A company makes an incredible game, receives feedback and genuinely listens and implements it, and then gives us little treats just to show thanks? we are absolutely being spoiled ladies and gentleman.
Give me some Black Brother Hood outfits for the two times we have to fight them and the mask of ArchBishop Andreus, then we’ll be spoiled.👏🏽😙 Definitely cool that we’re at least getting Alidoros outfit and more juicy lore though.

They will eventually, as they grow, rely on investors, that's where their focus will shift to the investors instead. This is the fate of all successful companies, THERE IS NO EXECPTION. But for now, let's rejoice while they're still focusing on making a great game to provide us customers with something we truly love and enjoy.

Lies of P is a decent copy cat, nothing more, it barely did anything to call its’ own. If you think it deserves GOTY over Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, and the countless other 90+ Metacritic games that released this year, then lol.
The fact that these guys literally just dropped one of the best soulslike ever as their first big game amazes me and shows how talented they actually are!
True. It's still hard to believe. I had suspected that they were staffed by ex Fromsoftware employees. Turns out that isnt the case. These folks are just on another level.

Played this through Gamepass, honestly don't think would've tried it otherwise, and it's my game of the year. What a gem, beautiful, dark and passionate game. 10/10.
I played on game pass as well, but I think this game deserves all the money.
I’ve been looking forward to watching other people play it (I’m not a souls like player) since it was revealed years ago. Eventually I just couldn’t sit by watching other people enjoying the game and played it on GamePass. Finished my first souls like and I’m just waiting for a nice discount on the PS5 version so I can have a permanent copy on my main system.

Thank you for such an amazing addition to the "soulslike" genre of gaming. Lies of P has fast become one of my favorite games of all time and CERTAINLY has my vote for Game of the Year!

I’ve got the PLATINUM trophy (my first ever) and it’s my favorite Game of all time. However, we both know that when it comes to GAME OF THE YEAR, it’s not even in the top 3! ZELDA and HOGWARTS will win by a LANDSLIDE, then DIABLO and BALDUR’s gate will pick up the crumbs.
Lies of P was amazing, it has a level of humanity that's honestly hard to describe. Fitting for a game about a puppet with something more inside.

After watching this and seeing how happy and humble he and his team are, and how much they are willing to change and provide for us for free, I'm very glad I paid for a full price, new copy of the game. They absolutely deserve every cent.

They really do deserve it. The game is great and my game of the year in a year with Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy and Diablo 4.
I think this man will become a big, recognizable personality if he continues to make appearances like this or at game reveals.
Starting with the mask reminded me of the quirkiness and memorability of Yoko Taro, but I like that he revealed his face to get closer to the players because you can really feel his passion.
He might be the next Kojima or Miyazaki.
Ji-Won Choi is the future of the soulsborne genre! The perfect game director to carry the torch after From Software's Miyazaki retires. He gets the genre, gets what fans want, has open communication, and made one hell of a debut! I can't wait to see what the studio creates next.

@@paulhallas9649 No, but Miyazaki is 50. I see him directing for 10 more years then retiring on his well-deserved throne. Elden Ring 2 alone will take up most of that time. I’m not trying to insult the legend, just pointing out that the torch will be passed at some point and Choi is a great candidate.

hes so sincere, i swear i can feel it thru the screen, i can just FEEL the passion from this guy and the team! ive come to be cynical about games and developers at this point but this has truly warmed my heart and filled me with joy😊
I feel the same way. While I am on the picky side of games and can avoid disappointment most of the time, when developers do let me down it makes me less inclined to support most games. Especially when certain developers aren't as sincere as they should be.
But the Neowiz team is different. Lies of P is different. And Director Choi is the breath of fresh air we all needed. Or rather, he's a refreshing breeze to remind us that there still ARE passionate dev teams.

The passion that this man has for his game, the community, and his team is refreshing. I love the level of enthusiasm he has to want to show us the work they’ve been doing. This is clearly a passion project for them, and it shows in the game. What a rare gem for the gaming industry. I am greatly looking forward to the dlc and all future endeavors from this studio!

I am 50 years old and my reflexes are not that good anymore.
I had to sharpen them again and try every trick in the book to finish the optional final boss in NG+1

Me too! It may be a hard push for Game of The Year between Legend of Zelda: Years of the Kingdom, Spider-Man 2 and Hogwarts Legacy. But if nothing else Lies of P deserves to win Best Soundtrack and whatever award there is for game mechanics.

I am going through the darkest and most challenging days of my life. During this process, I find out your game. I owe you a debt of gratitude for rekindling my connection to life at such a time. At a moment when I said to myself, ‘I guess I’m tired of games, or I can’t focus on any game, and perhaps the problem is with me!’ this game convinced me that I could love games again. I haven’t been able to defeat the final alternative boss yet, but I have no intention of giving up my heart. I hope to defeat the final boss too!.. Once again, thank you for reminding me of the feeling of what was the fighting against enemies and how was the difficult adventures. I wish I knew Korean and could write these words to you in Korean. I hope you see and read this somewhere. I hope to work with you one day. I have no experience, but even helping with your office tasks would be an honour for me. I wish you great success.

I tried this game on gamepass, I loved it so much I collected all achievements. Then to support you guys I purchased the deluxe edition on PlayStation, and got the platinum there as well.

Absolutely love this game. Pinocchio was a great choice for an adaptation to the souls-like world. I can't wait for any dlc's and hopefully a future game continuing the story. Hats off to Neowiz and Round 8.
One of my favorite thing about the game is the fact that Krat isn’t abandoned as a level past the opening stages. That’s my only grip with Bloodborne: Yarhnam was so good, I wished more of the game could have been spent there. These guys did that with Krat. It’s wonderful

Lies of P is now one of my all time favourite games. I've played through it 4 times and still enjoy every bit of the world that you have created. I love the lore, the stories and all the characters. I especially love the demanding combat. Thank you for all your efforts.

The fact that you are releasing the music is huge. I absolutely love all the music in Lies of P. Having the records and listening after a quest is completed adds so much more meaning to the feeling.

When that certain character passed away, I had the record playing and I will admit I teared up! I truly felt the loss of the friend in the game, and the hole it left in the hearts of everyone who loved them.
Now this is how you show the love to your playerbase! So impressed with the team's handling regarding all aspects of this game! Thank you for this masterpiece!

One thing that really makes Lies of P stand out to me is the upgrade system. The 4 types of upgrades within the quartz choices allows for so much creativity and build tailoring that other games can really miss.

Yeah nowadays all they care about is money at least these dudes aren't in it JUST for the money but they genuinely seek to make a game enjoyable for the players and they make money at the same time

Please don’t lower the difficulty of the game. That’s one of its greatest strengths. Great job excited for more.
I don't think that they will change the difficulty itself. I think that they will just change the parts that were unfair and difficult for no reason (like the shovel robot stunlocking you, where him hitting you guaranteed your demise). Rising dodge is usually a default feature in the similar game, so they decided to make it that way as well. The difficulty is not about trying to hitless the whole game, I think. It is more about knowing when and how to trade with your resources.
I mean the shovel robot really wasn't that bad,
U can literally use puppet string attack to get a free heavy charge attacks, u have p-org to buff ur attacks, amulets to buff ur attacks .
U can cheese it, perfect guard, wait till there's a opening

@@cloudyworldview6973 After playing more than 1000 hours total in Souls games I am creative enough to think a way to kill this enemyefficiently (after all, I beat Lies of P 3 times already). The issue is not that you can't find a way to deal with it. The issue is that it is unfair for no specific reason. Obviously, you can even kill this enemy with consumable and a gun, but this is not a vibe of the whole game, which is more about being aggressive, parying and blocking to regain health and to stagger. Parry frame window is quite precise, and if you miss a parry, you become a pancake. Most of the bosses are more fair than this enemy. You can't equip high-poise armor in this game.
The logic you mentioned is okay, but this enemy feels like a torch hollow from DS1, not some "difficult boss".

Plus Those are all aggressive methods, zoning, whiff punishing, poking, can be use in shovels. It's however a person chooses to approach shovels

after my first playthrough I haven't gotten hit with that. So it doesn't matter to me.
U can say it's not the vibe but it's all in there for a reason , I don't need to use throw able or consumables for enemy like that
People are gonna play how they like and complain about things they don't like and want to change while some want it to stay the same with new improvement, & thats fine everyone wants it's to get better anyways,

Makes me wonder if they'll be adding a new skill in its place, or if it'll just be unlocked by default.
Well, I think they should move some skill from later phases instead, like the guard regain or higher destruction dmg or whatever, and put new skill in the later phases instead, I was thinking like heal on Fatal attacks or something. But whatever they do, I'll be happy even tho I did not use any movement upgrades I still think it should be part of the base movement

An Absolute masterpiece of a game, I traditionally don’t tend to play souls like games but this game I have 100% within days. I’m maxed out lv 561 and on NG+10. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the future of this game ❤️.

I absolutely LOVED this game. Have finished it 5 times with a total of 136 hours invested on it.
It just has this "someting" that makes you know it was made with love. The characters, music, combat, the enemies... it just has everthing I love from a game, and it's without any doubt my personal GOTY.
You've already addressed one of the requests I had for it which was the OST but there's something else. I think there's too little concept art shared, so maybe, if you could make an artbook or release high resolution images of Lies of P characters, it would be very much appreciatted.
I'd love to have a poster of it in my room :)

wow, im on my first playthrough and i am around 50 hours now, and i just got to the door guardian. 136 seems like not very much hours for 5 playthroughs
I did 108 hours 4 complete runs and managed 100% achievements. What a masterpiece this game is
@@lepersonnage371 It's the same thing for all of these games, your first playthrough will take massively, exponentially longer than any of your future ones. I'm 18-19 hours in and am, I think, halfway through the Grand Exhibition Gallery, I think it's around midgame

Dark souls was a game that helped me overcome many obstacles in my early childhood, and it is because of that along with the grueling difficultly that can feel unforgiving at times, it has grown to be apart of my personality. I’ve been searching for a game that will give me that same satisfaction with consecutive replays. It has been 10 years that I’ve searched, and yet I found it in a game that was (for lack of better words) swept under the rug. I saw no ads for it, upon release many people were skeptical and yet, this game met if not surpassed that sense of nostalgia, care, difficulty, and excitement that Dark Souls gave me. I thank you for showing such love and attention to this master piece but I ask that your marketing team give this game the chance is deserves with advertising and marketing. Nevertheless Thank you from the bottom of My heart for making this for us.

i know the video was posted 9 months ago but everyday I can't wait for that DLC to drop, just imagining the new areas we can get, the bosses, the soundtrack that will accompany these areas and bosses. It's all super exciting to see what else you have to bring to this game and best believe I'll be one of the first people ready to buy any extra content this game has to offer

I have been in love with stories from South Korea for over 20 years now. I am so excited to see this game come to the USA and do so well here as well as worldwide. the final perfect Carlo tune makes me think that have i really done the right thing for Sophia because when i completed my first playthrough and play this tune. I do feel empty and not just about the hotel, its the whole world of the game. After 2 months playing the game with 3 complete playthrough, seeing Sophia survive and live again makes me feel i have done the right thing for the game. To all developers, you should be proud of this achievement, i have platinum this game and it worth every second of play. Thank you so much for everything you done for the game. Take care.

I absolutely loved this game. I’ve played it twice now and am about to start my third play through. It’s been a while since I’ve had this much fun in a game. I’m also so excited that they are releasing the album. I sometimes find my self standing in hotel for so long listening to the records. I’m so gonna buy the dlc when it releases. Thank you for such an amazing. Definitely in my top 3 games of all time.
