Can you punch needle directly onto the shirt, if you have a smaller needle? Or is it best to hand embroider the shirt? If so, how would you finish with the punch needle?

Hi there! 😊 Yes, you can definitely use a punch needle directly on a shirt, even if you have a smaller needle. Just make sure the fabric of the shirt is stable enough, and using an embroidery hoop can really help keep it taut and easy to work with.
Here are a few tips for the best results:
      - Stabilize the Fabric : Using a backing fabric or stabilizer behind the shirt can provide extra support and prevent stretching or tearing.
      - Needle Size : A smaller needle is great for delicate fabrics. Make sure your thread is also suitable for the fabric you’re working on.
      - Finishing Touches : After you’ve completed your design, secure the loops on the back with a bit of fabric glue to prevent any unraveling. Alternatively, you can sew small stitches around the edges of your design to keep everything in place.
If you’re a beginner, though, it might be a bit challenging to start with a shirt, as the fabric can be tricky to work with. You might want to practice on a piece of fabric first to get the hang of it.
I hope this helps! Happy crafting! 🌟🧵💖

@@BosquetSacrethank you so much. I have been practicing doing random beginner projects. My goal is to make somewhat matching shirts for my nephew and I when I go see him in a few months, so I wanted to start researching now to learn how and what I need (along with some practice on older shirts of the same material). I really appreciate your response! Do you have any suggestions on the glue or backing that would be best for this type of project?

What the name of the glue to iron on the shirt?

      Hello !
The name of the glue used to iron on a shirt is called “fusible interfacing” or simply “fusible.” It is a type of fabric with adhesive on one side that activates with heat from an iron. This helps in reinforcing the fabric or attaching appliques.
I hope this helps! I’d love to see your creation - feel free to share it with us! :)
      Have a nice day ☀️

      Hello !
For punch needle projects, you'll want to use a fabric glue or a tacky glue. These types of glue are designed to work well with textiles and will help secure your threads to the fabric. Make sure to apply it to the back of your project to keep everything in place :)
Enjoy your punch needle journey and do not hesitate to share your creation I would love to see it ! ❤️
