    They showed a slow motion version of this on the postgame on SC and the ref turns, acknowledges Decker, removes his whistle and nods after whatever Decker said, and takes off directly to tell the defense…Skipper #70 never even gets near the ref before he takes off to tell the defense.
    The ref clearly told the defense the wrong player and mixed it up, all on him, and a MASSIVE mistake that just cost the Lions a chance to go ahead with only 23 secs left 🤦‍♂️
    They even showed Goff tell Decker to go report and he pushes him that way right before Decker goes and tells him…this is insane there’s even a controversy, fire that ref.

      This ref is claiming that #68 walked up to report #70 as an eligible receiver. Really? That makes absolutely ZERO sense. Especially when #70 lined up at tackle (ineligible)and 68 was the intended (eligible) receiver. This ref f*****d up royally. He announced the wrong number exactly like you said.

      Ryan Clark is embarrassing himself. Skipper who is 70 was the declared player. If he is declared he is not allowed to line up illegal by rule. Clark needs to understand the rules better. If 68 declared to the ref he gets his acknowledgement from the ref by the ref declaring him eligible. That did not happen and that is on the player. Even the QB should know this and have 68 tell the ref again. The ref did not hear or understand 68 or he would have been declared. 70 is not allowed to declare and line up illegally. If the Lions are saying he never declared then it is up to them to correct the ref. Which is just common sense. But the Lions never objected to 70 being declared. Which says the Lions and Clark just don't understand the rules.

And they can’t have their baby dolls, that the Dallas Cowboys lose a game, they lost two in a row, and the NFL was not gonna allow them to lose three in a row, anybody with any basic intelligence, or working eyes, can see that the lions got completely an utterly scanned! This looks like a good, old-fashioned payoff! If I was Dan Campbell, I would beat this horse until every ball, its body was broken, there’s no way I would let up on this, in fact, if I was a Detroit Lions organization, I would get ready to pay a fine and just go right to the media and absolutely destroy Officiating, there is no way I would let this thing go because it keeps happening to other teams as well. If Dallas knew 68 was eligible which they didn't.. HE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN WIDENOPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. Campbell goes on 4th and goal earlier in the game, not taking the easy FG. Aikman comments "I'd be taking the points". How huge was not taking those 3 points? The final TD still left you down one, instead of giving you the lead right then. That decision was just as much to blame. So was missing a tackle for a saftey and having a defender lose their footing on the 92 yard td pass to Lamb. Take the L. And for Dallas haters, learn to live with it.

    • @Avvura
      @Avvura 7 месяцев назад +1

      Way to play hindsight football. That happened early in the game. You can take the risk early, because you have the rest of the game to make up for it. Plus, at worst, Dallas is inside their own 20 anyways. And, as you saw, it ended up completely winnable anyways. You're inside the 10, teams should be way more aggressive, especially early in games. You have 4 downs, use them. The other team is backed up, so then trust your defense.
      Getting 7 over 3 is huge, and especially early in games, its way more momentum.

    Make no mistake, Dan Campbell did a lot to lose this game. Plenty of easy kicks that could have ended in a Dallas loss. That call at the end of the game was just awful. You can see the Tackle report as eligible to the official. Sure enough the Lions score, then the officials call a game changing penalty. It’s almost like they had to figure out a way to change the outcome of the game. I’m not sure if it is gross negligence by the officiating crew or an obvious fixing of the game. The NFL needs to clean this up ASAP or no one will trust the game and they’ll lose a lot of viewers.
