Im a 90 and 97 man ...I remember when the 97 came out I was in 9th grade and searched every shoe store within a 60 mile radius before I ended up ordering them off eastbay...they were the first shoe I ever ordered and cost around $180 after shipping. I had to be the happiest kid on the planet the day they came in...I couldn't wait to go to school to flex lol.

I'm pretty sure that it was a little more than just having a visible air unit. I'm sure it's the actual space of the visible air unit that it occupies inside the midsole that separates the "Air MAX" unit from just your basic visible air unit.

Yea i fell in love with Nike Airs when i was 8 years old My parents took me to Champs sports and i ended up getting some bad ass black leather with the air in the back kinda like the 93s where its medium looking

Fast forward to today and vapour max, 720 and new 270s. More air, more air... I don't like the look of the newest shoes except maybe the 270s but was disappointed when trying it on. Out of those air max in the pack I have had four of them, my fave is the 90s.I I am hanging for a rerelease on BW's in the persian violet.
Also when i was 12 years old my uncle gave me a pair and i was like sweet they where purple on the to but then they where like all white basically two tone Nike air max and i was the fastest runner in my class man i would trade the world for both of my old pairs back lol
The retro air max 1, 90, BW and 180 have tiny air units compaired to their original ones of back in the day and they have no forefoot air either like they did
