I like the specific series subject, I think you know most about the 140 seeies than I.

Hey, man - cool video. I don't have a huge amount of experience with Master Lock locks - I got the orange belt using the 575, which is a cool little lock. I also have a circular padlock by them and I want to get the 410 LOTO as well. I've mostly picked Papaiz and particularly the Abus 5/40 and 65/50. I also have an American A1100 which I'm going to use for the green belt and a Wilko Security padlock which was the first full sized lock I ever picked - I also have some of those little Yale padlocks that people use for luggage and stuff and a Kasp that is actually partly broken, it came to me without a shackle but it still works for picking. I don't have that many padlocks, but I know the ones I have relatively well. I have a whole load of euros but I haven't been able to crack one of them yet - the picking angle feels very different and I need to get used to it, I guess. As far as the missing numbers in the 140 series? I don't know - the only thing I can think is that they might be so similar to other locks in the series that they just skipped over them, but then...that doesn't really make logical sense. Cool video man and, my current comfort lock is the Abus 65/50 (it changes, lol). :)

Nice! I'm currently banging my brain against the American 1100s trying to get my green belt. I'll have to check out a 575 sometime! Thanks for the tip!

Hey you probably already knew this, but i found out today that 140's apparently can have spool pins and even sometimes serrated in the European versions. Mentioned by lock noob a couple of times and i found a couple of people talking about on redit as well. makes me think that potentially the 144 and 145 could be some discontinued euro lock? I don't know, euro locks are hard to shop for an an american

I didn't know that! Thanks for the tip! I'd assumed they were all just standard pins. I'll have to see what I can find about the European versions and sounds like Lock Noob is a good place to start. Thank you so much for sharing that!

I saw one on another video and went looking for it and bought these and that’s what sent me down the rabbit hole. I’ll definitely post updates if I can find the 144 or 145.
