Hello Gabriel! Malta is definitely a beautiful place.. The landscape is a lot different than most islands you've visited.. The food looked amazing and so fresh.. Thanks for taking us along and until next time, take care and God Bless you! 🌺😊
I'm glad you mentioned contacting hotels directly instead of some booking websites. the last place I stayed at in Corfu charged me almost 37 euro a night via booking site. the Hotel said the same room, they could offer for 25 euros a night. Apparently, the room rates in Summer are hiked up 15-20% to cover booking website charges.
Yep, exactly. They have to pay the website and they pass that extra charge onto you, at least sometimes. At some places I've asked them at the desk which is better and they said it will be cheaper if I book it on the website.
As a local Maltese person, I can say Gab's tips are 100% correct. Any month outside of July and August is a good time to visit, the best by far being May, which will have glorious 25C weather and way less crowds than peak season. Rental cars during off peak season can be had for as little as €20 per day. Deals can be had on accommodation during this time to. Also agree with Gab about the beaches, don't visit Malta just for the beaches its not worth it. On the other hand If you want to experience the whole breath of human history, there's nigh a better place on the planet, with some nice beaches, unique natural landscapes and good food as the cherry on top. I will finish of with a plug for my partner's lovely airbnb in the quiet village of Qrendi which would make a great base to explore the island if you get a rental car: www.airbnb.com.mt/rooms/15718230
What would you say are the best beaches you have visited in the world? I agree, most of the Mediterranean doesn’t have the best beaches they’re kind of rocky. But the water is insanely blue and clear.. The best actual beaches, with powdery white sand and stuff, that I have ever visited are probably in Tulum, Mexico. It’s like walking on sugar.
Come visit us in Pensacola Florida up in the panhandle we have some of the prettiest beaches in the world 🌎 white sugar sand and clear turquoise Emerald waters!! I promise you won't be disappointed...✌☀️🌊⛱
I binged watched your videos before I went to Peru 3 years ago and here I am again binge watching your Malta series. You have great informative video. They’re great travel guides 👍🏼 thanks.
Hi Gabriel! I’m Maltese, found your video very interesting 😊 If you do come back, definitely come back during spring. With regards to beaches, for some reason Ghajn Tuffieha and Golden Bay are voted as the top beaches on the island time and time again and I just do not understand why. They’re crowded and if the wind is blowing towards the shore, there’s too much seaweed in the water to actually enjoy swimming. I would suggest visiting Delimara which is in the Southeast. There’s a lot of nice swimming spots and it’s great for hiking too. And definitely spend more time in Gozo if you return! You can pretty much walk everywhere there if you’re adventurous and if you’re not, the next place is just a 5 minute bus ride away.
Wowww I cannot wait for Malta. I have just 3 days left to go to this paradise 🤘 I will spend 12 days over there. Thank you for showing us the best of Malta!! The best video that I have seen about the cost.
Gabe. Here's a suggestion you probably can't afford! It is probably best off season, it is an island that is beautiful and two thirds pedestrianized mostly at higher levels with wild mountain trails such as the Passetiello Trail. Absolutely stunning views and beauty with history. You would have to scrub up for the Isle of Capri! I dare ya!
