I thought I would have to hand wash but I ended up just trying it in a regular cycle (cold wash, low dry) and it turned out totally fine! It will depend on your yarn and sweatshirt though, so you may want to do a test wash with a scrap of yarn before sewing it!
YES!! Excellent tutorial
Thank you so much!
That’s great! I really like it!
Thank you!! I'm so glad you like it!
Would this work with a crayon since you said waxy, that’s the first thing that came to mind! I KNEW I kept those boxes of white crayons for a reason.
I have a regular Brother sewing machine. Can i use that one ? Or does it have to be a specific machine?
Yes you can use that! Any machine with a zig zag stitch will work for this project :)
@seekatesew great! Thank you much!
How do you launder these and do the seem to look the same once washed?

What type of sewing machine do you have?
I have a few...I think I'm using my Bernini b79 in this tutorial. I also use a Brother SE700 :)
You only cut the ends? When I cut it, the yarn is falling apart. Does that stop once it is sewn?
I only cut the ends and the wide zig zag stitch that I used held the yarn. Make sure to buy a good quality yarn, some will fray more than others
Could you please tell me what is the name of the yard? I bought a 7 but it’s big. It’s falling apart too.
I got it from Hobby Lobby - I don't remember the name but it was in the middle of the store near the fabric.
