- @vCuda sent me his series 2 controller that broke in the weirdest way. The connector that mates the two PCBs broke off and took all but one pad with it. Unlike most of my ridiculous trace repair videos this one is economically beneficial as the controller is almost 200 bucks! Lets fix this in solderking fashion!

Hey another great vid. Super that Hakko hooked you up like that. Quality work need quality tools :). Question what program do you use to test controller and also is that the same program used to calibrate the sticks? I replaced both sticks with genuine alps but still have stick drifts on both in the exact same direction. Thanks for the vids and sharing your knowledge!

I used "game controller tester" and it can be found in Xbox and PC. Unfortunately many sticks will have drift so you're either going to have to try and match the resistance which is possible to an extent or install a drift fix PCB.
@@Solder_king Thanks for your reply. Yea that sucks. I started with ebay sticks then realized why they are so cheap and got genuine ones from an Alps' distributor but 40 sticks in and I see this is more common than I thought. My only thing is, how do the game manufacturers do it? I mean yes you can get stick drift from a controller out the box but that is rare so they must have a way to calibrate them.

Awesome job, do have the pcn diagram for the elite 2 controller?, I got a controller with some missing traces from the Right joystick.
First time viewer, amazing soldering skills, I’ve seen other repairers use small grinding pens for clearing solder mask along with small pad replacements that work for them very well, if want see what I mean check out NorthRidge fix on RUclips, he does tons of repair videos.
Did you go to school or self teach. Reason I ask is because I’m In to this type of stuff with coding. Just want to see if you had any trips on school or self teaching ?
