Malta is one of the most beautiful places i´ve ever been. Last year we got lost in Sliema at night. The streets were full of lights, everywhere some puppets in the windows and a very beautiful decorated church (i don´t remember the name). It was stunning and i will never forget this beautiful night. So Gabriel, just take a walk at night (also in Valletta of course). It´s beautiful. Regards from Poland
Churches in Sliema: Stella Maris, Saint Gregory, and the Sacro Cuor. You could have gone lost in the week of one of those Feasts, that's why everything was decorated.
@luvluca toni I think that the best time to visit Malta is in Summer, as you have accessible beaches and if you like a warm/HOT Mediterranean weather. July and August, however, are very hot, maybe even TOO HOT, therefore May and September may be the best. I think it's best visiting Valletta and Mdina at first, then you can explore the Three (Old) Cities; Senglea, Cospicua, and Vittoriosa. But if you're not into history, and you're more into nightlife, then you must go to St. Julian's and Paceville. Beaches can be found all over Malta. Great introduction to Malta Gabriel , went there 7yrs ago myself , and had a great time exploring the island . Watching you walk around Valleta and talking so naturally makes it easy to watch , and then you add bits of its history and that just takes it up to another level . Stayed in Sliema which overlooks Valetta ,and swam in the harbour there on several occasions , just like you did at the end of the video , had to be done . Thanks for the memories Gabriel , enjoy Malta
I was also accommodated in St Julian's and visited Valletta, went to Gozo too.. basically everything Gabriel says here. Unfortunately I didn't synchronise my trips to his. Haha! Would have been amazing meeting the legend on the streets or even film a vlog with him. Wow
Malta is pretty much similar to Majorca... it's a little smaller and an independent country. Beautiful island. Soon we will start calling you King of Mediterranean :D Thanks for putting this up. For those of us who don't have opportunity to go to these places this is at least a way to see what's it's like.
just wanted to remind you i am looking forward to all your work on malta, the walled city, the other islands and etc. thanks again for making all this effort to inform and share info with others.
The best presentation of Malta I have ever seen ! You really make it enticing. I've been wanting to go for a couple of years, and your vid is renewing my interest. I know there's more to come, looking forward to next episode.
I went to Malta a few years ago and I loved it,stayed in st Julian’s bay.the people were so nice and the weather is amazing, the only place where I’ve ever had a lump in my throat when I left.
Perfect timing! We are heading out to Switzerland for a week in September and Malta for a week after that so this was exciting to see. Looks amazing so far! Enjoy.
Yesss!!! Finally! I think i left you 2 comments about my amazing country Malta! You did reply to one of them saying that you would consider it. And here you are now. I really hope to bump into you! Wish you an amazing stay
Beautiful beautiful Malta!! 😀❤☀️ thank you Gabriel! You made my day! 😎👌water looks so inviting as always! Stay safe! Waiting for more videos to come! 😊❤🙏
Great video man...🤙 My wife and I are heading to Spain for 10 days and on to Malta for 4 days in September before returning to SoCal. Keep on...keeping on.😎
First impression is very precious. when i arrived at some strange country, i try to feel deeply first impression all the time. thanks for sharing your worthy video.💕💕
It was a real eyeful and earful going strangely different countries like Korea, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Egypt I could never forget where the olfactory of the nose has much meaning and memory as very stimulating visual and sound experiences. The first impressions always builds story book fantasy narratives in our minds that really isn't ever real, but constructs high ideals of what the world could be if perfected to a higher level of culture, environment, and quality of life for everyone. These impressions last a lifetime permanently changing the mind of a guy or gal.
Malta is amazing ....I went about 10 years ago ...I stayed in melleiha bay .... Maltese people are so friendly ....I really need to go back after watching this video ...thanks Gabriel great video 👏👍
Hey Gabe, really cool to see you in Malta, have been there a couple of years ago, definitly worth it. Hope you enjoy your time over there, greetings from Turkey in the Mugla province!
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Found the Maltese people to be amongst the most friendly and helpful folks we'd encountered on our travels. They really made our holiday. But driving there is not for the faint-hearted as they drive like maniacs 😂.
There is so much to enjoy in Malta. History, great food, wonderful people, beaches, old villages, vistas and views of the Mediterranean Sea. But to be blown away, one needs to go inside St Johns Co-Cathedral. Head across the Grand Harbour to the 3 cities. One can spend many hours in the various museums in Valletta alone. The people are very friendly and helpful for your travels through Malta. Before you turned Left you walked past the best Pastizzi in Valletta. Sphinx
OMG . I live in Malta and haven’t actually walked into Valletta like you did. I definitely have to get off my sofa and go ASAP ! Glad you posted this. Thank you so much 🇲🇹🇲🇹🇲🇹🇲🇹
I was so lucky to see this arch (I am not sure but I think it was called azure window) before it collapsed. I was there in November 2016, very beautiful place! I liked Gozo, the main city Victoria is beautiful! Have a nice time there, try the rabbit dish, it is delicious!
St.julian is super touristy, but you'll have a lot of fun there, all of the Nightlife takes part in san J. If you have the chance try to explore in the North of the isle the so called 'fishermen village'
Hello my friend , i am Englishman in malta , Do weekly vlogs in malta, drop me a line if you need any help exploring beautiful malta you are very welcome
I actually spend quite a lot of time responding to comments, but I can't keep up with them all. I've been going through comments for the past hour or so and responding to a few here and there but just reading them takes a while, not to mention trying to reply to them all. Time for me to get to work editing my next video. Anyway thanks for the offer Englishman in Malta, I've got a long list of places to try to visit in the next few days. Thinking I should have planned to stay longer than a week.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos yes Gabriel malta has lots of hidden beauty, thats what i like to explore, for a small island lots to see and do , up to you my friend if you need any help just give me a shout, understand regarding comments and time, you are welcome back anytime
Wow, Malta is a beautiful classical military fort of a bygone great empire. I was almost expecting to see the Knights of Malta marching down the cobbled avenue in extravagant high styled shining armor doing some formal esoteric ritual for public viewing. The khaki place set against the bluest azure sky is one of the most stunning on Earth, but it's just old money aristocracy and well to do Europeans going on holiday with the occasional sprinkling of one American backpacker budget world nomad. I could easily just stay put there the rest of my life casting rod and reel, wining, and dining at my great splendid leisure.
gertjan van der meij Those two islands are quite different, I think. Gran Canaria is more like a typical beach tourist destination & Malta has very few, small sand beaches but a lot of history.
I love Malta. Went there bout 9 yrs ago and then recently last year. It had changed so much from the last time we were there. I love it though as it is so homely n just chilled out. Getting quite busy though in some places so I tend to avoid busy places as I like to enjoy the place where I am. I love Mdina n Rabat and marsaolokk.. And St Paul's Bay. Also valetta is a lovely city. Nice not too big. Just right.
Now we're talkin'. Very good first impression. I have a British phone box in front of my house (that I built - watched a youtube video on how to build one about 30 times). I didn't see any in your video but Malta seems like a good place for you to rent a scooter and cover the whole island - maybe do very slow selfie driving after you've gotten the hang of it. Ever done any motorized cycling (e-bike, scooter/moped, motorcycle)? It's pretty addictive. Islands, Mediterranean, beaches, architecture, history, a lot of pretty women everywhere you looked - you're in your element, Gabe. Kudos.
My mom was Maltese and I’ve been to Malta in 2014. It has so much to see and full of history. I plan to go again very soon. Try a pazitzzi while you are there. It’s a fast food available like a slice of pizza. Ken in Hoba Malta - I love Malta😘
Maybe Sicily is on your agenda Gabe as it's close by. I wanted to do the tour from Malta but it's too long a day. To see Mount Etna (10,912 feet high) there would be awesome!!
I'm glad you're in gorgeous Malta. I visited there about 20 years ago. This video brought back great memories. Do they still have the antique public buses ?
I have been a long time follower of your channel. One thing I think you are missing is more cultural things like cooking and music. You show the street stuff but I wish you went and spent time with a local family and filmed some traditional cooking and local bands
G’day Gabriel... what a cool looking place Malta 🇲🇹 is... Glad they speak English, makes it easier to communicate with everyone... Don’t get too close to the edge man, I get vertigo watching the video.. Stay Safe... 👍👍
Yeah it looks like I'm closer than I am since I'm sticking my arm out there. The fact they speak English here makes it a whole lot easier to get around.
I loved my time in Malta, got to see Azure Window before it collapsed! Wish I would have Vlogged my time there. Did you check out the nightlife at all?
Lovely place Malta, about 4 years ago ALL the prices tripled in just a summer season (shame the wages for the Maltese didn't) and is now an expensive place to go to
Thanks for the brief tour round the city. To look at it, you wouldn't imagine it was bombed so heavily in WW2. It was awarded the George cross medal I believe; an honour usually given to individuals, not islands (nations). I may be wrong but don't they have a history of the Knights templar, order of St John? I may be getting mixed up. Thanks again.
Knights of Malta (Knights Hospitaller, of St. John). The medal, equivalent to the Victoria Cross or Medal of Honor) is permanently on the national flag. Awarded for heroic resistance in WWII.
@@palibrae You may be wrong. I refer to the George cross awarded to the island by king George VI after the siege of Malta during WW2. Not anything to do with the catholic knights. Easy mistake to make.
AWESOME!!! You finally made it to Malta!! I have a video from valleta also! Take the tour for 25.00 euro from saint johns bay to comino and Gozo. Nice hotels in saint johns bay. Tropical inn and resort I think. Like 25.00 euro a night. You can take the city bus all over thw island for cheap. Also can go see the set for the movie of Popeye also. Like 2 euro for the bus ride. Park and set is like 14.00 euro.
Lol just saw you got the trip to comino and gozo. More expensive from valleta. When ypu get to gozo jup in the big white tour bus for 5 euro they hit a bunch of historical spots. Great deal.
Do you know why there are such a lot of steps ii the streets in Valletta? Well Valletta was built by the knights of St. John for the knights of St. John, as you realized most of Valletta is hills , 3 to be exact, the horses find it slippery so they built steps in the streets to accommodate them!
The pillars you see 6:30 and 9:24 aren't ruins they are decorations for the Feast of St. Dominic.
Proud to be from Valletta!!! Forza Valletta City!
If anyone wants to know anything about Valletta, just ask me.
Valletta was completely built by the Knights of St. John in 1571. Valletta was built as a celebration for the Knights, who defeated the Turkish Ottomans in the Great Siege of 1565.
The dome 15:08 is of the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, as written later. The Feast in Valletta of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, was just a few weeks ago.
The 'natural swimming pool' (16:55) is where the Waterpolo club of Valletta trains: Valletta United Waterpolo Club (Valletta UTD WPC).
In Valletta we have 4 (Main) Feasts:
1. St. Paul the Apostle
2. Our Lady of Mount Carmel
3. St. Dominic of Caleruega
4. St. Augustine of Hippo
Other small Feasts are:
1. St. Vincent

St.julian is super touristy, but you'll have a lot of fun there, all of the Nightlife takes part in san J. If you have the chance try to explore in the North of the isle the so called 'fishermen village'
Headed here in March. I have been all through Europe, but this will be an interesting 12 day visit.
Hello my friend , i am Englishman in malta , Do weekly vlogs in malta, drop me a line if you need any help exploring beautiful malta you are very welcome
he never responds to anyone, so don't expect a reply haha
@@TheWeardale1 yes i noticed, but I understand, i only have a small channel and find it so hard to keep up with the comments
@@EnglishmaninMalta iwillwatch some of your videos too... I love malta :)
I live in Sliema , Malta it is not easy staying here the air is horrible but the history is beautiful
Christopher Gingell Littlejohn yeah in some places it stinks of sewer
Classic end to this video, Gabriel. Nice tour of Valletta.
I wish you can get us a drone view of this Beautiful place.
Very nice to see ! I always wanted to go to Malta ! But i always choose Gran Canaria ;-)
Maybe i'll go next year , because it looks really nice !
gertjan van der meij Those two islands are quite different, I think.
Gran Canaria is more like a typical beach tourist destination & Malta has very few, small sand beaches but a lot of history.
Making good travel choices.
Wow that place looks amazing
no pressure. looking forward to more vids from malta.
Beautiful, nice camera work.
Just right.
Gabe, you need a sailboat.
Love the channel
Kudos.
Very lovely vidio thanks enjoyed watching it as i am maltese lady living in germany superb
My mom was Maltese and I’ve been to Malta in 2014. It has so much to see and full of history.
I plan to go again very soon. Try a pazitzzi while you are there. It’s a fast food available like a slice of pizza.
Ken in Hoba Malta - I love Malta😘
Beautiful place. Beautiful city. I had never heard of it. I jave a fascination with small islands, so I need to visit here.

Knights of Malta! Nights of St John!
getting dangerously close to Greece Gabe... bets are on, anybody? :D
What s the problem with Greece?
WoW! You found Fred and Barney’s old « man cave »👍😂
Nice Video✌️
Malta... An island fortress that will forever be in the hearts of us British.. 😍😍🔥🔥👌
Love malta, we used to go nearly every until they stop flying from norwich airport.
Maybe Sicily is on your agenda Gabe as it's close by. I wanted to do the tour from Malta but it's too long a day. To see Mount Etna (10,912 feet high) there would be awesome!!
Looks great. Such a rich history.
We have the oldest history too and beautiful beaches 🥰🥰
Beautiful beaches????? Wait wait... You just said beautiful beaches???? Omg, shittest "beaches" on the planet! Awful, really,

This is awesome thanks Gabe bro thanks awesome video asusual
I'm glad you're in gorgeous Malta. I visited there about 20 years ago. This video brought back great memories. Do they still have the antique public buses ?
Great place!
Malta is expensive because you've arrived at the height of the holiday season
Yeah, and it's a zoo. The problem is it's the height of the tourist season pretty much everywhere right now.
And now they have the euro.
@@doveronefoxtrot4417 lucky them!
I have been a long time follower of your channel. One thing I think you are missing is more cultural things like cooking and music. You show the street stuff but I wish you went and spent time with a local family and filmed some traditional cooking and local bands
👍 Malta what an interesting place that I've never even heard of before.
Malta looks very intriguing!
I loved my time in Malta, got to see Azure Window before it collapsed! Wish I would have Vlogged my time there. Did you check out the nightlife at all?
Lovely place Malta, about 4 years ago ALL the prices tripled in just a summer season (shame the wages for the Maltese didn't) and is now an expensive place to go to
Whoaaa that parking tho!
You tour of Malta was great, are you going to Mdina or the Palace? Would love to see that!
Malta is amazing
Also across the bay from where you are is dragut point beautiful scebery there of the old city valleta and the walls of the city.
Lol just saw you got the trip to comino and gozo. More expensive from valleta. When ypu get to gozo jup in the big white tour bus for 5 euro they hit a bunch of historical spots. Great deal.
Gabriel the little Malteser
Do you know why there are such a lot of steps ii the streets in Valletta?
Well Valletta was built by the knights of St. John for the knights of St. John, as you realized most of Valletta is hills , 3 to be exact, the horses find it slippery so they built steps in the streets to accommodate them!
