This guy is The only shoe collector who is not a complete arrogant ass about it. He just loves sneakers he doesn't say things like "you ain't got these". He's just really excited about his collection and very humble about it
Dude your collection is incredible ! You're like the Alpha & Omega of sneaker collectors. It's so refreshing to see someone who actually cares about the shoes for the design, technology or story behind it instead of the hype or resale value. Thank you for sharing this with us. Respect.
Force was also Hersey Hawkins. One of my favorite players. My favorite line of shoes: 1.Flight series 2.Force 3.JORDAN (first 12) 4.Air Penny 5.Iversons answers. 6. Reebok BLACKTOP
air command forces were the first nike's i bought with my own money....i've been tempted to buy the retros (lol) i convinced my parents it was worth the money cause i would receive less potential for 'injury' during games .... which of course i never them in any actual play (that was left to the AF2s high top)...loved the commands but reebok owned the whole 'pump' wars. lol
Not sure if you just missed this point about the 180 Nike Pumps, but a really cool innovative thing about them was that the air release button actually has a black dial around it that when turned down pumps an air bag where your arch is, and when turned back pumps an air bag around your ankle. It was cool cause it wasn't just your ankle that fit like a glove, but also the bottom of your foot.
I can honestly say I really appreciate growing up when I did. Being in Jr. High back when these pumps released was the best time in sneaker history if you ask me. How is it almost 30 years later and nothing as exciting has taken place? At least comfort is better these days I guess.
Force 180’s had a selectable valve that could be rotated to the left or right to pump up the heal/ankle collar or the arch bladder under the insoles. Moving the valve to the center position locked the air release valve button. Unfortunately, all the 180’s used to crack around the 180 window with a few months of wear. Great shoe, but whatever foam they made the mid soles from was very unstable right from the start.
For the record david robinson never wore the nike air pressure there weren't too many guys who did. Mark jackson from the new york Knicks wore them for a few games during the 1990 season also,Ted Shackleford from n.c state wore them as well.It sucks that nike never marketed this shoe on t.v.
Best era for basketball trainers. I wore my Nike air force command 180 until the sole was literally gone, worn off. Never since was there a pair I loved as much as I loved them. I would love an exact re-run of them with the same colourway of white, green and black with the same selectable pump system (ankle and/or sole) and of course the 180 air bubble. Good times
I don’t know what has come over me in the last week but I’ve spent about $1000 on Nike command forces and Reebok pumps and I really don’t regret it. God I love sneakers man
Don't forget that the 180s had a dial that would pump up two parts of the uppers on them. So turn that dial and pump and turn it and pump other part. Then let air out and turn dial and let the other part of the air out. The 180 pump from 1992 is the only pair that pumped up two parts of the uppers.
Reeboks are crappy but you have Nike imitations from the same year and they're deteriorating even though they're shrink wrapped. Riiiiiiiiiiight. Makes perfect sense.
This was a great vid. Back in the day A classmate and myself were the only ones who had the air pressure Nikes. My classmate got his first. I got mines 1 week later.
too bad you're still wrong though... not every nike or jordan has an air bubble, only the jordan 1 & 2 don't have foam mid sole's- they crack and fall apart because they're 20 plus old shoes.
Love my Reebok Pumps. Was really expecting a 30 yr anniversary release in 2019 but it didnt happen. I have a few if ly favorite red and black Dominique wilkins Twilight Zones. FAVORITE shoe ever! Only problem is the pumps are a bit narrow in the toes and difficult to wear for a full day. Good to wear out to the store or for a quick 45 to 2 hr trip. But anything beyond that the Pumps hurt your feet. The Nike ripoffs are rare, but nothing beats the original.
Look out for the 2004 bring back of the 89 Reebok pump hi. The toe box is super wide. And yeah, I agree that the original pumps are the best. I love nike pumps, but Reebok is king.
Ready for a scare? In Australia in 1989, a new pair of Nike Air Pressure cost $360AUD at retail. Crazy? I scored a pair the next year for 200 and wore those suckers into ground. Now I have a pair of 2016 retro's that I won't wear.
I wore the Air command force, All white with a silver and black speckled heel at the time really epic. Nike foam In the heel were never durable as they broke down easily when exposed to out door use the upper was super tough even the thermoplastic side plate..One last thing Don't diss Reebok they are the PUMP and these were the knock offs at that time, along with L.A gear's Regulator pump...all rip offs.
You talk about the Nike pump evolving, I can't believe you didn't show the valve on the 180 that lets you choose between inflating the ankle or foot arch! P.S. Not sure how many pairs of the 180 in size 12 are left in that condition. I was offered such a pair a few years ago but passed up. But now with the Command Force retro out with pump, I have some hope we'll see the 180 pumps back as well in the near future.
I always wanted those Nike Pump Air Force 180's but never get them. I actually convinced my Dad to give me the money for them and when we went to the mall no one had any in my size. It was like 1991 so they had been out for a while and they were getting hard to find. I ended up getting some crappy Reebok Dee Brown pumps.
The air command force 180 HI The 180 designation wasn't for the air pocket on the bottom. The black part around the air release button is a switch that rotates front to back. Pump the shoe with the switch facing forward pumps up the tongue. Pump the shoe with the switch facing backwards pumps up the heel. Hence the 180 moniker. 180 degrees of air.

I was in third grade and one of my earliest memories was standing on the stage and pumping the hell out of our pumps and then jumping off trying to pop them. F.L or Champs must have put them on sale. This was the time of the Apple 2E buss at Oak St. School. Good times, the next shoe I wanted was the Jordan 6's in black, that was crazy, we were always into nike's until the
I remember the pump 180 pumping the arch if i rotated the dial . The ones i had in the 9th grade pumped around ankles and arch . I wish these shoes were stilll a option today. Stupid comfortable stupid sturdy stupid sexy lol
the 180 pumps didn't have the same pump system as the command force it had a 2 way pump the dial on the side turned so you could pump up 1 the collar of the shoe and then 2 you could pump the arch of the shoe as well. That was the next innovation then they stopped doing the pump thing. :)
Alright I need peoples help finding the Pump 180's for my dad. He has been telling me about how this was the best basketball shoe ever and how he used to play in them all the time. My dad currently is wearing a size 11 so if you know of any sellers out there with a nike air force pump 180 in the same color way as in the video, please tell me
I heard something to do with a lawsuit nike had with reebok about the pump technology patent. not sure exactly but I recall SirSneaker saying something about that in one of his videos

I had the air command force back in the day when I was a kid ... loved them tho they got wet a few times and it reacted with the glue , they smelled bad real bad 😆
I bought my pair from AliG6 on Ebay in 2005 for $565. Original retail price in 1991 was $150. The shoes are completely deadstock, unlaced, in a men's size 12, the exact same size as Jordan's pair. The shoes come complete with their original Nike 180 silver box, laces, and insoles. Nike Air Max chambers and pump system are intact. Some cracking along the midsoles is seen, which is to be expected based on the advanced age of the sneakers. An extremely rare, vintage Nike basketball sneaker, especially in this popular men's size, colorway, and deadstock condition complete with OG box and accessories. Enjoy the photos. i have a pair of some air force 180s black suede with volt green. theyre all beat up. theyy didnt featutre that pump feature but fuck i want another pair so bad. i seen them on ebay for like 300 but thats too much for shoes imo. retail or no sale
clearly you didn't understand that the comment was in reply to him saying that he bought the air command forces because he was scared he wouldn't see them again.
Solid overview but to just discuss the “pump” feature on the original Air Pressures is not doing that show justice. Having sold and worn all of the shoes shown here I can tell you that other than the second gen Reebok Pumps (Dee Brown version) they all were terrible “on-court” with the Air Pressures being the worst show I ever tried to play in. That said the shoe had way more than what was described here…for starters the pump itself attached to a METAL valve in the upper rear of the shoe that was completely made of polyurethane (absorbed moisture over time and cracks to pieces) which was the most ever put on ANY shoe to that point. The shoe strap was removable…I think a first for Nike. The lacing system was highly variable with two sets of laces that allowed for shorter lacing. The pump feature itself only pump a bladder that surrounded your lower Achilles, awful if overly inflated (Reeboks tongue design was better by default LOL)…the two features not mentioned are really the most impressive in my mind but we’re both poorly executed: #1. The tow box is seamless and mounded (a first for sure) and gave the shoe a really modern look compared to the sewing boarders at the time. The issue with this was that only people who didn’t mind their toes hitting the sloping top could wear them. #2. The air unit was not built into the midsole…it was removable and had a centimeter of air cells running from the base of your toes to the heel!!!! The issue here was that the insole was totally inflexible and made it impossible to flex the shoe unless you were 300LBs!!!! In the New York market Nike gave these to Mark Jackson…he hated the shoe with a passion. Mine died a decaying death but I would pull them out and show friends who remembered my time at Body&Sole and The Sneaker Store & More!

I rather concur with this statement.

Yep. I was just speaking of that. I had a pair when I was 13
Wow thank you for taking me back! Absolutely used to drool over those shoes when I was a kid.

great info and history and background, as usual. i'm always blown away by how much you know about the shoes. big props, keep it up!
I was soooo grateful Nike retroed the pressures and commands in recent memory. Now I’m just waiting on a 180 hi retro lol
I wish nike bring back the 180 pump . I need those . I always remember those shoes .

What I like the most about this guy is that he is so humble talking about his collection unlike mayor or dj delz, keep doing u man
Well those guys are New Yorkers probably from Brooklyn. That’s the culture over arrogance and ignorance sometimes are part of their daily diet
I don’t know what has come over me in the last week but I’ve spent about $1000 on Nike command forces and Reebok pumps and I really don’t regret it. God I love sneakers man
Reebok and nike pumps are awesome. They're definitely my favourite shoes.
I just love my two pairs of Nike Mags. You have so much great stuff and information to share Jordan. Thanks for everything!
Don't forget that the 180s had a dial that would pump up two parts of the uppers on them. So turn that dial and pump and turn it and pump other part. Then let air out and turn dial and let the other part of the air out. The 180 pump from 1992 is the only pair that pumped up two parts of the uppers.

You say both Reebok & Nike shoes are from the same year & the Nike shoe is disintegrated while the Reebok shoe is intact & going strong. Just THINK 😑
+MrSammv That's because there's no visible air unit in them, therefore, the soles don't crumble
+John Mancini reebok has better quality in general since Nike uses cheaper quality materials
doesnt have anything to do with the air unit its self, nike notoriously used a foam that doesn't age well for the mid sole.
Foam midsoles were only used when there was a visible airbubble, that was the connection i was trying to point out
too bad you're still wrong though... not every nike or jordan has an air bubble, only the jordan 1 & 2 don't have foam mid sole's- they crack and fall apart because they're 20 plus old shoes.
got me the retro Air comand Force 2016....Pumps work great.

Most beautiful Reebok pump silhouette ever imo.
It's bizarre that they've never given us an sxt retro. Same goes for the cxt.
Dennis Rodman had a pair of Reebok Pumps he wore the Reebok Pump Omnizone II
Yeah, the omni zone 2 while at the pistons. That was a fire colourway too. I'd love to find a pair.
I want those high pump 180 back. NIKE RETRO THOSE PLEASE.
Great collection ! I have the same kind of Pumps collection and i love its

Your review was really helpful. Thank you for sharing.
Why does everyone have to stay on Nike's nuts so hard? Reebok throwbacks are cool as shit. Kamikaze 1's are about the coolest looking shoe ever made and I grabbed my pair at Foot Action for $60. Crazy!
why did nike remove the air pump tech?
Air pressures where retroed earlier this year (I know this video is older)
I’m intensely jealous of people with air mags i would legitimately wear them everyday
I wanna buy the pr1 hoh but can't find them.
Reggie Lewis also wore them on the court too
The amount of heat in this video... I can't even.
But it makes me wonder why companies don't go back to this tech, I mean Reebok still has pump models today so I guess it still works right? Maybe it's just me but I think it'd be cool if there were air units in the forefoot and collar of the next LeBron model or something. Great vid!
Wish i could get the 1st Reebok pump shoes... And the force Hi 180's...
I saw a hyper Jade colorway here in Dubai on a thrift shop. I bought it but I later sold to my friend.
I had the air command force back in the day when I was a kid ... loved them tho they got wet a few times and it reacted with the glue , they smelled bad real bad 😆
Man you have the Nike Air pressure you're the king
Those air comand forces are retroing this year
Had the 2 and 3 gen Nikes never could find the first ones went everywhere trying to find them
LA Gear Regulators were all I could afford 😂😂😂😂
Your videos are so helpful and interesting thanks so much
I love Jordan. He is such a nerd haha
Do have the la gear lights the ones that had the lights in the sole of the shoe you could remove
Way cooler my azz, there is no other Pump than Reebok Pump, all other ones fail.
Ha, $3k for the Command force, and now they are $100...
kicksreason saw some of the Command Force retros in a UK outlet the other day - £31. That's about $45-50
LOL, thats great, they about the right price for that garbage quality Nike gave people.
+kicksreason I 100 percent agree with you
Cause his are og not retro thats why he paid 3k
Anthony Chapman the og commands aren't the 2014 release
espectacular video las command force pump son miticas de verdad lo maximo
This was a great very educational video.
Damn.....3K for the Air Command Force and you coulda waited for the recent retro. That sucks
That's OG, so it makes sense.
Nah...it still doesn't make sense.
Feel free to email me any offers.

same thing with Reebok clear soles. they don't yellow
I just bought my nike air commanders on footlocker today for 135 bucks!!!
Another amazing video! Thank you for all you info
Can you play basketball with these with no injury?
Yes. Great ankle support. 👍
Reebok all day all life!
very informative videos love it.. a lot of history included I like that
The original Robinson pump would inflate I could of sworn under the arch of your foot...I loved those shoes ...the retro do not....any one know why?
they did on the 180 pump's, not the original command force pumps
Got me an all red pair of command force for $170 "congratulations, you played yourself"
lestat oriol these are OG
Welp that plan worked out just right. Nike probably saw this video and re released the Nike Air Pressure in 2016
why not call just it the nike shoe museum?
Simply amazing brother..
im pretty sure on the command force u put air in the back thru a small bladder device
no, that's on the Nike air pressure shoe
@@troymurphy6531 No, these also. you must have never held on in hand. the back of this shoe has a hole in the back for inserting the bladder they just didn't include the bladder withe the Command force for some dumb reason...my guess is that nike never even added the internals for the shoe to even pump up. I've owned these. 2 colorways
The button on the back is the air release.
The pump is on lateral side of the shoe, near the collar.
There is a little hole there for the air intake.

Nike sold the Patent to Reebok that's why they didn't come back out with the pump
I heard Reeboks 20 year patent ran out, and that's why nike was able to make the command force and air pressure.
Man you are very cool love the content
how pissed of are you that they retroed the air command force a little over a year after you posted this video ?
Clearly you don't understand what this whole thing is about...
clearly you didn't understand that the comment was in reply to him saying that he bought the air command forces because he was scared he wouldn't see them again.
So you answered your own question but you still don't get it? He could never wear the pair that was showcased in this video.
Slick Trademarc are you any smarter two years later?

Cbass D. i don't want an exact price, just about.
awesome video
Reebok pumps are awesome better than those wannabe nike pumps
If you knew your sneaker history you'd know that nike's pump (89) came a full year (90) before the reebok pump.
Reebok can't even make money off their pump. People are begging for nike to retro there pump shoe.
Money & Mars pump up and air OUT
Cat adapt or perish a lesson reebok learned the hard way trying to make a profit off a gimmick shoe concept.
@Cheryl Have you been drinking again????????
I want to see him drop a shoe that would be funny
