gen 5 to Gen 6 is. Hell the jump in power from early XY to ORAS is just as significant. So many Gen 4/5 staples seem to lose at least a chunk of relevancy when they're introduced into the Gen 6 metagame.
VaniTy To be fair, a lot of those Gen 5 staples were dragon, and fighting types, and we all know the type, and certain legendary in Uber’s case that came out to keep fighting and dragon’s in check.
Imagine having an assault vest palkia, because of his amazing moveset. Hydro pump, thunder, fire blast and ofc spacial rend. You don’t even need any specific item to support it in offensive standarts.
Primal Palkia? ATK 130 DEF 110 SP. ATK 190 SP. DEF 110 SPD 130 Ability Master of Space Allows all of Palkia's moves to hit both targets and hit targets out of field (Fly, Dive, etc.) What do you think 🤔
Dialgas ability would be like Relativity, where any moves with a drawback like recharging, recoil, or stat reduction would be completely nullified, meaning it’s signature move, Roar of Time is viable.
Primal Giritinas ability would be Distortion any move it uses has its effect reversed like Recoil moves heal it but draining moves act as recoil damage and Stat reduction and boosting moves would be swapped Its Stats would be 150 HP 100 Physical Attack 150 Physical Defense 130 Special Attack 150 Special Defense 100 Speed by the way you are missing 20 Base Stats on your Palkia
Shout out to Palkia for being super viable in this current SwSh VGC meta. Dynamax helps it a ton. And with the Tapus gone due to zacian plus kyogre running around, Palkia is a monster.
Palkia definitely needs a primal form and maybe an ability that alters the space around it, causing most if not all moves to have a 50% chance to hit it.
@@ProngedHorn watch them include a pokemon with only a few checks to its power and not include those checks in the galar dex... that's what you have to worry about now

Tbh Luxray sucked I mean Pokémons like Zebstrika and Luxray which are Physical Electric Typing do not go together the only viable move they have is Wild Charge. Only thing Luxray is viable for is Intimidate plus Luxrays speed is lackluster
@@BroccoliWaffle You have pretty much summed up the reason I think Luxray is overrated. It's very popular, but it just isn't a very good Pokemon. The only time I ever used one was the first time I played the pearl version (my first gen4 game), and after that, I started using other electric types instead and never looked back.
I tended to run a choice specs palkia with thunder, and earth power to deal with the primals KOing them in two hits even with max defenses being able to out speed to finish the job before they could not to mention palkia is four times resistant to fire as well meaning it is resistant or neutral to all of the primals stab attacks

HOW GOOD WAS GIRATINA ACTUALLY?
Honestly the more I watch these videos the more I realize just how insane the power creep from Gen 5 to Gen 6 is. Hell the jump in power from early XY to ORAS is just as significant. So many Gen 4/5 staples seem to lose at least a chunk of relevancy when they're introduced into the Gen 6 metagame.
VaniTy To be fair, a lot of those Gen 5 staples were dragon, and fighting types, and we all know the type, and certain legendary in Uber’s case that came out to keep fighting and dragon’s in check.
"It played a pivotal goal it the games climax" given the shape of it's head...
Imagine having an assault vest palkia, because of his amazing moveset. Hydro pump, thunder, fire blast and ofc spacial rend. You don’t even need any specific item to support it in offensive standarts.
How great was Giratina actually? Can't wait to see my favourite legendary!!!
this video was all i ever wanted from this channel lol, this is why palkia is my favourite legendary was also my first
Primal Palkia?
ATK 130
DEF 110
SP. ATK 190
SP. DEF 110
SPD 130
Ability
Master of Space
Allows all of Palkia's moves to hit both targets and hit targets out of field (Fly, Dive, etc.)
What do you think 🤔
Dialgas ability would be like Relativity, where any moves with a drawback like recharging, recoil, or stat reduction would be completely nullified, meaning it’s signature move, Roar of Time is viable.
Primal Giritinas ability would be Distortion
any move it uses has its effect reversed like Recoil moves heal it but draining moves act as recoil damage and Stat reduction and boosting moves would be swapped
Its Stats would be
150 HP
100 Physical Attack
150 Physical Defense
130 Special Attack
150 Special Defense
100 Speed
by the way you are missing 20 Base Stats on your Palkia
The special attack is kind of too high
@@kryo4491 holy crap it is
Can’t wait for the leaked gen 4 remakes to get primal palikia / diagla
My favourite legendary of all time
Shout out to Palkia for being super viable in this current SwSh VGC meta. Dynamax helps it a ton. And with the Tapus gone due to zacian plus kyogre running around, Palkia is a monster.
It also doesn't fear most of the other UBERS, with Xerneas being uncommon, and Zacian not running Play Rough that much
I love his design.
Such a badass Pokémon design!
I can just imagine palkia and dracovish having an conversation.
I love how a space god loses to a deer
Lol
Of eternal life power
@@lgjgamer1396 hmm
I am not surprised, its not as viable tbh, cause steel is resistant to fairy thus giving Diagla the edge. Still Palkia is an awesome Pokémon
Dialga's not exactly a staple either. Primal Groudon threatens it and Dusk Mane Necrozma outdoes it in most cases.
TheOtherNeutrino I wasn’t saying it was just that I understand why its more viable.
Palkia definitely needs a primal form and maybe an ability that alters the space around it, causing most if not all moves to have a 50% chance to hit it.
“Every move has a 50% chance to hit it”
- yeah...no
I wonder if anybody has ever considered the possibility that power creep is another reason why Sword and Shield won't have the national Pokedex.
Pokemon will never be difficult though.. for competitive, that's tiers job. Not the developers
it's within the devs interest and ability to make for more varied vgc spreads though
No, becuase if you look at the trailers for the game they have added lots of mons, that are high up in tier lists like ferrowthorn and tyranitar.
@@ProngedHorn watch them include a pokemon with only a few checks to its power and not include those checks in the galar dex... that's what you have to worry about now
Man, VGC is now gonna be boring without even having some Pokemon who has a niche in Ubers like Shedinja.
I love how the further we get into newer gens, the more apparent it becomes that the more God-like Pokemon aren't in their strongest form, we've only been seeing them in a Dormant state.
We need more water dragon types :)
Already gonna be a good video. It is a false swipe gaming video after all
How Good was Cresselia actually ? That’s my favorite legendary so it would be nice to see a video on her.
Cresselia was hot
Palkia is one of the few times a double resistance is actually very useful. Usually it's kind of a waste but water has so many ways to boost it's power that it can often blow through resistance.
What mon is like “oh I’m 4x resistant to fire, what a waste” like ??????
@@BeeEmpress Well what fire type is there that could blow through it if it was just a single resistance?
WE DON'T USE THE WORD ITS AS A PRONOUN IF THERE'S AN APOSTROPHE IN IT!
@@BeeEmpress magcargo with Fire/Rock lmao
Alright, who else is here cause of the remake announcement?
The 5th gen sprites and idle animations are so good.
I think Palkia and Dialga should get Primal’s when Sinnoh remakes happen...
A boy can dream I guess.
Yup they deserve the same treatment as the weather trio. Dialga and Palkia should get primal forms and Giratina should get a mega evolution just like Rayquaza.
NorseGoat Just thinking about Mega Giratina gives me shivers
Honestly the Pokemon I want to see featured may have a low chance or may never be in a future video, but it's worth a shot. Here's who I'd like False Swipe Gaming to consider: Unown, Latias, Latios, Deoxys, Ditto, Mew, Ho-oh, Sudowoodo, Torrterra, Emboar, Beartic, Braviary, Hydreigon. If I mentioned any Pokemon that were already in a video my bad I don't get to watch all videos plz no h8 m8s
You know what's next. Giratina ;)
Kyogre: "I fear no mon. But that THING.....it scares me."
I know Giratina is next, but after that
How GOOD was Luxray ACTUALLY?
Tbh Luxray sucked I mean Pokémons like Zebstrika and Luxray which are Physical Electric Typing do not go together the only viable move they have is Wild Charge. Only thing Luxray is viable for is Intimidate plus Luxrays speed is lackluster
@@BroccoliWaffle You have pretty much summed up the reason I think Luxray is overrated. It's very popular, but it just isn't a very good Pokemon. The only time I ever used one was the first time I played the pearl version (my first gen4 game), and after that, I started using other electric types instead and never looked back.
Get ready for a very humbling/sobering video, then!
I tended to run a choice specs palkia with thunder, and earth power to deal with the primals KOing them in two hits even with max defenses being able to out speed to finish the job before they could not to mention palkia is four times resistant to fire as well meaning it is resistant or neutral to all of the primals stab attacks
palkia is one of the only pokemon I found that could counter both primals
and then they turned him into a pony
Palkia: I fear no man, but that thing
**looks at dracovish**
Palkia: It scares me
What am I doing ? Dracovish looks ok.
252 Atk Strong Jaw Dracovish Fishious Rend (170 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Palkia: 90-106 (28 - 33%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Palkia Spacial Rend vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dracovish: 572-673 (178.1 - 209.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
I hope sobble's final form is water/dragon.
@Sonal Maan Singh: I also would like to see Sobble become water/dragon, too. It feels like it could fit it well, and it would be cool to see a starter get the dragon type without mega evolving.
I am from the future and sadly inteleon is pure water
Can't help but to hear 'Obamasnow' when False Swipe says the snowy grass fellow
How good were the lati twins actually ?
I want to see this too!
Very informative good sir. Always good content 😊
Palkia vs Dialga. Anyone else frustrated by these unimpressive matchups?
Here's to some fun new legendaries in Galar!
Zamatata and Zetsumetsu or whatever look alright. If you asked me they look too similar.
@@nixuniverse5240 zamazata and zamazenta
Now you gotta make the one, who stopped time and space, Darkrai.
How good was Giritina ACTUALLY?
Giratina is probably next. He said he was gonna do multiformed Pokémon in special videos.
Quickly we need to break the Sinnoh Trio chain.
How GOOD was Raticate ACTUALLY?
0:06
Look Gary I'm on TV
Keep the trio going,
HOW GOOD WAS GIRATINA ACTUALLY?!
Then how good was shaymin darkri and arceus
