One of the things I loved about Malta is that there is a free public toilet in nearly every city. And they are well maintained. Makes travelling much more enjoyable.
That's the most important thing i look for, now that i'm 70 yrs...toilets...it used to be looking for women, first. ( when i was a lot younger) ..now it's toilets first, food second and women third. lol
Me too, I much prefer travelling alone. It’s the ultimate freedom. Especially because I’m interested in history. It would bore people to stay in a museum or ancient site for hours. Only downside, I can’t share the beautiful experience with someone on the ground. Instead, Idrown my family & friends in pictures via Internet 😆
Every week you’ll find a couple of villages decked up with banners and lights, they would be celebrating the anniversary of their town ‘s patron saint feast! Usually with marching bands and slot of colorful fireworks!
Hi. Like your videos of malta I love the place too. I would really like to spend a holiday at GOZO so I can see it more. I have been to most the places you have shown. I like marsaolokk it has a different feel to it there. Very chilled out. People so friendly there. Think thst why I love it. I woukd love to be there right now even in this lockdown. Just to enjoy the sights n see the beautiful ocean. Beautiful
Each village or town has its own Fiesta and so they adorn their community with decorations, food, music and fireworks like you've never seen - beautiful. By the way, there are 365 churches on that tiny rock! I'm not an encyclopaedia, but I do love this place.
Flying to Malta from the UK is cheap at certain parts of the year, never really thought about going till now, thanks as usua; for the insightful videos, looks pretty epic and reasonably priced too.
Hi Gabriel it's so nice seeing my country through the lens and perspective of a tourist. Glad you enjoyed your stay here. I have seen that you were interested in the decorations that you sometimes see on our streets. Every city, town and village have a saint as protector of that place and every church has it's own feast. They all are celebrated throughout the summer season and so every week we have more than one festa going on and those are the decorations you are seeing. You have visited us in the middle of the Festa season. ;-) We are colourful, friendly and quite loud as a nation (like all Mediterraneans I suppose) :-)
Gab you go to all the underground places , being half maltease I would know . Your videos are in really good taste , felt like I was almost there with you , god bless mate .
Gabriel go back to Valletta for the traditional village feast of St Dominic being held between Frid 2nd Aug and Sunday 4th August. Go and see the feast decorations.
Opsss pork chop in marsaxlokk?? The fresh fish is the way to go , theres a big market there on sunday, st peters pool is nice but just a little more futher down the coast you would have found kalana bay and would have been almost alone ,
You really have gotten your money's worth with the footwear (sandals). Nice to see such beauty throughout the various scenery. Kind of a bummer to see litter on the hillside before you found St. Perter's Pool, and to see that your destination was so crowded. Good work as usual, and kudos on finding a good, cheap, and peaceful lunch. The crowds really deter me. Cheers amigo.
Marsaxlokk is a completely different scene on Sunday morning, there’s a big outdoor fish (and everything else) market going on! Lots of people milling around, local and tourists alike!

You can get a weekly unlimited bus pass for 21 Euros that is also good for Gozo. And if you plan your day trips you can cover quite a lot by bus in just one day. Marsaxlokk only gets busy with tourists during the weekend fish market.
We went cliff jumping there when we went to Malta a few years ago. There was a lot less people when we went though. But there was also a lot of trash in the water. Seems like they have cleaned it up since then.
I grew up on the island thank you for sharing brought back such wonderful memories ... I have 3 sons that live there ... hope you really enjoy your stay !! My one son surfboards around the island on the weekends !! Such fun!!! Safe journey friend!!!

Wow looks like July is better to travel to Malta. Buses are empty, even Marchaxlokk looks nice and empty in summer. I was last November there, buses were full, I had to wait 2 hours in Marschaxlokk for the bus, then came one so full of people that you couldn't go inside, and took a taxi (very hard to find) to Valetta. Those restaurants there were all full, you couldn't even find a seat to eat!!! So next time I travel in July, looks so peaceful and tranquil...enjoy!
Were you there when the fish market was happening? Because apparently that's when it gets crowded. There are still big crowds on Malta, check my last video: ruclips.net/video/T2VZUXkmHyQ/видео.html
Good score on that 10 euro lunch. Looked great and a beer included. Surprised Malta is so cheap for food being so isolated and dry. Looks like they must import a lot.
I look forward to your visit to Birgu (Vittoriosa) during your stay, tell me it’s on your list of places to visit this week, seriously, it’s a must when visiting Malta. Birgu was Malta’s capital before Valletta was built in the 1500’s. At the moment the whole square in the middle of town and surrounding areas within the fortified walls is dressed ready for the Birgu festa which begins next week, quite a sight! You’ve got the harbour and St. Angela’s Fort and lots of pretty streets too. Enjoy...😎
Sure, some company would be nice...........but it could also get in the way of him doing what he does. When you have someone with you, you can't be impulsive as you might want to be.

Hi Gabriel,
Nice to see you enjoying some nice food and some nice scenery as well.
People tend to head to Marsaxxlokk (Mah-sash-lock) on Sundays for the fish market. Other than that, it is relatively a quiet town.
The r in Marsaxlokk can usually be heard when saying the name**
